  1. Pieces of it are in the storage area by MB turnaround. It is expected to go in next year along with possibly a bigger expansion to Splash Works.
  2. I would sooner see Skyrider stay and a new coaster being built in addition to that or another ride going away. I am not a huge Skyrider fan, however it is one of the most well kept Togo stand-ups out there.
  3. ^Being this is their most attended seasonal park it would only make sense to build it up. The park is really starting to fill out it's collection of coasters and truly does have one of the best flat ride collections out there.
  4. It is now up to 450 Minutes!!! Wow, that is literally an entire day in a line. Last I heard too was the line to get into Diagon Alley itself was 2-3hrs. Not sure if that's still the case or not.
  5. If you're hitting the major attractions you may be able to do both parks in a day. I usually hop back and forth between the two when I go. If you're doubtful, get the Express Pass as that will help greatly. Now, if Potter 2.0 has soft opened I would presume that you may be in for some lines in that side which will impact that idea. One suggestion I'd have, do single rider lines. If you aren't set on riding with people you're going with and willing to risk riding apart from each other, that is the best thing to do. A 90min wait for Forbidden Journey could end up being a 10min wait through the Single Rider line.
  6. ^Sorry Chuck. I meant to remove the link in my reply but forgot. Back to the topic at hand, has anyone been to the park since this minor incident to see what is going on?
  7. Personally I am very "Meh" about the ride. It is very impressive to look at when it's running but I personally just don't get it. All it does is spins, goes ups and bangs your ears and then goes down and bangs your ears. It's been plagued with a lot of issues over the years and a lot of downtime indeed, but even when it's running, I am just personally not a fan. I do know quite the few people who love that ride but I will never understand it.
  8. WOW...I honestly can't say anything else but wow. I am glad we are finally seeing official renderings and such and really hope nothing falls apart. I normally stay at the Rosen Inn which is basically right by this, so for what I am extra excited! I am intrigued with the little bit of track that's going in and out of the buildings, curious if that will be pre or post main coaster part. I'd assume by the red track being the same as the lift that it would be a pre-lift section. Should be fun either way.
  9. It's a great addition to the park. I can see it's not going to be for everyone but truly what ride is?
  10. You get then while you're about to head to the load gates and you pass them back before you get off the train.
  11. Yup, couldn't agree more. So now Wonderland has 17 coasters. That's a pretty decent number indeed.
  12. They have the photo booth in there and remember, they are constantly look at ways to improve this ride.
  13. ^They could have but I don't think they needed to. Also, if they did and added it outside of the entrance, it would have no impact on the ride itself. I think one thing I would love to see though would be more merchandise. They are totally losing out on some good money opportunities I feel with the lack of plush animals from the show. Those spiders/dragons/lizards/etc could, even though they are "bad guys", be great take home gifts for kids. They have Lord Ormaar plushies, but nothing else.
  14. I am a credit whore so for that, sure, but at the end of the day I just want a good ride. Wounder Mountain's Guardian is definitely a good ride and for that I am super happy.
  15. From the Wonderland site in regards to Wounder Mountain's Guardian:
  16. The lift, dip and turn into turn into the mountain is the most obvious coaster section, inside however it is all coaster track, and does travel along based off gravity. At Guardathon this weekend the park management and TrioTech staff have now started referring to it as a coaster/dark ride. It's a fun ride so I'm not too concerned if it's a credit or not, however if you count Journey to Atlantis at Seaworld Sam Antonio, then there is no question this would count as credit. I can definitely see how a lot will debate the credit definition though.
  17. Ernest Yale, President and CEO of Triotech was onsite during the opening on Saturday and dressed as a civilian getting opinions from riders. Throughout the day he was getting nothing but positive reviews from anyone that had ridden it. As for the vehicles tilting/rotating more, I do not feel that it impacts the ride that much. There is no need for it to tilt. Some of the visuals that they've done really make it feel as if your car is moving downwards, like in Spiderman when you are falling off the building. I personally think the idea of having each side offer a separate ride experience only heightens the reason to re-ride. Again, that's just my view on it and I totally get and respect those who think differently. Cedar Fair is said to be very happy with how the ride has turned out and excited to see where the can go with this technology. I love the fact that the content can be changed up and modified at the flip of a switch. It has been confirmed by Ernest and Wonderland yesterday during Guardathon that the ride will change up for Halloween Haunt into a zombie themed ride. In addition to the Haunt overlay, they will also be able to adjust any of the scenes currently in the ride and could even go as far as completely re-theming it down the road to an entirely new story should they want to go that route. Remember guys, this is not Disney or Universal, this is not some major 200+ million dollar attraction. This ride was made for 12 million approximately and for that cost I feel they blew it out of the water. Is the ride perfect? No. Did the ride exceed what I was expecting? Totally. The animation is much improved over some of Triotech's previous work and the fact that it is all rendered in real time rather than pre-rendered, I was quite impressed. The finale, which sucks for some that it's been spoiled on here so soon (though such is life on the internet), is really well done and none of the new riders ever expected that. I love that at the end of the ride your face is up there if you make a top score of the day and it stays up there if you get into the upper echelon of high scores overall, well until someone beats you of course. Good job Cedar Fair, Canada's Wonderland and Triotech!
  18. ^Which way were you facing going up the hill? As mentioned earlier, it is a very different ride depending on which way you are facing. If you want more story you want to be facing forwards going up the lift. If you want to get a higher score you'd wanna be going backwards. I love the fact of the little secrets during the ride, for example in the final scene you want to explode all the crates at the bottom to find the crown. Once you find it, simply shoot it. I believe that's what helped get me into 2nd overall for the day on the high score list. There are lots of hidden targets like that throughout the ride.
  19. ^The park does not authorized on ride footage so no. When the time comes I will be there for media day and will do what I can then, but I will not break park rules. I wouldn't want to see POV of a ride like this anyways based off how dark it may be inside, 3d images, etc. Don't think it will translate well. Any on-ride footage I see of Toy Story Mania or most dark rides makes me question the point of it. Now, if it's a lights on POV, that may be different in regards to quality. The best way to see this ride is on the train, gun in hand and 3d glasses on! I now believe in dragons!
  20. I am going to try and do a spoiler and non spoiler review tomorrow. I agree that the station looks amazing. Nice to see they have TV's in there that I can assume will act as a pre-show. As for the shin guards, I think that due to the coaster elements, potential set pieces, and maybe the 42" height option they are more of a safety than anything else. Potentially could play into the surprise ending as well.
  21. Awesome news! I will be there tomorrow getting photos and videos as always. The photo they released on their Facebook page showing off the station is amazing. Very good themeing indeed.
  22. ^The fountains at night for Starlight Spectacular are amazing, however when the LED lights are off and it's daytime they are missing some pizzazz, hence why I feel they need to go larger than how it's currently set up for the daytime show.
