^ That is certainly the most colorful Monster ride I've ever seen. I did a little digging around on the unofficial WOF website, and I believe the answer is yes to both of your questions. That picture must have been taken when it was themed to Tail-Spinner and was part of the Aerodrome section. Too bad I never got to visit the park back then! -

^ Mmmm turkey! Here's another Eyerly Monster ride, Oriental Octopus, when it was located in the Oriental section at Worlds of Fun. In the mid-80's, it was moved to the Aerodrome section as Tail-Spinner, then removed from the park in 1996, and finally reinstalled in the Scandinavia section in 1998 where it thankfully lives on today. What are those things floating by in the sky? -

I believe WOF does still have their Monster ride, or at least they did back in 2006 when I rode it. The one at AstroWorld sounds like it was amazing and intense! By the way, great card with Glissade! -

^^^ Shane I miss Mo Mo too. Man that ride sure did get moved around in the park a lot. I remember it being in the USA section the first time I went to SFOG, and then the next time I went it was over in the Cotton States at the end of the GASM midway where Skull Island is now. Those Eyerly Monster rides sure are rare now. ^^ YES monsterfan99 please share with us that Python card! ^ kitsch transporter...Great info on the Himalaya Bahn. Must get to the German fairs one day! -

Oh I totally remember driving by Graystone Manor now the last time I went to Alabama. It's where Uncle Charlie's Flea Market is held normally. I drive through Killen all the time when I go see my parents. Next time you're in Florence you will have to drive across the creepy Ghost Bridge if it's still standing. It's rumored to be haunted. Yeah I saw that Ghost Adventures episode at Sloss Furnace too. Pretty crazy. I went there back many years ago to see The Replacements when they were actually still a band and Sloss had shows. I want to like Ghost Adventures, but the host is just so overly dramatic when something like water drips. IMO Ghost Hunters is a better show. -

Well I certainly never in a million years thought I'd see a picture of Funland on TPR. It is quite ghetto for an FEC, but friends and I used to go there ever so often and do the water slides and mini golf. In addition to the pipe slide, it has the very old school "CONCRETE scrap the skin off your back if you fall off your mat" style of slides you can see in the lower left of the photo. Been there done that lol. By the way, was Graystone Manor a haunted house attraction? This is a cool PTR. -

In Nashville it was $1.65 as I left work tonight. I wonder if the US holiday (Thanksgiving) this week will slow or stall the price drop. -
Yeah it was Smokey Mountain Coasterfest, which by the way was REALLY good last year even though I went/hung out by myself. Didn't make it happen this year. I'm glad so many people feel the love for my little home state park. Great pics too and thanks for sharing!

It might have helped if HRP specifically had a "Magic Bus" (The Who)themed shuttle to and from the park & beach for at least 30 mins before opening until at least 30 mins after park close. I use the one in Pigeon Forge (Dolly Trolley) all the time when I go to Dollywood. It really saves on parking hassle, and at a measly $.50 each way is quite the bargain over parking fees. The busses would have given HRP more exposure and marketing along the beach too.

Wow man I used to live in the shire of Florence many a moon ago. Didn't think anyone else here was familiar with said noble village. 'Tis a cool town though, and I still visit there regularly since my parents live not too far fom there. Nice to see these pics! -
