LOL Shane...not a fan of the 1st gens? I've always liked them except for that terrible bump and jar to the head when the car transitions back to the lower track. And yes the SCAREadise series has been kicked to the curb much like the old regime you mentioned! By the way how was Mexico? We need a FULL photo TR! I suppose with this month's big U.S.A. holiday of Thanksgiving coming up we could go with a theme of rides/parks that are real turkeys, but I think I'm personally just going to keep at a weekly anything goes for now. Feel free to post your turkeys though if you wish. I do have something a little special to gobble over for Thanksgiving. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions for the Paradise, please speak up. Also we need more contributers in here so everyone come on...show us what's in your collection! -

My best description of the Wildstorm is a mix of an Enterprise with Paratrooper cars...but it does more! Each individual car has a holding brake, and the holding brake locks the cars into place while looping around the circumference like an Enterprise. Then the holding brake is released and the cars are allowed to freely swing and even rotate around their individual axis for even more 360 degree madness! I think several people on the Japan trip got their cars to do multiple inversions around the axis. Maybe Peter will post his vid of it. -

Awesome stuff Shane. Togo...maker of my favorite flat ride ever...Wildstorm. It was such a thrill to discover this gem of a ride on the Japan trip! -

Both parks are really fun at Christmas. I highly recommend it! Just be sure the weather doesn't call for below 40 degrees temps or DW will begin to shut down Thunderhead. -

And before it was Silver Dollar City it was Goldrush Junction, and before that it was Rebel Railroad. I've been going to the park since I was about 5 years old and it's been amazing watching it grow up. I think the park might've finally hit puberty...hard to tell just yet. I agree Tennessee Tornado is the bizzomb Arrow. By far, their greatest creation ever IMO. -

Terrance you definitely took the scenic route. From the ATL all you had to do was drive north on I-75 to Chattanooga and then switch to I-40 E through Knoxville where Dollywood is just about 30 minutes further. I think you took the better route personally though...love those mountain views through the state park. -

This sounds like a great event and a cool way of giving back to the community. Thanks for sharing! -
How funny...I too have thought of this idea. Also, do you think there are any other colors that exist which we cannot see with human eyes?

***BREAKING NEWS*** This just in from the TPR News Network: In a surprising turn of political events and with only two days to go before the United States presidential election, today from Santa Claus, Indiana George the Eagle announced his campaign for the candidacy of the White House. Promising free soft drinks and affordable fudge for everyone, George seeks your vote on Tuesday, November 4th! I'm not like those other Georges....no really....seriously! I'm George the Eagle and I approve this message. -

That's cool. From what I can gather from that website link, Skull Island sounds a bit like it was inspired by Disneyland's Tom Sawyer Island. The Skull Slide would've been fun for a TPR takeover! -

Actually yeah now that you mention it, I do remember the cars having that Morgan feel inside them, so I stand corrected. I think it was the headrest removal that threw my memory off. Good call! Matteocrepaldi...that's a cool Gardaland card. At first I totally thought it was a picture of a scaled model. -

Where were you on Halloween weekend 2005? Well I had the good fortune to be a Six Flags season pass holder that year, which as it turned out was required to visit Six Flags AstroWorld on its final 2 days of operation ever before SF sent it to the grave. If you didn't have a season pass you were screwed, and SF would not let you in the gate. I guess it was a way to control the vast numbers of people coming to pay homage to their home park one last time. When I heard the news that the park was closing after Halloween weekend, I knew I had to get to Houston one more time as I had not visited AstroWorld since the 1980's. I had a really good time that weekend in 2005, and I still think it's a shame the park was ever laid to rest (Boo to Kieran Burke!). Here's the Texas Cyclone in all it's "coffin" style train glory. Fortunately by the time I rode TC again, those Morgan trains had been replaced by PTC stock. I was able to catch the last public train of the night on it ever and have to say the SF maintenance guys really showed some love to this coaster over the years - much moreso than to its younger Georgia cousin in my opinion. It was still fairly smooth and a great ride! R.I.P. Texas Cyclone and AstroWorld. Happy Halloween everybody! Thrills, Chills Coffins -

LOL...that might be the scariest card of this series! If I remember correctly, it's a "fairy" from Droomvlucht (Dream Flight), one of the most messed up and in my opinion strange but fun dark rides ever. It even has a "coaster" section near the end. I bet Jeff Johnson counts it as a credit. Hi Jeff!
