So is RXCC a Jeff Johnson credit? A footer cracked? It must've been interesting on how they fixed that. Hopefully it was at a low spot to make the job easier.

(K'nex Coaster)Sandstorm
Ccron10 replied to Ccron10's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I understand and that's a good idea. So far I have one exhibit made (World Record Breakers). I plan on doing exhibits on Xtreme Coasters as well as rides which will focus on abnormal rides. I also want to put together a video with ride POVs and TV shorts to play. I will provide full credit for the videos and put a disclaimer not to try this. -

It is an Intamin period. From the way it looks it seems like an iSpeed-type of coaster. I can't wait to see the layout and hope they try something new inversion-wise. Since the area near the construction site is themed to the Congo, the yellow paintjob does fit. -
Hershey Park VS Pocono Race Day
Ccron10 replied to eddie200330's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My dad went to a few Nascar races and he told me many hotels probably up to a 50 mile radius around the track are usually booked and guessing from this number it would put Hersheypark maybe 20 to 30 miles outside of this radius. My guess is the park might have a few more people than usually, but nothing causing the park to be extremely packed with 2 hour queue waits. -

The Final Countdown... It is June which means only 28 days until D-Day (Display Day). I have 2 new updates; the trains have been given a different look and work has begun on building the 21 foot by 11 foot display platform. Although the cars might not be the greatest looking, they do look realistic. I have decided to add the names of my "sponsors" to the front and backs of the cars as well as the coaster's name on the lead car. I even added the train number and seat numbers as well. Before you ask why I have Hersheypark on it, I plan on using my February photos in one of the exhibits. And finally.... The TPR bumper sticker! The coaster platform has only 1 of the 4 platforms needed to complete this. Each one is 4 foot by 8 foot and I am going to use 5 wooden panels, and 20 2X4's (enough to make it somewhat look like a logging company in my driveway. I still need a recomendation for my last display exhibit so if you have any ideas, please post them! -

Uh, Boardwalk? The reason why they are following this fad is because the park serveys guests to see what the guests want more of. The result was water rides and roller coasters. -
New Roller Coaster Concept
Ccron10 replied to Rick_Irvin's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Pretty cool concept! I think if the inversions were made slightly bigger if would be even better. Did you take physics in to consideration because some of the brake sections especially the cobra roll look extremely jerky. Besides that it seems like a great concept and I could picture B&M or Vekoma building somethhing like this. Very futuristic by the way. -

It acutally pretty reliable in fact you have the ability to see the site now. The only problem is good luck trying to get wifi in the park if you're using and iPod touch. It should work with with a cell phone though. -

They had to remove it since it was becoming annoying for the park's neighbors. I don't think many people used it anyway. -

They do use lapbar restraints. To improve capacity they could link together a few cars and even have a multi-level station. To do this the track would need to be 90 degrees. -

I don't know, but I think the concept is cool and a lot more can be done with it. It probably could be like the Arrow suspended coaster of the 21st century if they experiment with it more. The only problem would be the forces put onto the cars with the extreme swinging. Imagine the cars like this on Big Bad Wolf or creating a layout with long drops and turns in a deeply wooded forest. It might not be possible, but it's something cool to think about. -
Hersheypark 2011 [RCT3]
Ccron10 replied to Ccron10's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Summer Is Here... It's Boardwalk Season! Well since it's Memorial Day weekend and since the real park opened its Seaquel, I thought I'd finish the Boardwalk section in my park. Everything for the midway is finished execpt for the Boardwalk sign and the path lights. The next thing on my agenda is Roller Soaker and the area in front of the Tidal Force lighthouse. Once the back of the park is finished, I plan on adding Storm Runner's station finally to the best of my abilities then turn my attention to Tudor Grill and Rhineland. Once that's done, I'll add the last of the buildings in Music Box Way, Minetown and Pioneer Frontier. I also need to finish the last two pieces of the Skyview custom scenery. At this point I am aiming for a late June release date which will feature what I have done so far (Version 0.9). Next will be the 2009 version with the seaquel (Version 0.99) and then finally Midway America and the rest of the Boardwalk (Version 1.0). What I plan on doing with the park after this will be a suprise. Now where did my bathingsuit go? Now where did the guests go? My next fashion victim in-sight. Gotta love those guest cloaking devices! Complete with the old lifeguard shack. More soon. -

I really like how they painted Falcon's supports to look like tree trunks. It makes the ride blend in more and adds to the theme. -
Hersheypark Springtime in the Park
Ccron10 replied to Jman0477's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes. Fahrenheit's trains have been done being inspected and I believe it opened the week after STITP. I don't care when they open Storm Runner, just as long as it's safe and doesn't break down often. If I go and it's not open, then no big deal. -

So the launch system adjusts itself everytime until it successfully makes it over the top hat if it valleys? That's a pretty good launch system and sounds reliable. -
(K'nex Coaster)Sandstorm
Ccron10 replied to Ccron10's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
It is Finished.... After nearly 7 months of work, Sandstorm is to blow into the Governor Mifflin Community Days almost exactly 1 month from now. Most of the work done today was just small improvments such as completing the 2 manual lift hills and making the nylon rope one continuous rope. I also fixed the station lift hill and made it easier for the train to grab onto the chain. So what's next? Well, Sandstorm is only half of the plan; the other is an exhibit showing how coasters work and about the amusement industry. It will consist of 5 display boards with photos, facts, trivia, and information. So far these are the topics for each display board: -The Making of Sandstorm -How Coasters Work -Behind the Scenes at A Theme Park -The Past, Present, and Future of the Coaster Industry - You get to decide the topic! What should the last one be? It's up to you to think of something! Post below what you want the last exhibit to be! I finally need to make a 21 by 11 foot plywood platform to keep the coaster off of the hot basketball court. Its going to be quick to make. The station lift hill. It's hard to believe that it is finished. The complete build-area. More soon. -

The Boardwalk is now open. One of the local radio stations held a sneak preview for it today. I hope to go in Mid to late June so this should be interesting. I never rode any of the Boardwalk rides. -

What was it actually? I am a big fan of CSI, so does it star the characters from the Las Vegas show or was it a completely different team? -
I don't know, but I think the Freestyle Music Park name is starting to grow on me. Even though is doesn't sound cool or detailed, it is easy to remember. As for the progress the new management has made, the cut the price down and made it almost as cheap as $10 for admission with the savings involved. FMP is also advertising more it seems with the commercial, web ads, and hopefully local ads. IMO I wonder if they can make the park a success (right now it seems very possible)? I also wonder what can happen with the future expansion plans. I do have a feeling that the former HRP owners are going to be extra weight added to the new ownership. EDIT: The Rock Garden is the only thing cheesey in my opinion.

Can some one make me a CTR
Ccron10 replied to Coasterkid101's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
It can be done I believe, but I haven't gotten that far though. I am interested in learning how to create Custom Flat Rides and Coaster Cars, but I haven't had the time. The guys over at Atari might help, but I don't know how often they make objects from requests. EDIT: As for the Carolina Cobra Car, I do think somebody at Atari and making one and is pretty far along with work on it, but I don't think a download has been posted for it yet. It might be a dead project.
