  1. Oops! Looks like someone went grave-robbing! Great job on the pictures; very artsy.
  2. It's almost clone? If I remember correctly I don't think I've saw a coaster with this same kind of layout. I think I should pay a little more attention to this coaster since I have been accepted to a college out there this could possibly be my new home park for me.
  3. Just my luck. The year before I go to Cedar Point for the first time, they remove one of the rides I really wanted to try out. Murphy strikes again.
  4. Possibly the same thing for Wildcat as well. Back in April I was going to ride that thing at night, but they had to close the ride because of the temp. dropping below 40F.
  5. Let me jump in here and say this: Speed is an issue on coaster models, but is it an important one? I don't think so. The reason why these models go faster than the ones you see in parks is mostly because of the scale of the model, the friction between the wheels and track, the weight of the trains, and the material the track is made out of. To get a coaster model at a speed and performance just like the real thing, you'd be more than likely breaking the laws of physics. Also, plastic track doesn't have the same friction as steel or wooden track. I'd have to agree with Jack on this one and could really see how getting asked the same question over and over can get annoying.
  6. I think I remember seeing that skunk there before! Last year there was a guy there with a pet skunk and he'd try to hide under the benches in front of Cesari's.
  7. At this point I'd hate to see the construction costs on this thing. I'm at the point at emailing the park and seeing what is holding them up and what they still need to complete. If anyone is going to Knoebels tomorrow, hopefully we might find out what's going on.
  8. I've been a member at TPR for over 3 years and can't believe I didn't buy some type of hoodie or shirt. Once I save up some money, maybe I might buy one and support you guys.
  9. BEST: It has to be a toss-up of going to Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane event on a Thursday night and practically being almost the only person in the park and front seat of Phantom's Revenge. WORST: Another toss-up between riding The Claw twice in a row, running from Hershey's Pioneer area to the parking lot because of the fear of my classmates leaving without me and Hersheypark in April. I was with a a few friends and a fanboy who was snapping photos at everything that moved.
  10. It looks like they are now serious I guess. Once they approve their construction plans, it seems like it might happen.
  11. I'm wondering if anything has happened with the coaster. The last time we heard anything as far as construction goes was the top coat being added to the trough 2 months ago.
  12. I've done at little thinking about the whole project and because it's my Senior year and possibly my last oppertunity to build something like this, I've decided to cancel the coaster. Don't worry! I haven't really given up, but instead, make something a little bigger... 12 feet big enough? lol It still needs a little bit of work though. I need to strengthen the base, add laterals on the tower, and straighten the lift a little. Getting a little artsy. I plan on adding the pull-out and then add a Stengel Dive possibly 8 or 9 feet. I need to add that last support and extend it down to the base (it won't be supporting the track, just the lift). More soon.
  13. That's a sweet idea! How about one with the greatest quotes of TPR as well.
  14. It's also the same thing for Wildcat. It shut down a bit early at Springtime at the Park last year at a temperature around 40 or 50 degrees I believe. They did try to get their feet into the haunted stuff back in 2004, but the park found that it wasn't a big selling point. The park does do a great job themeing the railroad. Besides the constant repetition of the Funny Farm song and the cheesey ride name, it's a good family event.
  15. Basically I underestimated how much power and how complicated it was to build a working coaster model so I cancelled it and decided to job shadow at Hersheypark instead. I might've been a epic fail of a project, but I've learned from it.
  16. Pretty bad at times. Right now I have the graphics set at either Quality or High Quality and if you are working on the outside corners of the park facing the edge of the map, it moves smoothly. I found that whenever you a some lag, just open up the options menu and it speeds it up. I've started moving on to Rhineland. More soon. More soon. The Kosher Mart/ Old Sky Ride building.
  17. Tudor Square Completion I have been working on this recreation for over 2 years and I am now at the point where it is very close to being finished. From here on, I will be going back over the areas, and finishing them. Right now the first finished section I have done is Tudor Square. All the buildings have been built including the Tudor Grill, Chocolate House, Guest Services and restrooms. All the scenery has been added as well. The next area to be done is Rhineland. More soon. Tudor Square: Completed! Several more areas to go.
  18. Looks like that's the Double Loop coaster that used to be at Fuji-Q. The catwalks gave that away too.
  19. Wow, cool concept art. Really? A Skyride? Those things haven't been installed in a park since the 80's. The whole concept seems really interesting and hopefully won't be another Hard Rock Park fiasco.
  20. Phantom's Revenge's queue is extremely long and the entrance is almost one quarter of the way across the park. Fahrenheit's could use some shade for the time being until those trees grow in.
  21. That one is on tomorrow night at 10pm I think. Both #1, 2 and 3 will be on Sunday night starting at 9pm.
  22. July 2007 Konnichi wa. For a park just outside of one of the world's biggest cities, I expect it to grow to be a big park and this fact honors me. My father handed this farm to me, but I have no interest in farming like did. My interest is business, better yet, amusement parks. That's why I want to construct Sakura Musicland. This is me. The best thing about the land is that right next to it is a bullet train station heading right into downtown tokyo just an hour away! To make the situation even better, the park's entrance is directly across from the train station! Right now the foundation is the only thing that exists so far. The park should open by May 2008. Of course, there is a music stadium and it should host many famous national and international bands. Capacity is only 1,000 people though. The park does have a coaster called Speed Coaster built by Arrow Dynamics. This was a used model picked up from another park. Got it at a great deal too! Before I left, I cought the lighting crew testing out the stadium lights. That's all for now, check back very soon for another update! Sayonara!
  23. Hmm. I think we now know the ride's name. My guess is either a water ride, GCI, shooting dark ride, or the good ole standby AQUATRAX!! How big is this island and how much land is cleared?
  24. ^Those shows are classics. Let me rephrase that. Most newspapers and networks focus on a one-side opinion and sometimes put their own opinion into the story instead of letting the reader and viewer decide their own opinion. There's nothing wrong with being a liberal or conservative, but it just feels like some news networks just try to force their opinion down their throats. Getting back on topic. This is nothing new with news stories getting updated. Some stories start out worse than they really are once more news comes in.
  25. Wait a minute. Actually that's not true. Fox News doesn't add their point-of-views in most of the time. At least Fox 11 corrected themselves where if any other company such as NBC or CNN would've reported on this, they would've just forgot about it. Most newspapers aren't really honest either since some only report one side of the story (such as the Reading Eagle) mostly on the liberal side. I could go farther into the issue, but I don't feel like it and don't need to since I don't want this to turn into a big flame war. EDIT: Believe it or not, Fox News has much better ratings than CNN and NBC so I wouldn't really criticize them for that.
