1. Not a whimp at all. You never know what the person has on them, either. Like you said, better to go home then to a police station or hospital.
2. Nicely done! At first, I thought I was reading a 14 year old's post.
3. They appear that way in the pictures, but they were actually lived in. The Tyvek is showing because they were so badly ripped apart. Timberskara...the weather was AWESOME over the 4th of July weekend. The Kalahari was packed, at least the outside waterpark. Inside, not so much, which was good, because many in our group got to try out the Flowrider with little to no wait.
4. Nice TR of a park rarely shown on here. I miss our Deja Vu! Hope they get Aftershock running soon.
5. We went up to Wisconsin Dells this past weekend to celebrate the 4th with our family. We stayed at the Kalahari Resort, with indoor and outdoor waterparks. On Sunday the 6th, we decided to take a little tour of what used to be Lake Delton, before it was wiped out last month. On June 9th, there were torrential rains that flooded the city, and ended up breaking a dam. What was Lake Delton emptied in a little over 4 hours. It destroyed houses, trees, took boats and other debris downstream. Heres a Youtube video showing what happened (NOT MY VIDEO) The Lake Delton Police don't want anyone passing the fence, but there were lots of people looking around. A Lady walking around in what used to be the lake. This is by Country Road A, which was wiped out. This tree had the land around it washed away... Debris from the houses that cracked in half, lying where the Lake used to be Here you can see the house that was cracked in half, when the ground underneath it was washed away. Someone decided it would be ok to go inside the house and graffiti over the walls. These signs are posted all over the house. With it cracked in half, it might be wise to stay out, I would think... The doorway to nowhere. This is from the house that's back half cracked off and went down the river. More of the devastation.... The bathroom floor and toilet are now sitting in the muck and mud of the old lake The house that cracked in half, from the side. The 80 year old lake, that should be busy with boaters and water skiers, now just empty. Boat dock with no water nor boats.... The police showed up and told everyone to leave the area. No gawking here please. We went to a different section, and found more empty docks. The now quiet lake, hopefully one day refilled. This lake is huge to the Dells economy. There are lots of resorts and vacation homes on the lake, and many business that rent boats are hurting this summer. It appeared to be tree stumps lining the bottom of the now missing lake. The lake was made around 80 years ago. On a happier note...the Kalarahi resort was busy, and the outdoor pool was packed. Here is the view from our room. Thanks for reading!
6. That GUY!??? Why did you leave?
7. Decided to go to the park for a few hours at night...here's what I saw. Radio station Q101 invaded Hometown Square. Lots of lines and crowds when I entered around 6 pm. New signs for First Aid/Lost & Found. No more Hometown sign. New Sign promoting the concerts. Hung out at Skull Island until Hurricane Harbor closed. Always Fun! Bull running well. Decided to see Shown Stoppin, a music show. This guy was really good. Same show as last year. Some new faces. She think's his tractors sexy Drop getting ready to Sun was setting and Bull was going down Didn't like seeing the pocket knife in this guys pocket. Security not doing its job, as those chains are too long to be in the park as well. I mentioned it to a security guard. Anyhow...its time for the first parade and preshow of the year. Can't say I'm surprised, the show has changed VERY little from previous years. Cuckoo for Coaster Buffs... very cute tee Thats is all.
8. I went to SF on Sunday the 8th...got there about 2pm, after the storms. What a great day. The sun came out, the weather got warm, and the park was DEAD. Lots of people decided to go to Hurricane Harbor, and the coasters were walk-ons. We walked on TDK 3 times in a row!
9. Definitely enjoying the TR...keep updating as you go. Very enjoyable.
10. Some kids may, but those are the little ones that are probably wouldn't go on it anyway. For the record, my girls range from 5-10 and have all been on multiple times over the past week. They really enjoy it.
11. You're missing the point. It's not a thrill ride. It's geared for the family. Yep, its a great coaster for a family with kids 6-12. Kids will love this ride, in fact, mine do. The only thing that should change is the sign that says "High Thrills" or something like that....because the GP goes in thinking its Raging Bull in a box, when its Ragin Cajun (minus the spin) in a box. On a side note, I can't stand Cajun, due to all the spinning, but really have enjoyed TDK so far.
12. If it is raining hard and lightning , all coasters will be shut down. If its a drizzle, then probably none. The Flash Pass are sold in a building next to the Grand Music Hall (near the Whizzer). Upon entering the park, head right.
13. Thanks for the reminder...I watched it yesterday. We have been looking in the Orlando area for awhile now, and I think we settled on a town right next to Ocoee, Winter Garden. There are a ton of homes for sale in that area now, but I think that is pretty much anywhere you go.
14. Don't get your hopes up on getting any good pics. The HR offices are basically outside the park in trailers in the employee parking lot. Good luck with the job. What are you going for?
15. Cool...stayed there a couple times last year. The Glacier Canyon Lodge condo size rooms in the back are a great deal. Polynesian looks much nicer than I figured. Gotta give it a try next time.
16. This past Sunday, I decided to take a little tour of the brand new waterpark resort that just opened up here in Gurnee, Illinois. Key Lime Cove is located directly across the street from Six Flags Great America. (Being that I live in Gurnee, I can't see myself staying here all that often, but with the generous Gurnee resident discount, I'm sure I'll try it out soon.) For those planing on a road trip to Six Flags Great America, be sure to check it out. I am sure I'll be there quite often, in the arcade or at the bar and restaurants. Too bad they don't offer one day waterpark passes.[/img] Chloe posing on the colorful beach chair. The kids patiently waiting for the sugar high. Downstairs, near the entrance to the waterpark is a Huge arcade (didn't get any good pictures) and this Old Time styled Ice Cream Parlor and restaurant. Cleanest bathrooms...good to know. Great detail on all the indoor buildings. The Midway features shops and restaurants, nicely themed to a Caribbean Beach atmosphere. Check in toward the left Bar/restaurant that overlooks the indoor waterpark. Very Cool! The ever popular Toilet Bowl type slide. The indoor waterpark. Its not huge. YET. They expect to expand to over 100,000 square feet of indoor waterpark eventually. The Resort from the outside. This place actually has the look of a nicely themed Disney Resort. Kinda like a Caribbean Beach.
17. I am in the minority, but I think Fairplay is interesting to watch on Survivor. I was not happy to see him bow out right away. The season should be a good watch, but with Fairplay gone, its not going to be as good. And I don't like how the fav's already have their 2 clicks already. O well, I'm sure I'll be tuning in each week still.
18. I took the kiddies to see Hannah Montana Sunday at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Overall an enjoyable show. We had side stage, purchased on Ticketmaster the day they went on sale. Here are some pics.
19. Great update...thanks for the pics!
20. Way to go Robb! This is some great motivation to get me moving. How tall are you, because you really didn't look 260+ in many of the recent pics.
21. SfGam is also missing Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Those have both been rumored to be going. Guess this makes it "official".
22. We went to Disneyland as a family back in 1985, at the age of 10. Since then, have been to WDW over 20 times, and only back to DL 5 times. Just fell in love with the WDW area, and go at least once a year with my family.
23. An update to the smoker story. Zero tolerance means zero tolerance at SFgam. Opinions? http://www.dailysouthtown.com/news/kadner/604532,101607Kadner.article
24. I agree about the Studio 13 Haunted House. There was no real ending. The Cujo dog was really dumb. The Ring TV, lame. The house was not done too well, imo. I think your talking about Chris. He is actually a member here on these forums. Chris was not the grave digger on Monday, but I think he was there Saturday.
