  1. I recall watching a coaster TV show back in the early 1990s and part of the show was about the Pipeline prototype. I remember the actual car placed in the roll element and the engineer (Dal Freeman?) sitting in the backseat having those concerns and discussing the possibility of shields. As well the fact those shields would restrict the views of riders.
  2. No progress on the turnaround or bridge.
  3. I was driving back home today from a Pre-Thanksgiving trip to the US and had to do a detour to see the progress made on this coaster.
  4. The fact that the drop will be 80+ft taller than anything else at Wonderland, no matter what angle the drop will end up being, it will be amazing.
  5. I saw this in this week's Toys R Us flyer (but found it cheaper on Amazon)... http://www.amazon.com/Magnetix-28396U-I-Coaster/dp/B000EQHK26
  6. It's all downhill from here! (insert groans)
  7. Magnum and Wonderland's Vortex do it for me.
  8. Most hyped up attraction ever? No? Most anticipated non-aquatrax coaster?
  9. Something else on the CW Forums, there is a picture of the drop and the way the support comes into the track it does in fact look like it's going to be a 74 degree drop.
  10. http://media.cfpl4.cedarfair.com/canadaswonderland/behemoth/images/online_fun/wallpaper/behemoth_hills_1600x1200.jpg The three hills leading to the midcourse brake run, three trims.
  11. 10.4.10 on a 15" Macbook Pro! I haven't looked back once, it's my second Mac and I am happy I made the switch four years ago.
  12. I may go out on a limb here, but back then, people were more mannerly and courteous. I won't say there was no disregard for throwing trash on the ground or anything like that, but it certainly was less common.
  13. Canada's Wonderland is moving to... (insert location)
  14. September can't come soon enough! Thanks for sharing these pictures.
  15. Well, you know what Sarah Silverman says about being pregnant....
  16. Well, ever since 1986 when I saw my first Z Scale I always thought it was cool. I have been an N Scaler, but recently it started to wane on me. Buying locomotives and rolling stock because they are limited editions rather than need. So last year I noticed that Micro Trains brought out the GP35 and it got great reviews (well who doesn't) from Model Railroader. So when I moved from London to Toronto I went out and bought the set. When I got it home and hooked up I was impressed with the overall detail and performance of this tiny locomotive. This year Z will see the GP7 from AZL and GP9 from Micro Trains and Micro Trains has announced that the SD40-2 will be the next locomotive after that. Personally I'm glad I switched.
  17. I took my first ride on a looping coaster there. I only got to go once, that was 1986. It was definitely an experience. You would have to wonder had it not closed, with all the new border crossing rules coming into effect, how would it of been affected.
  18. I just got a new 2006 Honda Civic EX. It drives like a dream!
  19. I have four stores to go to in the GTA alone!
  20. I had to go to work before so I voted "z" with no post. Yes, I have always been intrigued buy that tiny, tiny scale, and it seems it's just starting to gather some steam with lots of new offerings. I picked up a micro-trains Z Scale GP35 table top set and was hooked. I have no layout just yet, but I am planning for something very soon.
  21. Mine was Boblo Island's Screamer back in 1986, it was one of those rough Vekoma corkscrew models. I think it's at Playland in Vancouver now.
  22. I found this link as well... http://www.zootoyz.net/en-us/dept_71.html#item_732 The ties look slightly different than the version I had back in the 1990's.
  23. I remember going to Wonderland on Labour Day weekend back in 1987 (big mistake), and it was a sea of acid wash jeans. Ahhhh those great 1980's fashions! Thanks for sharing those pictures!
