  1. I didn't know that chicken was a fish! Technically, she would be a semi-vegetarian. A Pescetarian is someone that eats fish and seafood, and a Pollotarian is someone that eats chicken or turkey. They both fall under semi-vegetarian, and combined she would be a semi-vegetarian. In my opinion, she is not a vegetarian at all.
  2. Sure they said that the park would be open, but weather is unpredictable. Not to mention, it was just someone from guest relations. It wasn't an official, or a weatherperson for that matter. I would give them a pass here. I mean, you got a lot of stuff out of it. Just chalk it up as a loss, sell the pass, and move on with it.
  3. I'm sorry, but that was painful. I would have given you an F, but you had the balls to post this on here, so I gave you a D for TPR purposes. I think you will be lucky to get a D in your class as well. 1. You were just plain random 2. You spelled a lot of things incorrectly 3. You didn't have a focused topic 4. You didn't have a good format I could keep going. This is a big problem with colleges these days - high school students just don't know how to write, and then they go to college and have to start in bottom level English classes to catch up.
  4. Nice little report. I haven't been to the park yet this year (opening day plans fell through) but I'm hoping this weekend for sure.
  5. ^ I completely agree. I really, really like Premier and everything in terms of the ride quality, however, it seems like so many of their rides are just mechanical pieces of garbage. So many have issues, and they are just built like garbage.
  6. Go in as undecided and take some photography classes within your first year, along with some core classes to give yourself an idea of what you really want to do.
  7. Why is it unreasonable? And Larry was half teasing...
  8. So.... you are calling me crazy?
  9. I didn't mention it in my first post here, but I am still sticking with Detroit and San Antonio in the finals, even though the Lakers and Hornets are just looking so freakin' good right now. As for all of this MVP stuff..... I really like giving out individual awards. I think there should be some sort of player recognition in a team oriented game. And yes, Paul could make a very strong case for MVP, but Kobe just continues to amaze me, and it is really shocking that this is only his first MVP award. With that said, Paul will have plenty. And if the Hornets win it all, I'm pretty sure he won't really care about not getting MVP.
  10. I just think it would be interesting to have a Boston/LA finals again. I know that the same frair wouldn't be there like in the Bird/Magic days, but, the media coverage of the series would blow up and might be a good thing for the NBA considering the horrible ratings that finals have gotten over the past few years. However, I just don't see anyone beating the Spurs this year. The East is up in the air as I don't think you can stick together a few superstars and not have a decent supporting cast around them (talking about Boston, with evidence of the Lakers a few years back)
  11. The outcome was, the Saudis remembered how big of a jerk Cheney is, so they bumped up the price of a barrel to $120.
  12. Was it with your mom?
  13. The flavor is Lemon-Lime. Lemon comes before lime, thus making it yellow. I win. Great report. I enjoyed it on many levels. By the way, this is what green Powerade looks like.
  14. ^ I don't really think that the ride removals will have that great of an impact as most of the rides (other than Chiller, which wasn't running at full capacity, or at all for that matter most of the time, for the past few years) were even really that popular or had that great of capacity. Plus, the last time I was there in April for their Spring Break thing, it was ridiculous. It is just a very busy time at the park. It is probably the equivalent of a summer weekday.
  15. I rented the movie the other night. I thought it was excellent.
  16. Only a real man can admit reading Cosmopolitan from time to time. I also really enjoy Fortune, ESPN The Magazine and VegNews.
  17. ^ It is mainly a publicity thing. That is what PETA is all about. They know that it is really not possible in that time period, but they are just trying to bring attention to this issue. Also, $1 million is 1/26 of thier total revenue from 2007, so I think $1 million is a pretty good amount to put up, even if it is just a publicity stunt.
  18. I can only hope that this makes the ride much better. I have heard some very good things about them.
  19. Again, this is why I find your position strange, because, I actually agree with you in that I feel that the animals we eat are in the same category as your 1 day old kitten (NOT THE UNBORN BABY, or as you put it, fetus). How does a cow or a pig or a turkey know what is going on in the world? To me, a cow, pig, turkey, chicken are here for sustenance. That and all taste good. I place human life above animal life, call me crazy. Based on your statement, if something does not have a personality or is not aware of what is going on in the world, that creature is irrelevant? Do cows, pigs, turkeys and chickens have personalities? (scene from Pulp Fiction comes to mind) I feel that animals develop personalities as the grow older. I have been fostering kittens for a while, and I have watched them go from pretty much nothing to an actual something. I feel that a 1 day to a week old kitten should be euthanized if they are without their mother because the chance of them surviving is very slim, and why take the time to try to save it when that time can be put in to helping a full grown cat? Plus, the population of cats is so unbelievably high right now that more cats coming in to the world is just not necessary. And, I feel that cows and pigs and turkey and chickens have personalities, and although they don't know who is president, or about the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair pictures, doesn't mean they don't know what is going on around them, and it doesn't meant that they don't feel pain both physically and emotionally. ^^ And the "test tube" meat thing is being heavily promoted by PETA. They have been trying to get funding for that for many years. ^ I agree. I think it is a good thing. The animals really won't be harmed. However, it kind of falls into the tofu category for people who eat meat.
  20. ^ I totally agree with everything that Larry has said in this thread.
  21. ^ Yup. That is correct. Great pics. I can't wait for PPP this year.
  22. I'm really looking for anything that I am qualified for. I have business-to-business selling experience in the service industry with my work as the owner of a trucking and hauling company. I have retail management experience, along with some non-management selling experience. I also have management experience at a bowling alley. Not to mention, I have a lot of experience aside from all of that working in various offices and other establishments where I have gained a lot of customer service experience. I feel like I am over qualified for just simple data entry, and my need is much greater than a 8-10 dollar an hour job. I'm willing to work either in management or sales and I feel I have the qualifications to do so.
  23. ^ Relaxation. The question is - Can they incorporate airtime in a lazy river as well as on a go-cart track?
