I wonder if there are many frustrated Goths out there becoming blood collectors. It just seems like a logical thing for them to become. -
Yes. Folder or scruncher? (ok sorry, just had to bring some 'added class' into this thread )

^ Well, I am now. Yum. I'm on a no-fat diet since being discharged from hospital a few days ago so that sounds sooo appealing right now... < Is shortly off to get a blood test. Ooh fun, I love needles... not. Would rather ride The Beast non-stop for 24 hours in the jackhammer seat... v Would rather get a needle than ride The Beast non-stop for 24 hours in the jackhammer seat

As a big all-time BTTF fan, I would have to disagree. Yeah, it would have been cool to leave to the imagination what the trouble with Marty's kids were and have things left on a cliffhanger. But to say the other two movies suck ... BTTF2 was ingenious in how it connected with the first movie plus was always engaging. I agree that BTTF3 is the weakest of them with less focus on time travel and a slightly corny romantic subplot but it was enjoyable in terms of sheer fun and to see Doc hook up. That end bit with the train as the time machine was a great gag as was Doc not specifying when/where they were off to. I'm sure the common interpretation is they were going to the moon since both Doc & Clara loved Jules Verne. I think BTTF would still have been hugely popular as a standalone but think the sequels made the franchise bigger than it would have been & certainly didn't harm the first film in any way.

Kings Island Renames Rides

... yes, Daniel, I have made that connection! Thanks for pointing out the obvious. I'm not stupid: just saying that IMHO 'Giant Drop' still sounds too generic. Better than 'Drop Tower' though! That's true. Returning to the purpose of the thread, I agree with everyone if you're going to have a generic theme of flight, falling, whatever, you can still come up with a good name without having a franchise to fall back on. -

Even hold a competition to see who can come up with the best name for each... like Beech Bend did for what became Kentucky Rumbler. -

Eughh. Reminds me of Dreamworld with choosing the title for their drop tower: 'Giant Drop'. -

The Offical American Idol 2008 Discussion

Eughhh. That was horrid. It truly is car crash TV at this stage. Can't wait until the Hollywood shows when we start to see more quality. How many eps of these city auditions will there be to go through, anyone know? I'm glad my cable TV network is screening them 5 hours after you get to see them in the US. Need my Idol dose until the Australian one starts up again. -

Goddamn the whole friggin' world but you, Carlotta! -
Yes. Endlessly plays Savage Garden and not much else... "Ooh I want you, I don't know if I need you but ooh I'm dying to find out" "I'll fly you to the moon and back if you'll be, If you'll be my baby" GAHHHHH. Do you plan on ordering takeaway tonight? (Yes, I have a hankering for some Thai or Chinese or something so will do that if I don't end up going out)

I really did enjoy it. It's rare you feel like a character so much -- the first-person view is immersive without making you sick. Hopefully the sequel will keep up the standard ... will it be the tape of another ordinary person though? I think if it was made in traditional third-person it might lose a lot of the original's appeal.

Looks okay but want to see TP bring out a really innovative ride. Guess it'll be one of the credits awaiting me in 2009 though if there's another UK trip.
