^They have had a few re-locations, but none from SFMM. Joker came from SFDK Dark Knight came from SFNE Boomerang came from some other park in Mexico. I think that's it, the rest were original to the park. That deadzone of a corner at SFMM has always been a little weird. I personally thought they should have started the queue for LL:DOD down by Colossus to attract more people to the area. Or add a flat or SOMETHING down there!

Thanks, guys! Those wait time estimates, I think were posted for mid-week during spring break...they seem a bit high for SFMM in Jan/Feb. But anyway, if they do get that high, I'll just get some FP's. I'm showing a friend from out of the Country around, and we chose SFMM over KBF so I just want to correctly anticipate SFMM being...well you know, SFMM.

Philrad71 does Indiana (a soft porn)
WFChris replied to Philrad71's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Cool report and a fun read. Lots of areas of IB (and Indiana in general for that matter) that I haven't seen in other PTR's. I'd like to get out to the mid-west and try all these weird parks out, they all seem like something out of a strange white parson time warp! -
Hello, Had this news on my Facebook today from Montana Rusa, however the article doesn't translate very well. It states that a new coaster at an 'important park in the capital area' will be one of the countries largest. It also cites that they are working with the same people that brings coasters to Disney Parks. Finally, it mentions that the investment is $1,200,000 USD, which seems way low for a huge coaster. Anyway, here is the article (in Spanish and Google Translated). If any of our Spanish speaking friends would like to clarify this info, please help! Link shows some concept art: nayaritenlinea.mx/2014/01/06/anuncia-roberto-montana-rusa-y-mas-atracciones-en-remodelacion-de-la-loma/ Google Translated:

+1! And yes, your blog IS awesome. I remember reading it years ago and being really envious. -
I don't have personal knowledge, but I understand the Taz's Texas Tornado / Zonga / Whatever it's called in Mexico now had quite the neuter to the loop shapes and first drop. Thought I would add that to the list.

To be honest I think most Angelino's expect and accept $20 to park. Overnight parking in a hotel in downtown can be upwards of $50 a night, westsiders pay $10 just to valet their car for dinner. $20 is not unreasonable for all day at a theme park. That all being said Disney is still $16 (food and merch is cheaper at Disney too, but you just can't avoid the gate fee there...hence everything else costing more at SFMM!).

My *plan* is to be down there for media day. It will all come down to if I can or not at the last minute, though. I have saved up for it so I am optimistic!! -

FWIW, I did my entire Mexico thread with the Multi-Uploader and it worked like a charm. Just be sure to number your photos correctly before uploading! -
Romon World to open in China

Is it me, or are the yellow and red coasters quite similar to each other? -
ya but the disney attempt is completely embarrassing, you can't even go into their newly created "park" area and the trees they put in are surrounded by walls, all you can see is the top of the trees. Plus u can see all the old loading ramps and stuff, definitely the biggest eyesore in CA Adventure still, whenever i walk through that area i just shake my head. I never thought about it, but you're right. That area (which is now a smoking area) and the smoking area behind Mad T Party are the two weirdest parts of DCA. I always feel a little awkward in those areas. That all being said, I agree that KBF did a better job than Disney did with the former Maliboomer pad.

I went back to La Feria on that last visit mostly to ride Montana Infinitum, but sadly, it was not operating. I'm really glad they got it running for us on the TPR tour!!!!! And, I can't wait to get back to Guadalajara to ride the Bullet! That will be the first coaster that I have taken pictures with disassembled, and then later rode! -

^I mean, I guess, but Smiler seems to do a small drop and rises into an inversion; whereas Medusa does a 180, flips upside down and continues into it's drop...it doesn't gain any notable elevation going into the element like Smiler does. But I agree, Smiler seems to be the most similar that I know of! -
