  1. Yeah, looks like Dragon at Ocean PARK.
  2. I have to admit, I never thought of John Candy when riding Colossus. But maybe that's just me.
  3. An inversion machine? I think we clearly have our answer as to what is replacing Colossus at SFMM
  4. I and several friends have been nailed by the automatic restraints in the Doom Buggies on Haunted Mansion at DL. But other than that, I wouldn't say any other restraints have been problematic for me.
  5. Heard from a lot of people that many wanted to keep trying but the heat was such a huge problem and if they even got off to apply sun screen or get water they'd automatically get disquallified. Plus, most people were trying but the rules were really strict, you had to come back on time from breaks and 5 people who were just 30 seconds late got disqualified, so it wasn't for lack of "trying" You could only get up during breaks as well and they were only 15 mins, so there's more truth that what you believe. You had to be back from breaks on time?!? What kind of crazy rule is that? And no getting up when not on break? It's almost as if they are trying to make them ride continuously during an event where they signed up to continuously ride... GO CAESAR! Good job, Caesar!!!
  6. ^You can't really expect a ton of feedback, especially from parks that a ton of members have been to and have been posted from here on TPR. I posted a very long P:TR in Mexico and got way more views than comments and those parks are rare for this site! I actually use my P:TR's as a resource to show my friends and family my trips all in one place, and uploading to TPR makes it very easy to do that. But anyway, I for one have been enjoying your reports, but if you're expecting a cookie for posting them, perhaps your intents are a little off base Also, comments on P:TR's tend to thin out a bit during the "on-season." You will find that members have much more to talk about in the wintertime when they can't ride anything.
  7. ^Your logic confuses me. If they did that (and I hope they DON'T), there would be 2 lifts and 2 mid-courses, hence at least 5 blocks allowing 5 train operation. Even without 2 mids, there would be plenty of blocks to run at least 3 trains.
  8. Two that stand out: Ghostrider during the first Winter Coaster Solace...that was kind of insane...and back when Ghostrider kicked ass Goliath at SFMM on Media Day, it rained and then HAILED and we got stuck on the Mid-Course. That was pretty intense and crazy. The next time we rode it was still raining, and one of the wheels on the car I was in broke off during the helix. Mind you, this was before they stopped you on the mid-course so we were FLYING through the course. After the wheel got chucked it felt like a wooden coaster. Good times! I guess I also rode a Wacky Worm in Mexico in the rain if that counts
  9. ^Also, I have found that most EVERYTHING except for admission is actually cheaper at Disneyland than at SFMM.
  10. I think the parrots are awesome. I'm all for weirdness
  11. The "new" BTMRR at DLR is quite smooth.
  12. I know I'm in the minority, but I loved Flashback at SFMM. Such a weird, intense, adorable adventure.
  13. Although I want the RMC Colossus to be called 'David,' I think you can also call a Mega-Lite at SFMM 'David' and it would still satisfy my dream.
  14. That was indeed a tasty Roller Coaster article? The times they are a changin'!!!! Did anybody else find the Cyclone to look a lot like the SCBB Giant Dipper?
  15. I made a terrible mistake not joining you all on this trip.
  16. Montana Infinitum at La Feria de Chapultepec.
  17. ^I would probably say Pre-OTSR Revolution is our more 'Whizzer'y ride. Same manufacturer, terrain, yadda yadda yadda.
  18. Just because it's what I do here, I just want to mention that Six Flags Mexico operates efficiently, park staff is awesome, clientele is polite, and the prices are fair. I wonder how they are able to operate this well under the same banner that is the mess we deal with stateside. Perhaps the whole chain needs to take a serious look at how things are run south of the border. Or perhaps they have...and that's why they were rewarded with Medusa, possibly the best new coaster in North America in 2014.
  19. ^I don't see ANY U.S. park spending $33.5m on an old coaster. While Olympia Looping is definitely an impressive ride, it doesn't LOOK impressive, and I would assume US parks want to spend money on something far flashier than that for its price tag. Maybe Knoebels or something like that would appreciate it. But again. $33.5m. Maybe it's cheaper if you don't need the trucks?
  20. ^Run to YOLO Coaster. Pick up your flash pass. Ride whatever you choose, I would personally head back to Goliath and work my way counter clockwise. Ride X2 later in the day.
  21. I'm no industry specialist, but isn't $25 million euro ($33.5m USD) a somewhat ridiculous price tag for that coaster? If somebody were to buy it they must REALLY want it!
  22. Wait it comes with 3 hours of Apocalypse ERT? I find myself suddenly considering this now...
