I don't understand all the desire to keep one side original. We (allegedly) have a company that turns crap coasters into 'top 10' coasters coming into town and we're really gonna say 'RMC, PLEASE fix half of our coaster. We would love that.' Huh, what? Then again, we got our 'half coaster' with YOLO so anything can happen

^It's probably going to be better because everything in Mexico is indeed, better -
Sorry, the roller coaster pictured is 'Montana Rusa' which was built in the 1960's by NAD. Colossus was built by IAD (which previously purchased NAD) and it's often thought that Colossus's design was inspired by that of Montana Rusa. On the plus side, at least we will have a Colossus-ish type coaster to continue riding, probably for years to come!

I've been thinking about not renewing my AP this year simply because I just don't like who is hanging out at Disneyland these days. Whats up with the guys in biker vests? So stupid. For the first time in my life, Ill say it: The crowd at SFMM is more 'fun' than the know-it-all, midway hogging passholders at Disneyland. I guess I am saying this because I was there with a friend from out of the country, and we kept running into issues regarding entitled passholders either slowing us down, getting in our way, or just hanging out and taking up space. It took away from the possibility of accomplishing more than we actually got done. Totally turned me off to the whole park, probably for a few years. I say, eliminate the So Cal passes completely and only sell the $700 ones, but charge $1500.

^On the flip side, I DO think it's a really good park for what it is. There are many people on the forum that I think give it too much sh*t because it's 'cool to bag on sfmm.' Needless to say, I've gone more in the last year than I have in a while and I do think that the park does what it needs to do well. It's HUGE when compared to other parks and if you know anything about managing HUGE properties, they actually do it quite well.

For years I have sometimes elected to stop by Knotts Berry Farm if I'm passing by, to "shop" for 45 minutes. If you are unaware, they have a 'Shopper Pass' where you stop by Guest Services and pay the current fee to enter the park. They give you a receipt that indicates when you must return (usually 45 minutes or a little more), and as long as you return by that time, you get your money back. You are then welcome to enter the park and "shop." Anybody know of other parks around the world that have something similar to a "Shopping Pass?" Or maybe a work-around on the fast pass system? Or food and beverage tricks? I just thought it would maybe be a cool thread idea...let's see how it goes! I want to make it VERY clear that I am not encouraging breaking park rules or abusing any programs, but rather just sharing some little known park secrets you may know.

Although that was happening, I want to again mention that once the train was IN the station, the crew at Tatsu was among the most professional in the entire park. I think the issue was more the employees themselves just milling around the station, therefore forcing the operator to stall the car on the track. Often, both trains were in the station at the same time, which, again...kinda weird, Six Flags!

Something weird was happening on Saturday. Tatsu was running 2 trains / 2 stations, yet they were still stacking the train on the brake run. That being said, the crew was really 'on it' once they let the train in the station. One other thought/question: it's been YEARS since I've ridden Roaring Rapids. Took a spin and couldn't help but notice that there was only one raft on the conveyor at a time. I distinctly rember they conveyor having rafts back to back, often with a 'queue' still in the river. The line moved painfully slow. Did they recently cut capacity on the ride? And if they did, why?
