  1. ^Thank you for verifying that I'm thinking like the locals!
  2. Stay focused, Bill! Although I just want to add that the only trash in the picture is IN(/on) the trash can. I <3 Mexico
  3. That map is really amazing, and The Dragon is the cutest thing I have seen all day. Thank you, internet and TPR. Made my night! And, if anybody else is feeling nostalgic, it appears that the page that picture came from is this: Clicky!
  4. ^I do not remember that! I got to ride the SkyWay exactly ONCE in my lifetime, and at that time, for the life of me I only recall it going from Ninja to Superman's tower.
  5. Back in the day, there was also a SkyWay where Superman currently stands (station is still visible behind Superman gift kiosk and restroom area). And (besides the already discussed metro and Orient Express), there was another weird transport that went from Jetstream to Ninja's current station. If you think the station layout is weird, it's because it used to be home to a large circular platform that cycled cars up and down the hill. Unfortunately I'm not familiar at all with this ride, and if anybody has pictures, it would be great to see! The lower station for that ride is currently standing to the left of Jet Stream's entrance and Ninja's final lift hill. For a park SFMM's size, it is a little weird that it doesn't have a better park-wide transportation system. Personally, being the 'thrill capital of the world,' I would love to see a launch coaster type ride, circling the park and having 3 or 4 stations. Of course its a pipe dream, but in my head, it's a good pipe dream!
  6. I feel like the Sky Screamer should have been themed off of some of the culture we experienced in Mexico. These guys:
  7. Good start to the report! Can't wait to see the rest And btw, I am ALL FOR a little culture before the actual parks. Sets the tone!
  8. Do the cute little pre lift bumps count in the 18 moments of airtime?
  9. ^You know, you're kinda right. The last full length coaster we have gotten was Tatsu....Apocolypse, Green Lantern, and Full throttle have all been fairly underwhelming. Underwhelming in the sense of 'well that's cool, but where's the rest of it?!!?!'
  10. ^Perhaps it was overlooked, as it's a bit strange that the page is in English. All of the SFM literature on Six Flags's website is in Spanish.
  11. PLEASE stop it guys!!! Just wait literally a day and a half. I'd rather watch you all complain about the awesomeness of Green Lantern!
  12. The scariest thread on TPR returns!
  13. SFM posted to their Facebook: The picture attached to it is just a random picture of the sky and some clouds. The locals are thinkin SkyScreamer....
  14. Regarding the twisting first drop, my friend that lives in Mexico City has been to SFMM a couple of times, and he thinks Medusa is far better than anything we have up here. For what its worth.
  15. Wow, a lotta judgement going on here. Breathe a little, man!
  16. That was definitely unique...I guess I didn't realize how run down Conneaut Lake is. Looks kinda scary and weird actually...is this just the pics or is that true?
  17. ^Or the first RMC with a 'near stall' at the top of the lift and pre-placed trims throughout the course
  18. You should visit SFMM! Most inversions of any park in the world!
  19. ^LoL, I was thinking the same thing, that's probably why nobody has replied yet! The only good answer is 'yes.'
  20. He was replying to a message that asked if anybody was going to the Freight Fest announcement.
  21. ^The one I've ridden was, you know, fine. Not great, but not bad either.
  22. I just wanted to post a quick update! I went back down to Tijuana last week and stopped by Mundo Divertido. If you missed my previous, more comprehensive update from Mundo Divertido, click HERE to check it out. The park is still there and doing well, and everything was operating, including the 'people mover' that went from the park to the parking lot and through the mall. We opted for a 1 hour pass for MX$150, which allowed unlimited use of all the attractions, as well as one round on each the bumper boats and the go karts. The hour was more than enough to enjoy everything in the park, and in the last 10 minutes, we started a round of Mini-Golf, which was included. The golf course started out strong but was nothing special. We also played some of the redemption games inside, which were completely random with their payouts. With the skeeball, my friend got a better score than I but only got 2 tickets while I got 7. One game didn't dispense tickets at all. Deal or No Deal gave us too many. Regardless, it was a good time and many of the machines were only one coin, which was really nice. US$5 went a long way. Also, this time we took a taxi from the Revolucion area, and it was MX$60 going to the park, and MX$80 coming back. I kinda love Tijuana Looking at Mexico from the USA. I seem to always snap this picture on the way in, all touristy. Took a spin on the go carts. There's this wonderful bump right before a long turn that allows you to slide around it if you time it right. They give you about 10 minutes of driving time, which seems long. This terrible picture cannot be un-seen. But Indio makes everything better, and dinner was freakin awesome. Those sweaters behind me were US$11. Headed back to Revelucion for dinner before heading back to the states. It was hard to not get drunk and stay the night like I had in the past. Seriously difficult. Took a few rides on the Wild Mouse (ride op was a beautiful human being), good times
  23. I can definitely see that happening! If they do that before the announcement it's going to be a total ****storm of controversy and speculation. And on more of a personal note, I hope the ride doesn't look ugly and Popsicle Stick-y like the other RMC coasters. Popsickle Stick-y? Have you seen one in person? They are actually pretty striking, beautiful, and intimidating.
  24. ^^I think your post kinda proves my point that the size of the project shouldn't really matter when it comes to completion time. I know Medusa at SFM took less than a season to build, and while shorter than iRat and NTAG, the terrain it sits on is not the most welcoming on the planet. I also know that they had a core group of RMC employees and hired the rest of the crew locally, so once again, I think they can hire however many people they need to in order to get the project completed by its opening date. Yeah, I know SFMM blah blah blah but I'm posting this as if a reputable company is in charge of the project, so for once I don't think that an SFMM factor will play into the completion time.
