^That last picture, if he was on Limewire or something, I swear you could have gotten 2,000,000 points! Seriously though, at least it's not a ride operator, he probably had some downtime. If that is true though, it's still no excuse.... ~Mike "I gotta start getting some pictures like those whenever I go there" J

^The tree had a walk through section. It wasn't that big, but you could walk through it. I'm sure there's more than one tree out there that's like that. ~Mike -

^They did, but we focused on the roller coasters mostly, so we don't know about the bands, or events there. ~Mike -
This might hurt, but if they really cared about you, they'd accept you for who you are and not your beliefs. No matter what. A lot of my friends are strong Christians, and I'm not a Christian. They accept me for who I am. Good luck! ~Mike

Hey Jahan, when you were working, did you ever get mad at someone and hike their seat really high? My friend once said that a ride op pushed the seat up really high, and it really hurt. I'm not sure if I belive him, but he can get a little bit annoying. You did say that if you get mad at someone, you'll staple them. ~Mike

Who here works at SFMM?
GMAN962 replied to incredicoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think you should probably look in the SFMM Updates thread. Most of the employees post in there, and it's almost like the employees run the thread. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26782 Thanks! ~Mike -
Wow, I literally laughed my head off on that one. Also, what ever happened to giving him a pair of hiking shoes? I especially enjoyed when you were "fixing" up the car, it was truly the randomness we all know and enjoy from you Ryan. I only have one piece of constructive criticism. There was a little bit too much of "OHH" to me. You should have had a little bit more talking about what you did. Don't get me the wrong way, that video was great! ~Mike "My brother, friends and I really need to start making movies again" J

Nice TR, I love the tilted Storm runner photo, it seems to make the trains look more slick, and aerodynamic. Glad you had fun! One of these years I have to get there during our yearly New York trip. Next year is....I hope Cedar Point. ~Mike -
Have you ever had someone ask you...
GMAN962 replied to MisterP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's really rude. They should be asking if you want to go in front of them. I've never had that happen to me, because most people are pretty polite here in California. Either that, or they just let themselves in front of you. ~Mike "At least they had the decency to ask, right?" J -
Letter from Cedar Fair
GMAN962 replied to Milkchan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Okay, I guess after reading this whole thread *Wow, what took a while.* I guess it's time I put my opinion in. Robb is right that he should have taken more time on that letter. He also never said that all of today's generation uses "text talk" or "leet speak" Elissa is right that many times parents have to do with this problem. Now, I'm not saying that all parents have to do with this problem, most of them are great. Sometimes parents don't come down on their kids and make them get good grades, or have any punishment at all! Since they don't try in school, they obviously don't have very good grammar, etc. Sometimes kids talk like that only online. Personally, have much more trouble reading shorthand than typed out words. It takes me...I'd say almost twice the time to read shorthand. Swoosh, however, I must say is not entirely correct. Not all kids talk like that. Look at me. I don't and I'm fourteen. Look at Dallas, he's much younger than me, and he types GREAT! Yeah, kids sometimes write papers like that, but I've seen papers passed out at school that uses shorthand! They say it's a faster way to type! Sometimes adults type like that too if I'm not mistaken... DATman is right, don't judge an entire generation by it's majority, and as Robb said, not all of them type like that. ~Mike "This thread has become more of a 'battleground' than a discussion" J -

How Old Are You & What Was Your 1st Coaster?
GMAN962 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm 14, and my first coaster I remember riding was the Dragon Coaster at Rye Playland, but I don't know when that was, and I probably rode Timberline twister at Knott's before that. ~Mike -

^^, Thanks man! ^I don't think there is, it really wasn't cold. I think it might be because of either not cleaning the track, or shadows from the flash of my camera. Not sure, my camera's not the best night camera anyway... ~Mike -

Next batch: Happy New Year! I leave you with a crazy trippy double-cobra roller picture! Ohhhh... Fireworks.... My favorite shot. -
First of all, let me say Happy New Year! I went to Knott's with a youth group that my brother and I go to at a church, and they had an event at Knott's where they close the park to the public, then re-open at 7 PM, and stay open until at least 1 AM for us and other churches! We stayed there until 1:10. It was a lot of fun, anyway, here's the TR We first went to McDonald's at 5. Ate there, stayed there until 6, then left to go to Knott's. When we got to the gate, we waited in line to get in. (we had recived our tickets at McDonald's before the bus left.) Then it was to Ghostrider, I was supposed to get back, but I didn't because the line would have been way too long. I got the car before the back car. Anyway, it was not a bad ride. Then we went over to Xcelerator because the line was very long for Silver Bullet. It turns out it was broken down, so we waited outside for maybe 5 minutes. When we were let into the line, we had a very short wait, rode it twice, and decided the line got too long, so we left. Off to Montezooma's. We rode that once, then the line got a bit long, so we left. After that, Silver Bullet's line was still long, so we just decided it was going to be like that the whole day, and rode it there. Rode Bigfoot Rapids in 45 degree weather next! Nobody wanted to ride so we went twice in a row, the first time it didn't get us very wet......the second time did. That was cold! So to dry off, we decided to go on Ghostrider, line was kind of long, but the shared body heat from like everyone in that station together kept us warm-ish. It was freezing on the ride though. As midnight approached, we went over to Xcelerator, the line wasn't that bad. They launched the train probably about ten seconds before midnight, I yell happy New Years and these girls behind us say "It's New Years?!?" I regret saying yes......for ten minutes straight while the fireworks were going off, they were yelling "YEEEEEEEEEAH YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! RIOT!!! YEAH!!!!!!" Everyone was getting really mad, and eventually I lost it and yelled "YOU HAVEN'T LOST YOUR VOICE YET!?!" They said she'd feel it tomorrow......I didn't want to wait that long. So we rode Xcelerator as the first coaster of 2007. Still a great ride! Except while sitting on the brakes I heard those girls (on the back of our train ) yelling AGAIN!!!! Next it was Silver Bullet, our last ride of the day. The line was much shorter, so we were able to get back to the meeting place before 1:10. Anyway, it was a good, but exhausting day. Hope all of you enjoyed your New Year's day! ~Mike I took a picture of this for future reference, We didn't really use it though.. Ghostrider: Dishing out the pain! Did you ever notice that the sign may supposed to look like a barrel of a gun because the bullet is in between the words? Here we are in the station, operations weren't great, but not bad. They didn't let me bring MY pick axe on the ride...... ZOOOOOOOOM on the track! This is a nice shot, IMO. The best ride in the park, and one of the best rides I've been on! I just think it's a bit short.... Roller Coaster! I really think this ride is underrated, but it's not the best ride in the world. Here's Ghostrider's line......it has a *scary* tunnel!!!! =O This was when we were just walking in anyway, the line was really in the station. And here's the tree...that's pretty much all there is to it..... So here we are at the gates, in line to get in.....Cobra roll= ^_^ Here's what we call the "Fry Train" at McDonald's, where a fry is stuck under the train! So here we are at Knott's! At least....outside....

What Are Your "Coaster Goals" For 2007?
GMAN962 replied to jappi's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
TO finally get my X credit! Then again, that's up to SFMM whether I get the credit or not.....anyway, I also want to get to Cedar Point......doubtful of that. ~Mike -
Hey Robb, I don't know if you deleted us before this, but we tried sending you a message on the 27th, but it wouldn't let us...did you delete us? ~Mike
-
Yeah, when we went on the 27th, we were riding Psyclone, and we saw all of those circular things that to me almost looked like footers. My friend thought there was a ride going in there. I think it's a bit too soon after Tatsu, but if it's a new ride, I'm no complaining. Could it also be possible that Six Flags is cleaning up in preparation for a possible new owner? They could be transferring it over to a different park, so they can keep them, and if a new owner comes in, make it easier. I don't know, just a throwing that out there. ~Mike

Magic Mountain Weather
GMAN962 replied to soccerbballer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, it wasn't the busiest of days, but it had some wait, mostly for scream and Riddler's, they had pretty bad operations, Tatsu's line wasn't bad at like 11 am. If it's like today, you shouldn't have many problems... ~Mike -
I just got a 360 Pro for Christmas. Can you use any wireless adapter? Or do I need to get the over priced Microsoft branded one? I've got a USB adapter for my PC, which I can move easily from unit to unit if it'll work. I am impressed with the amount of heat this thing produces. As far as I know, you're gonna need a Microsoft one....sorry, I know how it's expensive, and I don't blame you for trying to use a different one. You could always try eBay! Congrats on the 360! ~Mike

Magic Mountain Weather
GMAN962 replied to soccerbballer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It was pretty dang windy today, and all the rides were open today except X (surprised?), Flackback (OMG), Freefall, and Ninja as far as I know. But obviously Colossus and superman were only running one side. IMO, Goliath is the best ride ever if you ride it in the wind at night, and in the back seat. Expect slow operations though. Have fun! ~Mike -
