Can't agree more with you. They can't even say the bathrooms look new because they did that last year also. They did introduce the new scare zone this year, over by the auditorium, I guess there better be something big for 2009, or they might be in trouble. According to Screamscape when Renegade was announced, they mentioned that Cedar Fair likes to go down the line with their parks and that WOF may be in line for a GCI in '09. I don't know how much stock you can put into it, but they need something big.

BAD Hotels/Motels near parks
bigstevet07 replied to piers's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Motel 6 right by I-Drive. We planned our honeymoon to be a 7 day land-sea package at WDW. Well all the flights that got in the day it started got to Orlando around 1. So, we wanted to maximize our trip and have a full first day. We decide to fly in the night before and shuttle to the airport for the magical express. BIG mistake. We get there around 9, its humid as hell outside. The Motel 6 itself acutally isn't that bad other than being outdated decor and such. We get to our room, and the air doesn't work so its like 90 in the room. We call the desk and instead of moving us, they bring someone up to fix it. Apparently it was the 6th unit to go down that night. It took over an hour before they realized they can't fix it that night, and moved us to a new room. Then the rest of the trip we stayed at the Dolphin. Great place. -
Pointless new attractions

The Underground at Adventureland was a waste. Its part dark ride, part wannabee coaster, and overall crappy and boring. -
Geez, we have to see the same 10 people in this picture. I thought it was all about Brian!!

What is the best concert you have ever been to?
bigstevet07 replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
I've been to quite a few concerts, but the best has to be George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic in September of 2000. It was at a small venue here in Omaha (Sokol Hall). I was front row/ center. The place was one giant party as the band jammed for 4 hours. Prince May of 2003, he played all the old stuff and some stuff from the CD the Rainbow Children which was coming out the next month. Just awesome. Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters April 2000, Foo Fighters came out first, but owned the show. Dave Grohl is the man. -

"Pooh moaned in ecstacy when Piglet yanked on his . . ." Wait a minute! That's not from Milne's story! Best Caption Ever. Hands down. I bow at the feet of the king of captions. I love reading your TR's. I know I am going to have a good laugh. -

Ah a Dutch Wonderland pic. That brings back many young memories. I haven't been there since i was like 10 or so. Is it weird that I've been to Dutch Wonderland, Seasame Place, but never Hershey? That will have to change as my uncle lives 5 minutes from there now. That smores pic made me freaking hungry. Great TR! -
Mamba at WOF, Ninja's lift chain at SFSTL, and the caves on the Demon SFGA. I heard that the Superman Power of Tower at Kentucky Kingdom has some serious footchoppers.

LOL Cameltoe the ride. That should be at a Cedar Fair park though. I can see the ride rating now. Cameltoe the ride is a level 3, but it could be a 5 if ridden correctly. -
Geauga Lake Discussion Thread

My guess would be WOF. They already have one rough as hell crappy woodie in Timberwolf. Personally I think they should have a giant public bonfire of Villian and a little BBQ the last day the ride side is open. -
I knew we couldn't make it 2 pages about a new coaster without a complaint. I know that it doesn't look all that impressive from an enthusiast standpoint, probably no forces, no unique elements, etc... But, this is a brand new park and they want to start off big. They are going to make their first coaster one that the GP will love. I am sure the GP is liking this just by the way it looks. Even though there is a ton of us fellow enthusiasts out there, there is way more GP. Is the other coaster across the lake an inverted?

You missed out on the treetops tumbler? That is one of the best flats I've ever been on. This was an awesome TR though. I had to follow the whole way through. Nice Job! -

^ That's because back then it had only one hill and the turn after the hill was pure pain. I remember getting stuck on the lift to get back into the mountain after that hill almost everytime I went on it. Although it was cheesy, I thought it was unique. I haven't ridden the new version, but that looks really unique. Of course, its been ages since I've been to IB. If I remember correctly, the falling star was the new attraction the last time I was there.
