^Let me tell you how to handle this situation: Find a doctor to say you're ADD. It's not hard to do these days. Then you can probably get extra time on your college exams. I'm not kidding. Do this!

^Probably got laid off with the others. -
Mancuso looks great on TV, on both the slopes and the podium. Lindsey Vonn looks hot in the photos, but looks less good on TV. Admittedly, she's injured and probably not looking her best.
-
^Here are decent shots of all three: Gretchen Bleiler Julia Mancuso Lindsey Vonn I'm still voting for Mancuso.
-
Mancuso is undoubtedly better looking, but Lindsey Vonn is the better skier. At least in downhill. Lysacek just "wanted it" more and skated a better routine. Plushenko's attitude seems to be some kind of character he's playing. I think the main arrogant thing he did was to only train for 6 months. That's not a lot of time.

Maybe you should *chill* and watch some porn or something.

^I heard Shaun White just signed a celebrity endorsement deal with Chick-Fil-A. Maybe you should *chill* and watch some porn or something.

Despite lame curling being on, yesterday was a nice day to watch the winter games: -Shani Davis looked great. -Apolo Ohno is fun to watch. -I can't imagine the pain Lindsey Vonn was in when landing after that huge jump at the end of the downhill course. -The only person Shaun White competes with is himself. Suck it, Canada.

^I think this is very good. I just have two additional things: 1) Make sure you set up security on your wireless router. It should be easy, but it might involve an extra step or two. You don't want the kid next door connecting to your wireless access point and trying to hack. 2) Unless you have a very fast Internet connection, like Verizon FiOS, the speed of your wireless router matters little for using the Internet. Your speed will be limited by the Internet connection itself, which is likely to be much slower than 802.11g's top speed of 54M.

Ghost Town In The Sky Discussion Thread

Bummer. I've got family in Asheville and really wanted to go visit this place, but have been holding out until I'm confident that the coaster is working. Did they ever get it working again last year after it got closed due to the problem with the train? In retrospect, it seems like a bad idea to have opened this place without the coaster. To me, that was the draw: Riding a coaster on top of a mountain. -
Does anyone else think that Russian figure skater is hilarious and needs his own reality TV show? "I have many enemies. I buy fast car."

I voted yes, just because I think they might find one more party interested in getting a theme park for pennies on the dollar. -
Mad? No, it's funny to hear the guy behind you in line talking about the "500 foot coaster in Japan" or how the water dummies got decapitated when they were testing Maverick.

I've been planning on doing a North East trip: Quassy, Canobie, La Ronde, Great Escape, and Seabreeze. All new parks to me. I guess it can wait until next year now. -
I didn't know curling had fanboys. Much of the fun of watching the Olympics is making fun of some of the more bizarre sports.

When you're talking 11,000 people, it's not really a rave so much as a 100% legal concert with permits, security, insurance, fire marshal inspection, etc. They're using "rave" as a marketing term, but I imagine this event bore little similarity to the illegal warehouse events of yore. Frankly, there is a LOT of money to be made. The flyer says that presale ticket prices ranged from $30 to $55. I'm sure it was more at the door. This would bring bad PR, but I imagine the temptation to make big, quick cash is immense when you have an otherwise idle property.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the moguls as well. Hannah Kearney looked amazing on her two runs. Kind of mind blowing how perfectly she was landing after the aerials.

Glad to hear everyone is safe. It's also reassuring to know that there are still some decent humans in SoCal, like the window-banging lady. -
The Olympics have already brought riots to Vancouver. Excuse me, sir. Do you know where I can find some of that delicious milk in a bag? I sure hope Timmy's is open late tonight after they bail me out, eh. I wish I could find better photos. Anyway, a group of idiots smashed random private property downtown that had little to do with the Olympics.

I loved the ski jump. The Swiss dude went about 354 feet through the air. And that's the "short" jump. Coaster enthusiasts debate over what's real airtime. That is the *real* airtime. And the top guys are so graceful. Yeah, I don't think it would be a great thing to watch much more than every 4 years though. Canada still has no golds. I would post Nelson again, but they'll probably get one soon.

I wonder if the POP wristbands will also have bar codes now. If they want, this could allow them to limit the number of times you ride a given attraction. The wristbands at Bakken were limited to 10 cycles per attraction. No big deal, just something to think about.
