  1. I'm amazed they have any Intamin coaster so far south in Italy. Most of the industry and money in Italy are up north.
  2. It's a good thing nobody will mind a 650-foot wall built near them. If this was being proposed here, I'd go to every city council meeting and beg to have that wall built near my house.
  3. I think it's the minerals that puts many Americanos off, not so much the carbonation. Not all mineral water is carbonated. The still mineral water seems to put certain people off as much as the carbonated mineral water.
  4. GCI doesn't go the mega woodie route. I'm no mechanical engineer, but I imagine the reduced height/speed means less wear and tear on the track and structure. Those old coasters that run great like Jack Rabbit and Phoenix are also not all that tall. I'm sure there are many other factors, but I don't think it's a coincidence that basically all of the super tall woodies turn to shit over time. Except the Intamin woodies of course.
  5. They bought a spinning mouse and are pissed at the manufacturer about its capacity? If true, the management of DLP is inept. That's like getting mad at Mazda because you can't shuttle your 5 kids around in your Miata (MX-5).
  6. Yep. I tried to mitigate this by raising both arms when I voted to stay, but to no avail.
  7. Right now it's Rome. I love the irregular street plan consisting of narrow, dark alleys punctuated by grand piazzas with fountains and obelisks pilfered from Egypt. I love being able to experience firsthand many of the places/sights I learned about throughout school. Rome has great food, ice cream, and coffee. And it has just the right amount of Italian chaos without being insufferable like Naples.
  8. Numerous??? This thread is like the Twilight Zone or something.
  9. Look at it this way: You got off cheaply. Losing an admission to a haunt is a LOT cheaper than hiring a good criminal defense attorney. And, really, management should have called the police considering there were a reports of serious crimes. It's not their job to figure that stuff out. The courts are supposed to do that. So, they did you a favor by not involving the law.
  10. Pretty much. HHN attracts some real drunken idiots. In one maze this year, a woman behind me kept falling over and grabbing onto me to break her fall. It happened like 20 times. I was ready to brain her.
  11. Gardaland must have a great marketing department.
  12. Yeah, I had a great time at Disneyland when it was dead, but it sucked when it was crowded. The place is too small for the crowds it gets. Line cutting was rampant and the staff was indifferent to this. LA locals just seem to be some of the world's worst humans.
  13. I rode the Fabbri at Botton's and had a really painful ride on it. It spun far more than any other spinning coaster I've been on, but not in a good way. I bashed my knee into the safety bar so hard I thought I was going to puke. The overall feel of the ride was ghetto and poorly controlled.
  14. Even if he is a decent guy, that doesn't mean his show doesn't suck.
  15. Honestly, they need to. WWoHP is too small considering the crowds they're getting. The claustrophobia made me want to leave immediately. 30+ minute wait just to get into a store or get Butter "beer". Having to push your way through the horrible crowds everywhere, even while just walking off a ride. Ugh.
  16. The things men do to get laid [...]
  17. Why would Ted Nugent want the animals to be the hunters?
  18. Isn't "kuka" the word Snooki uses to describe her vagina?
  19. Maybe Ted Nugent is running the park now.
  20. The atmosphere of some places in Europe totally changes during the day when the cruise ship and big bus sightseeing tour people flood in. In these cases, staying the night in the town and getting to enjoy the place late at night or early in the morning when it's not crowded with tourists is very nice. But, then again, some places in Europe, like Scandinavia and the Greek Islands, seem tailor made for cruising.
  21. I don't mind 3-D done well. But, I agree that "Attack of the Clones" coming back to movie theaters is a bad, bad thing.
  22. "Massive" boycott, eh? Lame.
  23. Yeah, that wasn't what most of the criticism was about. Thank you. Drive through.
