Why Do Some Coasters Get Trashed?
Jumboshrmp replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was comparing it to the Dania Beach Hurricane and all of the B&Ms I have been on Yes, I agree that there are many aspects of coasters that some people like and others dont. Heres what i like, and what i dont like. Likes (In order): Airtime, Inversions, ,Smoothness, Speed. Dislikes (Also in order) Roughness, twister woodies (generally rougher and less airtime then out n backs), inversions with lateral G's. I enjoy feeling out of control, and I like flying up out of my seat, but I dont like bumping around in it. (The dania Beach Hurricane has no headrest, and one time I somehow tilted my head back, and I couldn't pull it back up for a few seconds! It freaked me out. Also, one time I had my hands up, and the Gforce at the bottom of the first drop made me bump my elbow on the side of the train. That hurt like hell!) -
Underrated (steel) Manufacturers
Jumboshrmp replied to eskater132's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, all of the coasters on my top ten list are either B&M, or at Disney Parks. RnR coaster is a vekoma, but I never said I like them. Premier is really good, but I'd have to say Mapo (built Space Mountain and Big Thunder at WDW). Just because I like Space Mountain So much. But, since WED isn't really a coaster dmanufacturer, I cant put that. So, premier it is, the mummy was great. -
does anyone know how much it would cost for me to get a cable to see my laptop on my TV? My screen is cracked and I want to be able to see the whole screen

I like the "Here we go on the spinning ride where were goin down the drop kinda backwards" song "What do you see?" "Boobs" I have no idea what that guy in the Europa Park video is actually saying, but I love how it sounds like "C**T!! OHHH C**T!!" Definitely my favorite part of the video. Also "NINETY DEGREES!" "YAY!!!! I HAVE WON STEEPLECHASE!!!.....OH that just hurt my you-know-what! OH! That just hurt them again!"

Why Do Some Coasters Get Trashed?
Jumboshrmp replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I prefer vekoma roughness to wood roughness, though my favorite types of rides are the smooth forceless ones. I honestly think woodies are kinda ugly. I like feeling insecure at heights, it makes it more exciting. Plus, i love inversions. So steel for me, no question. I never said that wooden coasters aren't fun, but Gwazi isn't. I don't like the twisters though. Out and backs sometimes, but only if it doesnt hurt to ride. -

Build my own backyard coaster. Or maybe I would buy out Universal and sell it to Disney. -
www.rememberlibertyland.com Sure, maybe you don't own the domain, but you can pretend that you do.

I would actually have to say I had no problems with Python. People said it was going to be rough, and it wasn't nearly as bad as everyone told me. But nobody warned me about Gwazi. I honestly have to say, that if Gwazi was my first woodie, I would probably have no incentive to ever ride a woodie again. I've recently started to wonder what the point is with woodies anyway. And yes, Gwazi is my least afvorite ride of all time, and the only ride that I could ever honestly declare hatred for. Not too many rides that I think are underrated, except space mountain (the WDW one), which never seems to get old. -
How many times the same ride in a day ?
Jumboshrmp replied to mingsai's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know where the door is, and since its often unlocked, i check it, and if the line hasnt gotten past that point, I just use the re-ride door. My highest all time record for a coaster is 36 rides on space mountain in my entire life. The most in one day was 18 on the Incredible Hulk, the line was short, front row was 5 minute wait, the other rows were walk on, but I still had to walk around the line. The only time they ever let me stay in the same seat on a coaster was kraken, my first and second rides, I just moved back one row. -
I actually thought that this was a seriosu thread when i saw it. I must be losing my mind. This is Theme Park Review. And its the Random Section. Since when has there actually been a serious post here?

They are the same ride, but mirror images. One has 10 extra feet of straight track at the end, so they aren't exact clones though. -
I agree, it was pretty good. However, i don't have the patience for novels that start out slow. There should be something in the beginning to catch the reader's attention, and then the detail and setting up of the story can take place.

Dania Beach Hurricane at Boomers. To this day it is still my favorite wooden coaster. If Gwazi was my first wooden coaster, I probably would never have ridden a wooden coaster again. Wow, I love the title of this thread.

I didnt say that all classics suck. But I still think Huck Finn is one of the worst books I have ever experienced.

1) Yes. Dueling Dragons counts as two, Space mountain (in WDW) counts as two, racing coasters count as 2, and so on. 2)No. Tose are flat rides, not coasters. 3) It depends. This is the gray area. Each case is different. If you wanted to be really technical, then some people may consider all launch coasters not to be actual roller coasters. However, that is a bit extreme. In my opinion, unless a significant portion of the ride relies on gravity, it is not a coaster. -
Wow... Okay, so I just got to page 66 of the book. I have no idea why the author bothered putting the first 65 pages in here, but it just started getting good.I mean REALLY good. I'm getting off the computer to go read now.
