These are some awesome sunset pictures. When I zoomed in it looks like the camelback hump leading into the final drop into the tunnel is set up. I can't wait until we can get more pictures from inside the park. The pictures that were taken and posted by the park from the Gully Washer platform offer some great vantage points from the bottom of the quarry.

Oh yeh....."Backlot Stunt Coaster" was a downgrade from its initial name. -
Worst Ride Name

I agree on the Goliath name at SFFT. They could have easily have gone with El Toro and it would have been fine and it would have fit the theming for Los Festivales......but Nooooooooooo, they went with the stupidest choice that didn't even make sense. -
Pretty much #7 on the diagram is left which is the camelback airtime hill dropping into the tunnel including the track in the tunnel. That should be all that's left for the track installation, then they have to install the 2nd layer of steel on the top part of the track throughout the entire coaster.

^^ All they probably could have done with that area which would have kinda been cool would have been to do a banked curve against the station right before going back over RRE and then into the break run. Either way....just by looking that these pics, that drop after the 2nd overbanked curve is gonna be awesome diving off the cliffside heading down to the bottom of the quarry before shooting straight up towards the barrel roll.

Holy mother of crack!!! I just started reading this thread and all I have to say is the Klassy Kruise TR was the first thing to convince me never to go on a Carnival Cruise......and these past 10 pages or so just sealed the deal. It's like a floating Superdome cruise ship since the conditions are very Hurricane Katrina like. Good lord I'd probably die if I were on that thing.

Your First Schwarzkopf Coaster?
ArizonaGuy replied to SingleRiderCam's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My first Schwarzkopf coaster was Viper at Six Flags Astroworld followed by Greezed Lightning right after. -
Reprofiled Coasters
ArizonaGuy replied to coastercrazy216's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The original Rattler at SFFT. First drop lowered from the top, raised from the bottom and then modified over the years as well. Fan curve after the first drop lowered and smoothed out several times as well. -
Your first Arrow Dynamics coaster
ArizonaGuy replied to stashua123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My very first Arrow coaster was Mini Mine Train followed by Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags over Texas in 1982. Then XLR8 at Astroworld in 1984 as far as BIG kid coasters. -
Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread

It's going to be interesting how this ride is going to look based on where it's being placed. Despite a lot of other people think here.....it's going to be a nice addition to the park. -

I think The Boss' layout is pretty sweet. Yes it's gotten rough over the years but that can all be fixed by Topper Track. I would rather see them do Topper Track and keep the same layout than to do the Iron Horse treatment and change a lot of the layout. Either way a Boss makeover would be pretty damn awesome. -
Damn that first drop is just freakin amazing. Today I got an update email from Six Flags......... I think this publication is a tad bit behind cause it says that iRat is only about 35% complete but it seems to be a lot further along than that. It also says completion will be late Spring. Hmmm....I'd say at the rate they're going maybe an opening in Mid April??? or Anyone think they my hold out to "late Spring" and do Memorial Day weekend???

^^ Funny that SFFT hasn't been following that "sort of" Six Flags corporate policy since Goliath opened 04/18/2008 and Pandemonium opened 03/10/2007. I understand that Sky Screamer opened Memorial Day weekend 2012 at SFFT but the other two attractions were a lot bigger. And SFoT opened NTAG in April didn't they??? I'm sure there are a lot of factors why many of Six Flags attractions open Memorial Day weekend, however I don't think a "sort of" Six Flags policy is one of them. Just saying.... -
^^ I agree. I like the idea of the theming that they're adding to the ride as well as the new entrance portal for Iron Rattler. I also like the fact that they are calling the new sling shot ride "GunSlinger" and the Wagon Wheel area is not going to be sitting empty. I like the fact that they are keeping up with the theming for Crackaxle Canyon.
