LOL, my bad. I guess there's that good idea down the drain. -

^^ So is Batman the Backwards going to be at SFGAm or SFGAdv??? I'm a little confused here. -
Why Does Everybody Hate on Six Flags?
ArizonaGuy replied to eltororider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ Exactly. All that had to be done to that parking lot Scream sits on at SFMM is to throw a bunch of landscape rock under it just like SFFT did under the 2nd half of Goliath at SFFT. Six Flags has been getting better but they still have a ways to go. They still need to work on cleaner bathrooms, clean up some of the landscaping that they've let go around some of the queue areas and rides. From what I've seen after the bankruptcy, Six Flags has been getting better over the years. Hopefully they continue the upward trend. -

^^ I hear ya. I grew up in Houston and Then lived in San Antonio and now I live in Phoenix. So I have experienced 100° with 90% humidity in Houston to 110°and dry in Phoenix. I spent my summers at Astroworld and WaterWorld and then college years working at SFFT. In any case, Sfstl has a water park for when it gets really hot out. -

^^ Extreme heat??? Really?? If anything doesn't the extreme heat only happen a few times a year?? And what is actually considered extreme heat for St Louis? I'm sure they wouldn't even consider it simply because it defeats the purpose of the water park. -
Might be a bad idea, you'd probably crash and die if you rode it right now. Ya know, cause it's not finished. I love how when I look at the ride pre-track I'm thinking "oh, they need to add some more supports to that section before track goes in" and then they just give me the finger and slap some rails right to the side of what's there. Look crazy. How did I know someone was going to say that. Smartass. Lmao. Like you, I was just waiting for someone to make that stupid remark. I knew it was only a matter of time. Geez I can't wait to see this thing finished!

^^ I totally agree. BTR at SFStL totally needs a paint job BAD!!! As far as all the SF parks I've been to, it seemed to be the one that has been let go the most. They totally need to clean up the BTR area. Painting and cleaning out all the over grown weeds in the area would be a major improvement. -
Although it's ending up a shorter coaster, this is gonna be one kick A$$ ride. I can't wait to see more pics of the first drop being finished. Hopefully we will see more later on this week. All I know is that I don't want to be in the back of that train when I first ride. Lol I like the look of iRat and RRE in this picture as well. Probably one of the better angles we've seen of RoadRunner Express as well as iRat. Hopefully we'll see a completed first drop by weeks end.

Went on 12/23, got a ride on Goliath, Boomerang, RoadRunner Express, Poltergeist, and Pandemonium......and everything was running smoothly and the park (the parts that were open) was fairly crowded. Too bad you had a bad experience.....and I've been to Cedar Point several times and they've had their own issues with down rides so stop acting like it's the perfect park. There was a small family coaster that was supposed to go in where Frisbee currently sits(Joker's Revenge was still in the park at that time). and it was supposed to be called Boardwalk Canyon Blaster or something like that. It never got built and then got shipped off to another park to be used as a new attraction. As far as the "log flume" you're referring to is actually a Shoot the Chutes ride called Power Surge and from what I understand its removal has been tossed around by park management but nothing has come of it.

So according to RCDB, old length of the Rattler was 5080 ft of track and new Iron Horse track length is 3266 ft. Not bad considering it's going to be 3266 ft of awesomeness compared to the old version of about 2000 ft of awesomeness and 3080 ft of boredom. I can't wait to ride this beast just for the first drop and banked turns. Too bad no station fly by but oh well.....this is going to be a massive improvement. Here's to hoping for a smaller woodie like Apocalypse for the park sometime soon.

SFFT didn't open Sky Screamer until Memorial Day weekend I believe so I wouldn't hold my breath for March or April. Hopefully it'll be up and running sooner than that but there are other larger projects that require more attention first. Ehhhh...can't really say that considering none of us really know what Six Flags construction schedules are for all their projects. For all we know, they could be shooting for a Memorial Day weekend opening of TSS so if that be the case, they're probably right on schedule. It may "seem" that way but that could be what they're going for.

Are We A Dying Breed?
ArizonaGuy replied to nhman93's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wouldn't say we're a dying breed......we're still here. The number of sites I would say has decreased, but sites like TPR have increased tenfold in traffic and content. I pretty much don't go to any other sites anymore for coaster content because I know pretty much if it's not on TPR, then it probably won't exist anywhere else.
