Nice! Thanks for the update. I will agree....the track does look like a brighter orange than what I thought it would be but hey.....I'm just happy that this make over is taking place. I can't wait to see work started on the first drop. Anyone have anymore information or updates from inside the park? Any thing else going on close to the station that they could see from RoadRunner Express??? It was pointed out earlier that the area around Wagon Wheel was fenced off......but hasn't that been for the entire season or is that new???

Any reports from inside the park? I recall someone a few weeks ago saying parts leading to the transfer track had also been removed. Anyone ride RRExpress to confirm anything going on around the station area???

I'd say the queue is fine with the exception of the switchbacks in the station. It would be nice if they could split it up like Riddler's Revenge where the queue splits up for the front half and the back half of the train. Any updates this week on construction???

^^ Thanks for the photo update Ben. I'm still wondering why they haven't gonna rid of that one part of the helix closest to the cliff edge. Any thoughts, anyone? Unless that's the left side of the helix if looking at it from inside the park. Kinda hard to tell from the pics.

^^ Thanks for the photo updates!! Good Riddance to the triple helix. Hopefully once the rain is over with they can start moving in fast forward and start dismantling more of the coaster.

^^ Cool deal. I should try to go to the next Gay Days in Anaheim since it's only a 5.5 hour drive from Phoenix. Rides, drinking, and man scouting sounds like a great weekend to me. I'm going to have to look at the dates.

Hehe true true. I've never done Gay Days at Disney before. I guess I'm going to have to put that on my "to do" list, along with going on a TPR trip.

Eh....I think it's gonna keep the same layout after the tunnel. I guess we'll just have to wait to see what happends.

^^Not necessarily. They can always close down that section of the park for Holiday in the Park. In anycase....I agree Flashback will be coming down fairly quickly to make its way up north for SFStL. They also need to allow for refurb time as well.

First drop went from the original 166ft down to 124ft by 1996.

^^Texas Giant opened in 1990 just 2 years before the Rattler and Texas Giant has been considered a classic by many so for the difference in 2 years I really don't see your point.

The Boss has a pretty good layout so my prediction is gonna be The Boss gets a complete topper track makeover for 2014. At least that's what I'm hoping for. Anyone know if RMC has an exclusive contract with Six Flags for so many number of coaster makeovers??

^^ I'm from Houston and San Antonio and can say I never encountered anything bad going out to any of the gay bars there or Dallas or Austin. Maybe I was just fortunate. Anyways back to iron rattler. I'm curious to see how fast things start coming together. I'm sure they're gonna start moving quick especially now with weekend only ops.

Well they technically didn't show the final brake run in the POV either so it's just speculation that the final helix is not there. It could still be there next season, then again it may not be. As was discussed before it's just artist concept so it may not look EXACTLY as it does in the POV. We're just gonna have to see.

By looking at the video nothing is really clear so to me it's really hard to say which way it's going to go. Yes it's easy to mentally connect it based on what you see...but we also can't see the full structure in around the station section. So it can go either way. If they've already got structure and track there and it just needs to be retracked, I don't see them taking away the single helix with the fly by on the way into the station.

^^That's why I was thinking it would probably be the same ending or maybe just spiced up just a bit. I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see. I'm also assuming they're going to continue with 2 train operation instead of going back to 3 trains???

^^ Yup I agree. I keep seeing different things at different angles. I'm so freakin excited that this is actually happening but at the same time I'm afraid they're going to mess it up some how.
