  1. To be honest, it's been 2 months since we were there, and I don't really remember all details of the maze. Have you ever been in the previous maze at that place ? I do remember that this year the chainsaw guy held a 'real' chainsaw. So the noise was the chainsaw, while in the previous maze it was only chainsaw noise through loudspeakers. I remember this because I've always thought it was fairly ridiculous in the previous maze. The awesome smoke room right before the end is also still there.
  2. Kings of Leon, 11 days ago.
  3. Final part of our Germany trip : Horror Fest @ MPG. This is for sure one of the top Halloween themeparks events in Europe. The vide is so awesome when all the scare actors enter the park at 6 pm sharp. Sorry for the late posting. This is almost a Xmas halloween report. Enjoy all the Horror Fest scare actors Halloween decoration First maze of the day : Paranormal Activity 2 Crowds were very light the day of our visit. Still, there were considerable waiting times for the mazes. I wonder how they manage to get the large crowds on Saturdays through the mazes. 6 pm Numurous scare actors enter the park. The cloud factory did a great job. Chainsaw guys are the best. Kinky 'Mainen generation' Am I dreaming ? On the left, I don't know what. On the right, my favorite scare actor ever. Chinese horror Dammit, even with all the horror make up, this girl looked SOOOOO beautiful. She couldn't get enough of us, we couldn't get enough of her. Next mave / Deathpital Great views from the waiting row. Oh, and there was a bar in the waiting row. I only wish there would be music and dancers like at Club Roxy (WW) in the waiting area. No, the view of an SLC is not the same as the vibe at Club Roxy. At the rime we entered the maze, it was dark already. Somebody needs help. the Grudge Do you wanna play a game ? Saw time Wrong Club Roxy Next maze Ba Boo Twister Club Thanks EB, Hans, Bart & Michael for the amazing 4 days.
  4. Loved the reports EB. Hopefully you'll be on next year's trip too.
  5. Awesome EB. Love the tetris comparison. And you can indeed loose your batteries on the spinning raftride

  7. Robb & Elissa will be in tonight's television special. (from facebook) Sorry, it's just a wild guess so it doesn't count. I actually thought there are shorter and direct flight from Lax to Dubai. Another destination I was thinking of is Tenerife, but it seems there are direct flight to there as well. So no realy clue so far.
  8. Blue monday - Fats Domino
  9. So they re-open Via Volta but at the same time they'll close the Flying Dutchman Goldmine coaster. This coaster will be relocated to a themepark in France. Source : www.parkworld.be/pretparken-nieuws/walibi-world-neemt-afscheid-van-achtbaan
  10. Exiting news. Hope this really will become reality.
  11. Great update Hans. I too was very surprised to hear that CentrO closed forever shortly after our visit.
  12. ^Very interesting. The one at Fort Fun is 'only' 1250 meters long but it seemed MUCH longer. So I now definitely want to ride those of +3000 meters. Anybody ever been on the following one ? Hasenhorn Carrier: Bergwildpark Steinwasen, Adolf Braun, 79674 Todtnau Year of construction: 2004 Length: 2700 m Uplift system: chairlift I'm a bit confused about the length & the uplift system mentioning 'chairlift'. When I see on the park's website, they do have an alpine coaster (actually they announce 2 of them) so I guess that is the Wiegand. But they also mention that both of the rides are 800 meters long. I noticed the park is not that far away from Europapark so I'm very interested to find out more about that ride, if they have an alpine coaster of 2700 meters long.

  15. One of the directors of Plopsa told to the german newspaper Rehinpfalz that there won't we any major changes in Holidaypark next year. 2011 will be an evaluation year. As from 2012 the park will be transformed. Their goal is to have 1.5 millions per year at Holidaypark. Holidaypark will also become the german Plopsa HQ. There are going to buy/open another 3 german parks in the coming years www.rheinpfalz.de/cgi-bin/cms2/cms.pl?cmd=showMsg&tpl=rhpMsg_thickbox.html&path=/rhp/lokal/neu/has&id=7042577
  16. Construction pics from the park's facebook page
  17. Found this on the MPG facebook page.
  18. Good luck Renee !!!
  19. Love the Studio Brussel commercials. Here an old one : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUdFjPfsPw0
  20. Actually there is a river running through the park, but that wasn't the problem. It was the unseen heavy rainfall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which caused the floodings all over belgium. Larry, as far as I know, WB never had problems like this before. According to what they wrote on their FBpage, no big damages have been caused either.
  21. Bobbejaanland released a simulation of their new ride on their facebook page (sorry, didn't find it on youtube so far). Looks like an interesting layout www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150319521975361
  22. It's weird to see the park flooded while I've been there only 10 days ago. Hereby below 7 pics from the Walibi Facebook page.
  23. Walibi Belgium is for the bigger part flooded after the heavy rains this weekend. I'll try to found some more info and pictures on my pc at home this evening. Here already some impressions Below pictures taken from : http://themepark.nl/ubb/ubbthreads.php/topics/1515771/2.html video : http://www.deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuws/mediatheek/nieuws/binnenland/1.905386
  24. 3th stop of the day : CentrO We had no clue during our visit, but we were in CentrO on one of it's last operating days. The park is now closed forever and from what I read on other forums, the rides have been dismantled completely already. The CentrO themepark is part of the massive CentrO shopping center complex. The shopping center is huge .... There is also a concert hall, a sealife center, a cinemacomplex, and a lot of places to eat. But this was our reason of our visit. Dead park of course No idea what the giant thing behind the ferris wheel is. Weird splash battle Bee-bee It's a small but really nice park ... and we were lost Ah, found the ferris wheel Really strange building. Shopping center Credit Spinning mouse Hans couldn't wait anylonger and jump in the next available car. Next stop : Movie Park Germany
  25. Second stop of the day. Not really a themepark, but a Alpine/snow park. Actually, I only discovered this park a few days before our departure. But since it was along the route, I decided to include it in the trip. I was very surprised to find an alpine coaster in the Ruhr-area, but it really is there. There is a lot to do, but we only had time for the Alpine coaster After the one at Fort Fun, I was looking forward to ride another one. Absolutely weird to see this place in the heavy industrial Ruhr area. yay ! The ride starts when you leave the station as the lifthill is at the end of the ride. Take the tunnel Too bad this once didn't catch speed at all. Until this steep helix. Suddenly great speed. But immediately after this helix, the end was there unfortunately. Oh well, it was a nice ride and worth while the short stop. See ? Lifthill at the end Everybody in front of me was on our trip. Great area. Some of the other things to do at the Alpinecenter Next stop : CentrO. The park which closed forever after our visit.
