Dear Title Fairy, I just noticed I have in fact a weird standard title : people might actually believe I actually asked for this title and do prefer to mate with donkeys over humans. I can't think of a more appropriate title for me to be honest, so I'm taking the risk and would like to ask you, Dear Title Fairy, so change my standard title to a custom title which you find appropriate for me. ^^^^^^ The area of Brussels ? It was at the northern side of the city of Brussels, in the Boudewijn Stadium (formerly known as the Heysel stadium). Is this what you wanted to know ? ^^^^^ Saw that tour too. And I agree, best U2 concert I saw so far. ^^^^ Yep, Australia/New Zealand is up next after they finish this european leg next week. I like the support act you will be having. Also saw Metallica World Magnetic concert when they were here. No Claw, but Metallica ruled the concerthall. You will enjoy their concert. I would love them passing by here once more with this same tour. ^^^ Hi Olivier, I used to be a huge U2 fan, but only started to do concerts (in general, not only U2) about 10 years ago. Saw them here in Antwerp with their Elevation tour, went to Amsterdam for their Vertigo tour, and now saw their latest tour in Brussels. I don't know but is it just me or are concerttickets really way too expensive nowadays. I mean, I got invited but we had seats which normally costed euro 150 per ticket. I can get any seasonpass I want for that money !! Prince is coming next month to Antwerp. I would love to see him again, but I simply refuse paying between euro 69 and 129 for 1 ticket. I'm very sorry Mr Prince, but you won't get my money. If other people want to pay that much, fine for me, but as long as people keep on paying no matter what ticketprice, the ticketprices WILL keep on rising. Dammit, what is wrong with me. I end up ranting in almost every TR lately ;-( I seem to be in my life's rant period. So I will stop this rant here and end with a positive note : U2's Claw is AWESOME. And here are the pics to prove this. ^^ Same ! ^ Thanks A colleague from work went to see them the day before and got stuck at the parking for 2 hours after the concert. This was not going to happen to me as I have a secret parking spot nearby the stadion. Ok, it's 20 minutes walking but 20 minutes after the concert, I was on the highway already. The limo-van bringing the band to the stadium. We got something to drink at the normal parking (where we won't get stuck on). To be honest, this concert must be one of my first outside concerts. I don't like outside concerts because of the excellent climate we have here. The chance you might be in the rain is quite likely. And yes, I was very lucky that evening. All this is at the parking lot. There was even a dj playing ... U2 songs. But we arrived dry at the stadium. Euro 150 ticket !!! Merchandise In 3 weeks I will be here again and take the same picture. You'll see. Yay ! First encounter with the Claw. Interpol was support act. My cool t-shirt. Wow, 70000 people, that's a lot of people !! Proof I was there You can't imagine how glad I was I saw this when I looked up. I see orange. I see a clock. It made me think of a movie, but I don't recall the name of the movie. Wow, midnight already ? Beautiful Day. The lightshow is breathtaking. Yeah, all pics are taken from the same seat so all have the same angle. But still, every picture will be very different. I'm impressed by my nightshot camera skills. I really am. Still trying to figure out how I managed to take such, for me, sharp pictures. This will sound weird, but the top of the Claw made me think about the castle at Disneyland Paris a few times. Another song, another color. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 ... and lift off .... So that didn't happen .The Claw was still there. Don't worry. I'm really proud of these pics DLP Stretching screens during City of blinding lights. Probably the visual highlight of the evening. Shrinking screens. Less than during the previous tours, but Bono is still into politics. Probably the main reason why I became less of a fan than I ever was over the years. I used the political moments to sit down for a few minutes. Luckily it didn't last very long and the music was again the most important. The music and the Claw that is. DLP Visually, it's probably the best concert I've ever seen. Overall, it's only a top 10 concert. Bono asked everybody to hold their cell up. Which was a great effect in the stadium. U2 was playing at Brussels last week. The 2 concerts were sold out since more than one year, and I didn't even try to get tickets because I thought they costed way too much. A week before the concerts, a friend called me because he got 2 tickets for free for the second concert and he asked me whether I was interested to join him. Of course I wanted to. I used to be a huge fan of U2 in their Boy, October, War period. Only like a few songs after that period. I knew they weren't going to play much of the period I liked them, but still I wanted to see what all the fuzz was about their stage : The Claw. I can already confirm to you all : I'm now a fan of The Claw. The Claw was for me the star of the evening. (sorry about that Roxy. We'll definitely talk about this next summer). I managed to take various good nightshots though as you know, I suck at taking pictures in the dark. Still need to sort them out and will post them soon. Maybe flying in/out Strassbourg is an option aswell. Both Holiday- & Europapark have excellent english website sections with directions and suggestions on how to reach them. Don't worry about the english, you won't have big problems with people understand you.

^Yeah, hope so too. Part III and last part of this DLP TR. BIG Castle. When crowds are that heavy, Disney puts in a train for the meet and greet with the characters. So the meet and greet is becoming a parade. Actually, after this 'parade' had passed, people were taking position to watch the real parade, which would pass more than 2 hours later. After waiting for 15 minutes to buy a drink, I found a quiet spot behind this car. Picture of the 2 drinks I bought. And in the back, Walt's Restaurant. Can you believe that I knew it was at mainstreet, but I actually never spotted the restaurant before. We totally had it with those crowds so left the park early. Luckily we know the places to relax at the resort. If you've never been in the hotel, you really should make a quick visit to the hotellobby next time you're in DLP. The rooms are really expensive and in fact terribly overpriced. The suites at Phantasialand & Europapark you saw in earlier reports in this thread, are a MUCH better deal than the rooms at the Disneyland Hotel. A standard room at this hotel is even more expensive than the suites at the other parks. Last time we stayed at DLP, we even stayed at the Castle Club of this hotel. The room wasn't bigger than a standard room, but we had some extras like a vip-fastpass. The rate for 1 night in a standard room at the Castle Club, was 3 times the rate of the suites at Phanta/EP. Anyway, what I wanted to say, when you have the chance, enter the lobby for a few minutes and walk over the tick carpets, smell the perfume they put in the airco, breath the atmosphere at the hotel. It's really worth to sit down a few minutes at the lobby. And, if you go, try to go at 4 pm. There is a small show with some characters. After this show you have the chance to meet up with the characters WITHOUT 1 hour waiting rows like in the parks. These moments make worth the 7 hours drive (R/T) Even the chief was there 5 characters in 5 minutes something. On our way to the shop of the hotel. We decided to beat the crowds and when eating at 5 pm already. A bit spooky for kids And certainly this. But dinner was good. One final shopping lap at Disney Village I would consider buying these. You can buy the castle And a guitar here ending. Thanks for reading.

^Thanks. Next part of our Disneyland Paris day That's where we were. Really beautiful Themed Tower Et voila : Non-themed Tower Yes yes, no theming Pay attention now : this is the inside of an attraction. Really. Pay attention !! Focus on this pictures !!! This are the only interior pics you will find in this TR because ..... we only did one attraction that day !! Yes, you read that correctly. We only did one (1) ride that day because it was so freaking crowded. Still, we had an awesome day. We explored places we've never been before at DLP/WDS. Like this place. It's there since opening and actually, I've been in there. That's what I like about THEMEparks. There is so much to see that you even enjoy your day while the park is PACKED. I'm not a 90-minutes-waiting-row-person. Though I really wanted to have another ride on Crush. If I would have been on the rides, I wouldn't have notice this awesome black grass. Yay. Family pciture with the black grass I love my daugther but I also love Fantasia. Porbably my favorite Disney movie. Yes kids. Next time we'll be here, we'll stay over there again. Really ???? The previous castle I saw was 13 months ago in California. Difficult choice, but I think .... I like this one better !! Random mountain My kids don't like lines either. So the plan was walking to Small World and ride it. Hey, it's a capicity monster, and everybody will hate that attraction by now. BBBBBBEEEEEUUUUUUUUHHHHHTTTTT !!!! WRONG !!!!! Small World had a FULL waiting row !!! Sorry kids, there is no way I'm going to wait 45 minutes to ride that. Same story at POTC. I didn't even want to know how long the wait was. End of part II.
