My favorite soda while I'm in the USA is Diet Mountain Dew. Here in Europe, it is Diet Red Bull.

Can't explain it any better than TPDave did in this topic. -
Love your TR. That Skyjump looks like great fun. Your youtube link is 'blocked by Sony Music Entertainement in my country' But I looked up some other youtube videos of Sky Jump so I have a good idea how it works. But still I'm wondering. Do you experience a freefall moment or moments during your fall ? Or do you feel the wire all the time ?

Wow . Never knew something like this actually exists. I already went through all pictures twice and I'm going for a third time I think. -
With our Plopsa Funcard, we had 1 day free access to Phantasialand Since my last visit, they relocated the carroussel to right after the main park entrance. There are also some new kiddie rides near the carroussel. The mainstreet is nice. I think it's nicer now without the carroussel at the end of mainstreet. 'Small boy' My wife and youngest daughter are not that into coaster riding, so I bought 4 quick passes for me and my oldest daugther. This way we could do every big ride without waiting. Too bad they changed the quick pass rules for Black Mamba. You can't go on frontrow with the pass anylonger, only row 2 to 8. My daughter and I on the rapids It was really refreshing. New theming And with this ride, all our quick passes were used. We had a great day at Phantasialand

^^ & ^ : great job. I ran 25 kms / 15.5 miles yesterday. My goal was 30 km but had a nip problem too during the run. In fact, lately, I have this problem during every run. Too bad we don't have Target out here. But next week the peeps of the running shop behind my corner are back from holiday. They will have a solution for it I hope. Next Friday/Saturday, I'm doing a 100 km/ 62 miles run/walk. It's called Dodentocht (Death March) and over 10000 people will participate and do the 100 kms in maximum 24 hours. I'm not going to run that much anymore till then I think.

Part 3 of the same day. After spending some time with TPR at De Efteling, watching the Tour passing by in front of my house, it was time to leave on holiday. Our first destination was Phantasialand. We would stay 2 nights at Hotel Matamba. We love themed hotels and don't mind spending some extra bucks on getting at suite. We stayed at the Kwaheri Suite. Loved the bathrobes Great room theming Lovely bathroom Didn't need those. Children's room My kids discovering the room Lots to read, eat and drink. Balcony From where we had this excellent view Probably the closest one can sleep to a B&M Phantasialand overview Still wonder whether that wood is really supporting the building. Yay. Buffet !! Great theming everywhere Us We really liked this restaurant Impala : muh Zebra : mmmmmmhhhhhhh Even the restrooms were themed There even was a kids buffet Phantasialand camp out. Next morning. Before having breakfast, I checked whether Black Mamba was still there. Don't you just love this place ? Don't eat my kids will you ? Hotel kids area From the sofa, while watching tv ... I had this view ) View in the sleeping room There is another great hotel right next door. Hotel Ling Bao Stunning My kids started praying for something Tsingtao beer Great restaurant Every evening during summer : Asia Nights Buddha There was a great vibe at the Asia Night. Acrobats performing Chinese singers. They were .... ahum... not really great to say the least. Next update: Phantasialand

Great update again Larry. And yes, your TR will make me visit Wiener Prater. Don't know why, but I've always thought it was a very small park with a ferris wheel and a few other rides You seem to have done most of the rides and I'm wondering how much money you have spent. Too bad they don't/didn't sell all day passes/whristbands. -

^^ Hans when you read this, you still have to fill me in on this. I keep on reading about this, and I still don't know what happened that night About the reststop incident, one of the things I liked most on the WCT last year (and I'm sure it's on every TPR trip like that), was the punctuallity. Everybody was always on time, the bus always drove off to the announced minute. It stressed me out a bit the first time I learned that 'the bus will leave without me if I would be late', but it really works and I really liked it. In fact, once in a while, I'm organising daytrips at work for the colleagues, and since the WCT, I'm actually using this too. I even tell I learned this by going on a trip with TPR and even don't translate it in my own language : 'Be on time for the bus. The bus WILL leave without you if you're not on time and you didn't warn me'. (ok, I added the last 5 words myself). But, as said it works. Everybody was on time and no stress for me, but also no stress for everybody who was on time, because there wasn't any waiting for people being late. Too bad it obviously didn't work at the reststop that night.

^^ Bring your running gear on the NE trip Gregg. We have to do a run together while on the trip In the meanwhile I'm running for 2.5 years now. My goal for this year was running 1000 kms in total. But since I'm already above that barrier since mid this month, I'm pretty sure I will end up above 1000 miles this year, probably even very close to 2000 kms) Also, 1 month I decided to do something I should have done long before : quit smoking. Yes, until 1 month ago, while not running, I was smoking I never believed smoking had such an impact on my running capabilities, but man, I couldn't have been more wrong. Already after not even 24 hours, it felt like having more breath and it was easier to keep the pace while running. 2 weeks ago I focussed on my fastest times and I improved all my record times by several minutes. Last Saturday I decided to focus again on endurance and ran 1/2 marathon without any problems (and of course in a new personal best 1h44'53"). The next weeks I'm planning on running 1/2 marathon every weekend. And the rest of the week 3 or 4 times a shorter run between 3 and 6 miles.

Great update. Why haven't I've been to Wiener Prater yet It's definitely on my to do list now. From your pictures, it makes me think a lot of BPB. I found a short Tornado off-ride on youtube. Never seen something like that before. -

Awesome tripreports Larry. And wow, Wiener Prater holds a lot a coasters. Didn't know that. And something else I didn't know, is what MILF stands for. Looked it up and now I know BTW, I amazed by your planning skills. Doing all that by public transport, going to places I've never heard of before (I still can't believe you visited that saltmine), it must have been quite an adventure. Impressive !! -
