  1. Ain't nobody - Chaka Khan
  2. Normally I would have been at this very moment on the 13000 teu vessel but it got delayed on its way to Zeebruges till the weekend so no reception on a vessel today for me. In stead some more pictures of the Zim Antwerp vessel (from the Zim Belgium fb page)
  3. Found the flyer on the web : it's at the right at the bottom of the flyer
  4. I was in an hotel not too far from the Nurburgring yesterday for work, and I noticed a Ringwerk flyer in the hotellobby. I was leaving the hotel at that moment for a nearby congress so didn't take the flyer with me, and this morning when checking out, I forgot to take one too. But what struck me, was that as said in the above post, the opening is announced for this month AND what really struck me is the coaster speed of the coaster on the flyer : 160 kms/hour. I didn't really follow this thread in the last couple of months, but I didn't know that the topspeed was reduced.
  5. Thanks for posting. Some really nice pictures in your report. It almost makes WB look like a great park
  6. Yes, still working for K+N. Actually being on board of such a vessel, is indeed much nicer than sitting at my desk. In a few days, if everything goes as planned, I'll be visiting one of the UASC 13000 TEU vessels.
  7. Dammit, some pics are turned. I'm sorry for that, this is my first TR since I switched over to Apple and I'm still figuring some things out.
  8. It's been a while since my last update. I still didn't make it to any themepark this year, but in stead, I have an update about a giant container vessel I have been on a few days ago. I'm shipping containers as a job, so I was invited for a reception on board of the maiden voyage of M/S Zim Antwerp. It's a 10000 TEU vessel, approx 48 meters wide, 350 meters long, 100000 horsepowers engine, ... well it's huge. Antwerp port Ready to board View from a bridge all these containers are actually on the vessel More containers ready to be loaded Our select group for the evening Straddle carrier the bridge and inside Captain's view Steering wheel Star Trek the captain showed us arround in the engine and power room. Engines Power room That's it. Hope you liked the pics. Next week I'm normally visiting an even bigger vessel.
  9. I will check whether we can switch those days. Are you travelling by train the whole day on Tuesday ? We will have a rental car, driving back direction Newark on Tuesday evening, sleeping over somewhere along the highway at about 100 miles before Newark and arriving at Newark on Wednesday morning for the pre-pre add ons. If you haven't booked yr trainticket yet, if you want you can drive with us and do e.g. SFA on Sunday or Monday and do KD with us on Tuesday.
  10. Hans & me are doing the same parks on Monday (BGW) and Tuesday (KD). Maybe we can meet up if you're there on the same days.
  11. Hi, we did the tour of all the big parks (HW, SFKK, KI, CP, CW, Kennywood, Hershey, Dorney, Knoebels, SFGAdv, KD, BGW & SFA) back in 2008 in the second half of May. All parks were open, the weather was excellent and crowds were very light, except on Memorial Day. In stead of driving a loop, maybe it's worthwhile thinking of flying in/out on different airports like we did. We saved a lot of driving by doing so and the surcharge we had to pay to drop off the rental car was not too high, considering the miles we saved. We flew in on Evansville, IN (close to Holiday World) and flew back from Washington DC. We included Canada's Wonderland in our trip, but this was a lot of extra driving and except for all the credits (only Vortex & Behemoth were worthwhile), we wouldn't include CW in our trip if we would do the same trip again. Hope this helps
  12. Thank you for not letting me mate with donkeys anylonger
  13. If the event would have been 26 days later, I would be in..... Dammit, why do I live that far from the USA
  14. Great report and pictures. Too bad the only thing I read in the newspaper about this opening was that the fireworks caused a small forrest fire
  15. Great TR. I visited FF for the first time October last year and feel lucky that all rides were walk-ons the day of our visit. Trapper Slider is simply amazing !!! I really liked this park.
  16. The last 2 months I didn't run that much because the back of my left foot was hurting. It's probably my Achilles tendon (is that translated correct ? If you've never heard of this word, let me know), but I'm not really sure. I'm trying out my old running shoes now, and so far it's hurting less. Well, we'll see. Maybe, I should see a doctor Anyway, exactly one year ago, I couldn't run because I had my apendicites taken out, but this year, I did run the Antwerp 10 miles. In fact, I was working since 6 months to run the Antwerp marathon, but thanks to Mr Achilles, I limited my run to the 10 miles. Although my foot started to hurt a bit in the last 2 miles, I managed to finish in 1h41 minutes, which was above my target time, but still, I'm happy I finished the run. Here some pics Right after the start And at the finish
  17. You've got the love - the Source + Candi Station
  18. Looking forward to visit this park. On the second picture (the overview picture), is that a parkhotel ? When will that open ?
  19. You're my best friend - Queen
  20. ^ You must be in either France or Belgium when you don't see the usual qwerty keyboard ? Looking forward to hearing from you.
  21. Let me know the exact date for your visit to Bobbejaanland. I might want to visit the park because of their new coaster and meet up with you. Depending on where you'll be spending the night before, I maybe able to pick you up and drive to BJL.
  22. Update from the park's FB page. New parkmap New parkmap Cars arrived
  23. Sweet love - Anita Baker
  24. Here an interesting link link listing up gas prices in each country. Uruguay seems to be 'winning' for the moment.
