For CoD4's M-rating: It's (IMO) a middle-to-light M. They didn't push the rating at all, everything you see/hear would fly in a PG13 movie, but there is visible blood, some language, and the fact that it takes place in unknown Middle East country, not City17/space/1960s spy world. The first 2 Infinity Ward CoD's were T, but the non-WW2 environment caused an M IMO.

For a hotel near SFMM, I'd stay at the Holiday Inn Express (http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/vacca) Going from CGA to SFDK, take 680, it's much faster/prettier/smoother then 880. Great America and Santa Cruz are about an hour apart, whatever-name-Gardens is 45min or so away from Great America. Look at dates carefully, CGA/SFDK is only open the last week of may daily, weekends only before that. Knott's/SFMM/Disney are daily, but

(Pretending to know about economics...) A. Cedar-Fair has debt, and they say to their creditors, "look, these parks are worth X now, but why not wait 2 years and then we could sell them for 1.5X" B. Cedar-Fair has debt, and really needs to pay some of it back. They sell some assets, and pay down some debt. C. Cedar-Fair wants some fast money now, because they think the recession will be much worse then we think/hope. D. Cedar-Fair moves into the trashcan and cement industry.

I'm guessing (hoping?) she got another PR job somewhere lined up ready to go. -

$100 for the spinning raft ride. In $20 bills. -
Left 4 Dead: No Mercy Maybe the best Left 4 Dead game I've ever played, and also the fastest.

A GCI complete retrack of Ghostrider? With new trains, it will cost nearly as much as Terminator's 10 million, but we can dream...

Bush Gardens Africa/Tampa/new-name-from-whoever-owns-them-next, New B&M Concept, 2010. Or it could be Cedar Point's 2010 flyer.

Didn't care about EGM. However, the death of the 1up podcasts is painful. Though with Rebel.fm, and Ryan Scott's project, we might end up with something better then before. Maybe. 1up was the best "corporate" gaming website, but GiantBomb, the remains of 1up, Ars Techinca gaming, and the gaming blogs (Shacknews, Joystiq), I think I'll be OK.

I'm downloading all the 1UP podcasts. I've been screwed by podcasts going offline before, it's not going to happen this time...

Did they really think that they could get 30,000 a day? That's above Knotts, Magic Mountian, IOA, Cedar Point...how did they get the money? I think this place died because it was failure on planing. They didn't plan that they might not have guest counts in the 20-30k after being open for one week. I guess I thought they would make it 2-3 seasons before "calling it quits"...

Gears 2: I think I would love the co-op in Gears if Left4Dead didn't come out. Gears just a really limiting game, and the levels are very "annoying". The razer rain, hella annoying. The tank driving, annoying. Unskipable cutseens, annoying. Left4Dead is 1 hr of awesome. Gears 2 is 30 min of awesome, 30 min of crap. Xbox 360: The lack of wifi is a pain-in-the-a$$, and damn, its loud. It's a "friends house" system for me, as the big 360 exclusives don't really interest me that much. LittleBigPlanet: The platforming reminds me of Psychonauts. Very floaty, nowhere near as presice as Mario/even Ratchet&Clank. The level editor is cool, the user levels range from crap to cool to amazing, though paying for DLC is not going to be fun... PC gaming: STALKER was $5 on Steam, its very old-school FPS, lots of death. CoD:4's knife is still overpowered IMO. TF2 is still fun. L4D's ping bars broke. I'm out of HD space...again.

Random things: SheiKra (17) is better then Griffon (21) X2 (28) is SFMM best ride, with Tatsu (30) right behind. Eejanaika is 218 places behind X2. Rita - Queen of Speed (123) and Desert Race (124), are as far as I can tell, the only "clones" that are ranked side-by-side. Joker's Jinx (143), Flight Of Fear (145), and Poltergeist (147) are all one coaster apart. (The other Flight of Fear is 156.)

The answer is clear: Xcelerator (or StormRunner/Superman:Escape/any of the other good rocket coasters) -
I saw the Rock Revolution at best buy, it's something I almost want to buy, because its just so crappy that maybe one day it will be a collectors item. One day, when RB:EverySongEverMade comes out, I could bring out the Rock Revolution as say: "look at this piece of crap, something that we would have liked if Harmonx/Red Octane didn't exist"
