In Flames - Trigger * 2015 tour w/ All That Remains announced today \m/

Great topic! For as long as I can remember I have always tried to end my night at Canada's Wonderland by first riding the 'Swing of the Century' and then playing the ring toss. I don't normally play games at parks (and I can't recall how or why this ritual began) but I've been closing my CW days this way since I was a child. Also, the handful of times that I've been to SFGadv I've ended my day by sitting adjacent to the Grandstand in the Lakefront area and eating a slice of insanely expensive pizza. After a few moments of peaceful reflection I then head to Nitro and get one last ride before leaving the park. Nitro's setting at dusk is one of my all-time fav things.

Lagoon Discussion Thread

One month and 20+ pages back I said I was seriously considering changing my 2015 coaster trip plans in order to hit up Lagoon next year. With this last handful of construction photos that "seriously considering" is now a firm 100%. Cannibal is now my #1 Must Ride new installation for 2015. -
The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
BugEyed replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The biggest surprise for me was not liking X2. I just assumed that I was going to love it, but it just didn't work out that way. I actually kind of hate it. Fahrenheit was probably the biggest "pleasant" surprise. I expected nothing and it was just so much fun. Not a top 10 coaster to be sure, but certainly much better than most of the reviews had indicated. -

Embarrassed of parks...
BugEyed replied to outbackjack's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Being embarrassed by something that is healthy, legal and that gives you pleasure is a waste of perfectly good positive emotions. -
Somewhere back in 2006 I made the decision to revamp my online profile with a more interesting username and avatar. In an effort to inspire ideas I randomly googled the words "Lion" and "Poop". When the "Poop Lion" photo appeared I thought to myself "well that perfectly sums up my entire being" so I used it for my new TPR account. I had every intention of making it my universal avatar across all platforms, but that didn't happen. It's my TPR avatar and it always has been. Two years ago when I was driving through West Virginia I was both shocked and pleased to discover that "Food Lion" is a Mid-Atlantic supermarket chain that my avatar is making fun. I had no idea.

I don't think it looks at all ugly. A little unconventional perhaps; but cool in a David Lynch's "Industrial Symphony No. 1" kind of way. Fitting for something called "Cannibal". -

I agree. Don't let the potential for crowds dissuade you. The park is still plenty of fun when it's jammed packed. Even on the absolute worst days Leviathan and Behemoth both continue to gobble up people quickly. -

Unless you happen to luck out weather-wise (heavy rain in the morning) any Wednesday through Sunday period in July will traditionally see the park operating at full capacity. Fast Lane Plus will be your best friend. -

Holy crap, I had no idea the layout would be so cool. Taking such extreme elements at that height (and so slowly) will be so fantastically scary. Even the damn lift hill winding it's way up the tower looks fun. If this first installation works out I can see these being built all over the place. -

I said it much earlier in this thread and I'll say it again: Cannibal is one of the coasters I'm most curious about for the 2015 season. If the initial reviews are everything I hope they'll be I have already decided to shift my plans and forego a much larger first-time park in order to visit Lagoon next summer.
