Nice pics, and the cruise looks very interesting. As far as the spelling errors on the slide list, yeah, I can see it being real, I know a lot of people from up that way and it would be fitting!!!! Not many places you can go and find that kind of atmosphere without some big corporate affair ruining some part of it. Nice to see there is somewhere relaxing left to spend some quality time and "get away" from everything. If you ever come back this way and are looking for more of the same, check out Western Maryland, Deep Creek Lake, and Rocky Gap Lodge. Although not as exciting as the big metro areas elsewhere, we can kinda compete with The Raystown area somewhat. And the Wisp at Deep Creek does have a Mountain Coaster!!!!!

LMAO at the dueling bench comments!!!! Raystown is about 30 minutes up the road from where we live, never made it there though, sounds like a good idea for the weekend with the kids. I really enjoy other peoples comments on these "small" parks in PA as with the little ones we frequent them quite often through the summer. If I am not mistaken, they do the wing-offs a few times a year, and if anyone can make it to DelGrosso's on the 4th of July, they have one of the best firework shows anywhere in the area.

Intamin Spiral Coaster!

In the first pic from RCDB on the Sky Plaza Comet, it appears to have drive wheels to make it go through the spirals. Now does this make it a powered coaster and if so, how slow does it travel through the inversions? Makes it all that less thrilling of an idea...... -

It just looks slow, painful and quite honestly, pointless. -

That is the same Carny Co. that does our fair here in Cumberland, MD. They bring the coaster every time. It has been a few years since they had that ride that you really liked, called the Tornado I believe. And yes, it is a very insanely awesome ride. Have not made it to bridge day yet, but my sister and her fiance made a pilgrimage there during the year just to visit and do all the touristy stuff. Up here in these parts they make a pretty big deal out of it. I am not sure how far I am from it, but pretty much everyone who lives here knows about it. Where abouts in WV are you at, I am close to Keyser, Romney, and Paw Paw!!! -
Has this ever happened to you?
eddie200330 replied to dominoes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe it's a B&M thing. At the little drop off the lift on Dominator, my harness went all the way up till the belt caught it. I was shitten myself the rest of the ride holding it down. It did lock itself back in place, but for those 2 minutes I had a helluva ride. -
That would be Blackfoot with the song Train, Train. Unless you count the version Warrant put out on their Cherry Pie album. Any idea where the new ride is going. It looks like they might have gotten rid of the Monster ride by the looks of that flat piece of concrete you had a pic of. The waterslides might look ghetto, but they never send people at a distance. We just jump in and shoot down together trying to stay on those damn rubber mats!!!! They also have a nice childrens play area, not quite as good as DelGrosso's, but pretty neat none the less.

If it was a maintenance issue, so be it. Otherwise I always enjoyed it and thought it was definitely the best Arrow suspended I had ever ridden. (No Eagle's Fortress for me). The only slow part I remember was braking before the second lift. I always thought the ride hauled some pretty good ass! BTW, middle school or kiddygarden, who the hell cares, this place is happier than Disneyland!! LMAO
-
Aren't Arrow and Vekoma rides similar too? I am pretty sure that their trains are interchangeable and one or the other in the past has provided them for the other companies coasters. I am referencing the sit downs, not suspended......

Places to Stay in Sandusky

Get hold of one of their getaway guides, it comes with a good bit of "coopuns". Available from their website, calling 1-800-best-fun, or see guest relations at the front entrance. Someone help me out here, does Breakers Express get all the perks of the other CP Resorts such as early entry and free parking? -
This park is awesome for a quick summer fling for families with kids. We always drag coolers and everyone and head up the road each summer. I don't really know how much room they have towards the back of the park for a coaster though, and yes that piece of steel you seen in the lot across the road is the old Libertyland Revolution. It has been there for about 4 or 5 years and I sent them an email asking about it and was told they were "hopeful". Alas that has been 3 years since.... In reference to the waterslide with airtime, no not really. If you and your partner can't keep your ass off the slide to reduce friction you barely make it over and into the pool. Two summers ago we were waiting to get up the tower and the steps go right beside the drop. Two young boys didn't make it and "rolled back". The idiot lifeguard jumped into the slide at the same time the idiot guard at the top sent another raft without looking. The second raft wiped out the lifeguard and slammed the boys stuck in the dip. No one was seriously hurt, but the girl was flipped off her feet and landed on her head with a loud thud and seemed to have a slight concussion. But anyway, yeah they have lots of room to expand the waterpark in the field, and it does get really crowded on hot days, which means more time for the cool spin and pukes they have!!!!

^ Going back up to the pic you said was your desktop, I can imagine just how impressive I305 looks when cresting over the top of Rebel Yells lift hill, or in the front seat when you shoot up into the turnaround and BAM there it is!!!!
