They have had a lot of recent troubles with permits and starting constrution on the ride before getting permits. Eventually, they just decided that they would not be able to open it until August/September so they just scrapped the project.

Gerstlauer's go up very fast. Anyone remember Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge? They only take 2-3 weeks at the most to go up, and then another week or two and they are already testing. Gerst. footers are basically just holes that the supports sit in. Once the whole track is complete, they just fill the gaps with concrete. You can see it in these photos.

^A lot of the back part of the park opens at 11:00am to allow time for guests to trek into that section of the park. Only new rides really open at 10:00am in the back, excluding Mine Ride.

^Though Vertical Velocity only describes one half of the ride since it's modification. I guess 45 Degrees Velocity wouldn't sound very good.

Out of the 5ish LIM launches I have been on, I think that the Intamin Impulse coasters have the strongest launch.

Your title says "dark ride at Nickelodeon Universe". They will not be getting a dark ride as they already have one and there is too little space in there to have repeat rides. In Phase 2, the Log Chute will be rethemed, Orange Streak will be repainted to have bright orange track and lime gree supports (Cosmo the fairy type color), and retheming other rides that have not already been rethemed. Phase 3 is when they will demolish the old Stampede Steakhouse buildings for a new ride (currently a rumor). Nothing is in the buildings but it is a very long piece of land for a new ride. BTW, even though the four series you mentioned were canceled, they are still very popular and Nick still runs re-runs of them unlike the Wild Thornberry's.
