  1. ^ I'm not sure about Top Thrill Dragster trains, but I would love to see Stormrunner trains and maybe the Stealth, Rita, and Xcelerator trains which are all the same thing... lol.
  2. So with the recent showing of screenshots for v1.6, what do you think NL2 will be like. A number one issue for me with the program is the atmosphere. I mean, I hope it doesn't sound like I'm asking for much, but I can't stand the silence anymore. I should be hearing water swoosh around when I'm near water, or I should be hearing wind and birds when I'm around trees, or maybe some distant merry go round music. Plus, maybe more realistic sounds for the steel coasters, the constant grind of wind going by doesn't cut it for the steel coasters. The sounds for the B&M coasters in RCT2 are good examples of what I'm looking for.
  3. For some reason my school blocks the no limits website, but concerning the water relfections. Changing reflections was available in 1.55 in the water options.
  4. Very nice pics, I'll let you know how the video is when it's done downloading.
  5. This article popped up in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette today! http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06071/668640.stm The Generation of Kennywood Owners The article is full of interesting facts and such. I'm glad Kennywood never selled out to Six Flags.
  6. Haha, awesome video Robb. I guess Elissa needs to eat more McDonalds to win next time .
  7. ^ I agree, most coasters that are trimmed up, like any Summers and Dinn coaster, were trimmed because of the company going under and the park could no longer have the coaster fixed as fast because of any wear and tear. That's why some of Summers and Dinn's masterpieces, like the Mean Streak and the long gone Hercules, were trimmed up so bad. So unless there are major flaws in the design for El Toro, I say it should be trim free for most of it's life until Intamin goes out of busines.
  8. Someone above me got it right, there is very strong competition in the "family" market in this corner of the U.S. To the north is Kennywood (...when the Mon Valley Expressway is built, it's going to make it much easier for people living south of Pittsburgh to get to the park), Idlewild, Hersheypark, Dorney Park, Knoebles, then around SFA is Paramount King's Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. You all know how much trouble Cedar Fair had with the competition when they purchased Six Flags Worlds of Adventure (Geauga Lake). The park probably has one of the cheapest gate prices ($24.95) and still has problems, mainly due to them not purchasing the Sea World part of the park which was the main draw for a decade or more. I hope SFA stays though because I still want to get the chance to see it.
  9. So yeah, ACE's Spring Conference is at Paramount Canada's Wonderland, Martin's Fantasy Island, and Six Flags Darien Lake. The cost of this trip seems pretty reasonable and I'm wondering if any of you are going?
  10. I was thinking the same thing, what if we got a bunch of TPR peeps to help put it together.
  11. I wasn't sure which forum this should go in, but since I'm asking a question, eh you know. Anyway, I was thinking about this whenever I was reading ACE's "Rollercoaster" and I began to think that TPR should have it's own magazine. I mean, Robb already posts great trip reports with plenty of pictures, why not make it into a magazine. So I guess I'm asking you (Robb) if you would consider making a magazine?
  12. Cedar Point is supposed to be getting a new Screamin' Swing for 2007, it's probably for that. Edit: Oops, haha yea I just checked my "sources" and it is for 2006.
  13. I must admit that it looks and probably rides awesome since I remember seeing it on one of Robb's footage videos.
  14. Aw, damn! That's a shame that it had to end, but hopefully it continues on because I really liked the show.
  15. ^^ You can just change the Expedition GeForce track in No Limits into wood!
  16. I just watched the video and it looks Hadesish! Actualy, I did point out some slow points to the coaster which is no surprise to me, but I would prefer a shorter track circuit like the Raven's in which it gives you no time to see whats happening. Im not saying Voyage is going to suck, but its gonna lack that uniqueness I like. Yes, I know im picky...
  17. I guess I'll throw my chant in here aswell... LETS GO STEELERS Nice to get that off my chest Damn, the Seahawks are definately going to want to beat us since this is their first Superbowl.
  18. It's really up to you, I mean you said you didn't want to be rushed at your park visits, so you might end up sacrificing a park or two. Just remember that it's not the end of the world if you don't get to one of the parks, especially Kennywood since you're going to want time to see everything. P.s. Goodluck and I wish you a happy marriage...
  19. Whenever I rode Mantis last summer, the problem wasn't the seating or track design, but it was the wait time. No way in hell I'll ever wait a hour and a half to ride that piece of crap again.
  20. Haha, all it means to me is that I "still" have to get to Knoebels Grove. It's sad that I live in PA (clear across the state) and never been there before.
  21. Yea, the peeps above me said it best. Kennywood is doable in a day and you don't have to worry about picnics around June 30th, well you don't have to worry about "big" picnics atleast. I accidently went on Penn Hills day last year, biggest mistake ever .
  22. ^ It's an extremely hard choice to make. I'm sorry that I am not making the decision any easier for you, but both parks have their good and bad points. Kennywood does have an awesome atmosphere, but Hershey has 5 more coaster credits. However, you may want to consider that Kennywood is a traditional park while Hershey is a theme park. You might want to balance out your trip out with Hershey, but if you really want to have "memories" then I personally suggest Kennywood. Look at it this way, you won't regret it either way, yet Hershey to me atleast was just like Geauga Lake, I just went for the coasters, not the chocolate, lol.
  23. ^ Yea agreed. It's a tough choice between Knoebles and Kennywood. You might just have to drop one park and visit it some other time you're in PA. P.s.- I think PA is a dark ride goldmine (Conneaut Lake and Waldameer come to mind)!
