  1. The dive show wasn't the reason why the Swing Around was removed; it was the stage underneath the Swing Around. The whole building needed to be refurbished and when costs added up, it was just better in the long run to take out the whole building (including the Swing Around) and wait to build a brand new stage! So expect to see a new stage in the spot in the near future and don't count on any rides being put on top of it because Kennywood has had problems getting some acts to perform there due to the ride noises happening above the stage.
  2. ^ You'd want the untextured trains? Lol, anyway I guess paying for this new update is pretty fair since none of the trains (exception to the wooden coaster trains) are using the default train models.
  3. ^^ Yea it's weird looking, but it wasn't unusual since the Aero 360 was also closed. I hear it may open soon and also, the Phantom was running great
  4. I rode the SwingShot yesterday and even with one arm working, it was a decent wait. That reminds me, does anybody know how Lake Compounce's Screamin Swing is doing? Edit: I guess "Thunder N' Lightning" is doing well, but LC isn't charging extra, right?
  5. Looks like you had an awesome time, this is the kind of trip I think I wanted to take to New Jersey next month. Everything seemed very clean (farcry from the nasty stories I heard) and it looked like it was all worth the trip. I'm more excited than ever for the trip I want to take now.
  6. ^ They actualy start off the Jackrabbit with two trains automatically (Racer too take that Colossus). Anyway, on the Phantom, they used to wait until the line was clearly half way down the bridge to add the second train because they didn't want half empty trains on the track, mainly due to the magnetic braking slowing the train down to a crawl into the station. Now that the train is stopped no matter what, I have no clue why they don't add it. I think it's because the computer still has problems running the two trains at the same time, just like on opening day when a safety cut-out occurred. I would know because I was there, but it was running great for most of the day. Well I'm glad you had a good time Derek, I kinda wish I was there for the event, but I had work and forgot to register! However, I do have a Giant Eagle sponsored Kennywood ticket in my dresser and I'm saving it for someday this summer and hopefully I'll get to meet some TPR peeps because I've yet to done so.
  7. I'd go back to the 20's and ride all the classics, especially the Blue Streak at Woodcliff Pleasure Park in Poughkeepsie, New York because it's last two drops were 127 and 140 feet. *Thanks for Coasterglobe for the photo*
  8. ^ Yea, I've seen New York before, but on a bus! I'll definately modify my route accordingly. I might use mapquest to find a friend's house a few miles away, but I doubt it's usefulness when I'm in Connecticut.
  9. I wonder what kind of trains will be used? Probably the PTC 4 seater, but what if they use the PTC 6 seater!
  10. ^ I think that's what I'll do, thanks for the advice. Well, I just did a mapquest of my route and I was wondering if there is anything I should worry about because I know mapquest isn't 100% reliable and accurate. my route
  11. ^^^ I've been to Kennywood, Conneaut Lake, Waldameer, Geauga Lake, Cedar Point, Hershey Park, and Busch Gardens. I like the idea of doing SFGAdv and maybe heading north to SFNE and Lake Compounce. I was thinking Clementon, but I didn't hear any great reviews from the place so idk.
  12. Hey guys, It's been quite awhile since I ventured passed Southwestern Pennsylvania to an amusement park (last year, it was Cedar Point), so I'm picking out a few days in August to go to some distant amusement park(s). I'm wondering if you guys had some suggestions to what parks I should go to. I was thinking about New York and doing Great Escape and Six Flags Darien Lake, but I was also thinking of going east to Knoebels, Lake Compounce, and Six Flags New England. I could possbily go south to Six Flags America, Paramount King's Dominion, and Busch Gardens. However there is the Cedar Fair infested Ohio I could always do. So I don't know, if anybody wants to give me ideas, I'm all ears. Also, I wouldn't mind doing this trip with someone on TPR if they're interested since I'm doing this by myself. So thanks and hopefully I'll have a plan on what's happening soon.
  13. I was trying to search the internet for anything to back up what I was saying, but found nothing. However, I did find a webpage talking about Colossus's history and the track was reprofiled after an accident. www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/coasters/reviews/colossus/ So I guess I'm wrong about it not running the two sides after the accident.
  14. I thought the general consensus was that Collosus was running both sides until there was an accident and they've just gone away with it?
  15. Haha, this is an easy one for me. It has to be the Vekoma Inline Roll and the Vekoma Sidewinder.
  16. Yea, I'm happy to see Shapiro doing good with the Six Flags chain. Even if he has to sell Magic Mountain because you gotta do what you gotta do.
  17. I've read all the posts, but I was seeing if there was talk on the side of putting them in one. Anyway it doesn't matter, I was just suggesting. These are incredible my friend, I can't believe how good you are. Haha I'm curious to see how this coaster crash ends.
  18. I don't know if anybody has mentioned this already, but there seriously needs to be a cartoon with Tommy, James, and Homey G in it. Plus other peeps, but anyway. Excellent job so far...
  19. I think Alton Towers passed the point of the common sense plea a long time ago and it's down to the judge. It's just a shame that the justice system lets these retards win court cases. I just hope the judge drops the case on their asses.
  20. I picked Schwarzkopf since he created some of the best coasters around the world. Yes, some of them now suck because of the OTSRs, but I still prefer Schwarzkopf.
  21. Thanks for the comments guys, yea I'm quite aware of the jerkyness and some of the transitions being the way they are. However this was the first time I've made the heartline rolls and without any tools at that, so I was pretty excited to get the download out asap. Thanks again and I hope to make more coasters...
  22. Well it's been a long long time since I've posted a coaster of mine on here. Apparently the interest came back when school got out, so who knew that a few hours of extra free time could motivate me to make this? Oh who knows and who cares, right? Anyway I decided to try something that I've never tried before. A dun dun dun heartlined inverted coaster. If any of you know my style of coaster, which is mostly speed, hills, and turns; this may come as a shock Well don't worry, the Intamin Invert rage in me should last for only a year Anyway, this is KILO... and yea, I don't like introductions, so I'll let the pictures do the talking. Oh, I almost forgot... Enjoy! KILO.nltrack Track Download
  23. There is hope to some of the New York Six Flags parks. Kennywood, I hear, might put a bid on a park like Darien Lake if it goes up for-sale. I doubt they'll ever sell Six Flags Great Escape since it fits perfectly with their new plans of a family park co., but whatever happens y'know, I'm just spectulating what could happen.
  24. Ravine Flyer II when it's completed , um I'd have to go with the coaster that best utilizes it's terrain and that is the Thunderbolt. I mean it could have easily gone to the Phantom's Revenge, but nothing can really beat a John Miller/Andy Vettel coaster.
  25. The final B&M Twisted Steel trains are completed, apparently the No Limits crew are being distracted by the world cup .
