  1. I thought that they were just gutting the whole thing and reconstructing it with new track and supports, as opposed to just certain sections.
  2. It should just be there to begin with, without having to purchase what's effectively day one downloadable content.
  3. I'm actually surprised that they didn't rip the foam off of the harnesses and use them as spares for Dragon Challenge.
  4. Judging by the concept art I found today it appears they may not be. Looks like this one might be non inverted too Are we sure that that's an Intamin? The whole switch track, multiple launch thing seems like something that Premier would do.
  5. No, I don't want to wait. Add screenshots to your thread or it will be exter-mi-na-ted.
  6. They typically put Halloween gags and theme elements along the track every year.
  7. Whoa there buddy, slow down a bit. If Hersheypark only strove to reach the thrill seeker, they'd be in trouble. Every amusement park has to be a family park in some way, otherwise families would have no reason to take their children who can't or are not willing to experience the headlining "wow factor" attractions. The Boardwalk and Laff Track have gone a long way to bring more mass appeal to Hersheypark, sure. But one of those is a water attraction that only operates between Memorial and Labor Days, and the other is a large roller coaster in a dark, possibly-scary-to-some-children environment. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Howler the last outdoor "family" attraction added to the park in recent memory? That was seven years ago. EDIT: Cocoa Cruiser too, but still? A six year gap without a single outdoor family attraction?
  8. I would expect that we'll see the kind of thing that Great Coasters did for the Coney Island Cyclone, albeit at a much larger scale and with new trains. On the sections that Great Coasters restored, I think that they pretty much gutted everything except for the support structure - bents, rails, catwalks and handrails, too. If we think of how just replacing a big chunk of Cyclone improved the coaster as a whole, we can sort of expect how GhostRider will fare by having the entirety of its track completely replaced, right? Having Great Coasters or Gravity Group do the job would seem to make sense if they wanted to keep the coaster feeling like an old-school wooden coaster. Also, twelve cars most likely. Twelve single-row cars plus the pilot car in the front takes up about the same length as seven two-row cars.
  9. Spine with sand, supports with gravel, if I'm not mistaken.
  10. Maybe I don't understand. How would this new track type make their coasters any different? Like, what can they do with this that they aren't able to do with their I-box system?
  11. Reese's Xtreme Cup Challenge stopped being good after they stopped giving you a free sample at the end.
  12. It's a toss-up. With the old ones, I can't breathe deeply because they're so close to my chest. With the new ones I can, but the vest puts uncomfortable pressure on my shoulders. If I had to choose I'd pick the new ones only because they don't give you tunnel vision.
  13. If it's a park that's universally recognized as "good" and I have a bad visit once, I usually give the park a second chance as if the first bad visit was a fluke. Typically my "worst" park visits are only bad because I pick a bad day to go.
  14. That would actually make you motion sick.
  15. Here's a half-decent on-ride video with a comparison between the coaster pre- and post-refurbishment.
  16. I mean, that's one way to get red of obsolete LG phones.
  17. Just actually watched the teaser... "Step up under flip"? Really?
  18. Yep. Get people consistently circulating through this new area with a coaster, fill it in with more rides later.
  19. They also used photos of the one at Six Flags America.
  20. This right here. They probably asked Gerstlauer to fit them on the new Schwarzkopf coaster train design.
  21. Considering that they're pretty much keeping the current audio trains, I'd be willing to bet imaginary money that it will end up being just as apparently "meh" that it is now after a few years.
  22. I personally have had success running NoLimits 2 from a USB drive. If I remember correctly, you basically have to set up a folder structure like it is on a normal hard disk (disk name > Program Files and the like) for the game to work properly.
  23. Oh, believe me, I'm working on that. Yep, it's all about taking people out of this world and putting them into another where nothing else matters. The issue that comes up nowadays is that while we could create the most immersive experience in human history, we're still not going to forget about the world outside - thank social media and smart devices for that. It's why I want to see a new amusement park basically become a part of the lives of its guests.
  24. You're good, this is important to all players.
