  1. Not sure. If it's still hanging out folded up in that secluded part of the parking lot, I'd assume that they'd open it again. They really take care of it well, I've rarely seen any downtime on that thing. Much better than that AXS Mixer ride that they had before.
  2. I heard it's getting a "lengthy rehab" and will be back next year. It was actually running at opening this season, coming off of that supposed "lengthy rehab". They got 1001 Nacht and Balloon Race their parts from Europe much faster than Power Surge, it seems.
  3. Nerd question, for anyone willing. Does anyone know what height Dæmonen's station and brake run are off of the ground? It looks like they're about six or seven meters high but I'm not sure.
  4. Right. Happens before the first launch. Got it. No wonder I've always missed it, I skip right to the drop of every on-ride video.
  5. Well, now, it's only a matter of time before the NoLimits community peer pressures the developers into including the Intamin wing coaster trains into a new update.
  6. Wait, is this the first time that Intamin's done a coaster with the sliding transfer table instead of the fork in the track? Finally, I can do that in NoLimits without feeling bad about it!
  7. Cyclone's not a Vekoma, it's an Arrow.
  8. ...and Skyrush-status. And every-other-coaster-that-pulls-5Gs-status. You'd actually be surprised as to how many there are.
  9. To add to this, for those who don't know - Gröna Lund is operated by Parks and Resorts Scandinavia, which also operates the nearby Aquaria aquarium, the Furuvik amusement park and zoo, the Kolmården amusement park and zoo, and Skara Sommerland.
  10. Tennessee Tornado for sure, but it's still an Arrow - very uncomfortable.
  11. Possibly. I'd be a bit disappointed but I'm not sure that I would feel any sort of disdain toward Rocky Mountain Construction, because they're in this business too. In fact, it would only motivate me to make my next design even better. If anything I'd be more upset with the park for not maintaining my coaster properly in the first place and forcing a complete reconstruction. But, once it opens, it's technically not my coaster anymore.
  12. Sorry, but why would they feel any sort of emotion at all, especially if the resulting new ride experience is drastically different? They made their money when they built the coaster initially, and moved onto the next one. It's not like Great Coasters and Gravity Group are going out of business, with M&V continuing to give Gravity Group plenty to play with in China as well as Great Coasters constructing their largest installation in their history there. You can't forget about Gravity Group's kid-sized coasters and that new one in Ireland either. Also, wasn't it Great Coasters who came in and re-tracked Thunder Run in this very park? Great Coasters might not be making many new installations lately but they are going to town with the upkeep of older wooden coasters.
  13. Those double downs look like they would be phenomenal in the back car.
  14. Every company in this industry matters - no matter how small, no matter which niche they cut. Business in this industry is business, whether you're selling Ferrari World their Flying Aces coaster or John Smith's Family Entertainment Center (made that one up) a Strike-U-Up game. Not everyone has to deal in millions of dollars, especially a business that's basically just getting off the ground. Contrary to popular belief, not every park is looking for an attraction that will blow their guests' minds inside out. Sometimes, the ride that fits the bill is the one that's the "safe bet", the one that guests will always like.
  15. That's the one disadvantage of having a coaster that runs over and interacts with guest areas - you can't do any major rehabilitation work without the public knowing about it. It's pretty tricky for places like the Universal Orlando parks that rely so heavily on a consistent guest experience. Something has to give!
  16. I want to have a nice lunch while riding Impulse, the trays are certainly large enough.
  17. It is kind of weird, it's not like Citywalk is a Downtown Disney sort of separate entity - every single guest that parks in the big garages has to go straight through Citywalk to get to either park. All Universal Orlando guests are basically a captive audience.
  18. To my understanding, Flying Turns has a kind of threshold of how slow or fast it should be going. If it goes out of that threshold at any point it's a no-go.
  19. Yep. Intamin's wing rider coaster is the same as B&M's wing coaster coaster, while Intamin's wing coaster coaster has the seats staggered in height a bit. Wing coaster rider coaster coaster wing rider.
  20. What about the Skyplex's height? Could Universal be going after the attraction because, when it would be built, would be able to be seen from inside their parks? EDIT: Whoops, missed that Joey brought that up earlier in the thread.
  21. I've been on it, and I don't agree because there is no painful jolt, and it's now one of my favorite coasters.
  22. Yep. It's "Catwoman Whip". Not "Catwoman's Whip". Just want to make that distinction.
  23. Yeah, I agree that the entry to the lift isn't painful. Yes, it's a bit of a quick jolt, but it isn't a bump.
  24. In fairness, Phantasialand and the Disney parks have slightly different demographics. Just because we're looking at potentially a world-class Intamin coaster and going gaga over it doesn't mean that will be better to everyone. The coasters in the Disney parks, with a few exceptions, are designed for insane mass appeal - low height restrictions all around, ride movements that won't make you sick, and the wonderful ability to take your stuff with you while you ride. Taron likely won't have any of those, but that's okay because it fits Phantasialand.
