I honestly have no clue what this is supposed to accomplish or do - so I pulled it. Frankly, this is quite weird.

Victory Kingdom China Construction

All those S&S rides were bought by the Happy Valley chain. We think it's an Xccelerator clone because how the support structure and layout look (who else makes a 100-foot tall arc with no supports?). -

Looks fantastic. The only thing I don't like is that your terrain has too many repeats. -
Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread

Yes, that is a very nice, thorough post... ...but that still won't stop me from making fun of the monotonous brake run. IN THE WORLD. -
Premier created the new trains as well as a new track design for use on Sky Rocket and the Yamaha coaster, and no one seemed to notice. The Skyloops have a vertical lift with an inverted crest followed by a 360-degree heart line roll. This doesn't even have a lift, it has a three-stage launch into a vertical twist. By your logic, every single roller coaster designed to fit in a narrow, long space has to be a Maurer Skyloop because anything else will be a "ripoff". There's a difference between "ripping off" and "competing". Also by your logic, every theme park fan site on the internet is a rip-off of Theme Park Adventure.

Thorpe Park Discussion Thread

Thorpe Park is acting childish. Doesn't B&M design the ride? Thorpe's creative department handles the theming for sure, but doesn't Thorpe submit their land plot and budget to a bunch of companies and selects their favorite design for the job? -
Intamin LSM Coaster (Blitz) [NL]
A.J. replied to KrazyT's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Just a quibble - the LSM propulsion on the Blitz coasters doesn't go all the way up the lift. The crest is completely gravity-powered. Other than that, looks great. -

Stupid Moves that Parks have made
A.J. replied to tribar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If they would have kept it, it would have ended up just like Six Flags America. Six Flags Ohio/WOA added so many major attractions in such short time, just like Six Flags America did when it was acquired - and Six Flags America wasn't able to invest in an original major attraction until Thomas Town in 2010. -

Nickelodeon Universe (MOA) Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rotoshakes seem to be a maintenance nightmare. Six Flags America had one, Knott's had one, and now MOA is getting rid of theirs. The ride isn't even fun. It's like a slow, clunky top spin that takes up too much space. A Sky Roller probably wouldn't fit in Tak Attack's plot (it's rectangular, the Sky Roller uses a circular one), but the new Sky Fly possibly could. I really can't think of any other rides that Nickelodeon Universe doesn't have that would fit in that kind of plot. -

When a cat sits at your first floor landing, and you put catnip at the top of the stairs, the cat will go to get their fix. You fill in the blanks. -
Honestly, I think a Giant Inverted Boomerang would be a pain in the [censored] to paint. Silverwood kept Deja Vu's original scheme when they installed it. New trains for Iron Wolf will most likely improve the experience. The Mid-Atlantic doesn't have a stand-up (EDIT: forgot about Green Lantern, but Apocalypse and Green Lantern are like little brother/big brother when it comes to intensity). As for Deja Vu, they obviously relocated it for a good reason. It's not like a Roller Skater or a regular boomerang. This is an absolutely massive roller coaster, and it takes a lot of money to take apart, load up, move, and reassemble. They need to do something about those deathtraps they call restraints. The original train they showcased didn't have anywhere near as much padding as the finished trains do today.

Hey, while we're at it, let's phone Fuji-Q and bring 'em in to put extra padding on the lap bars and add extra shoulder restraints! That would be great! All you would see in your on-ride photo would be your head sticking out of a black mess of restraint! Then, let's put catwalks along the entire length of the ride, including the twisty bits! That will make our rides safer! I mean, when Superman saves people from imminent fiery death, he clenches them in a choke hold as he flies away! We need to recreate that experience!

YES. YES. YES. YES. YES. Thanks, Derek, you made my day. I'm really excited for this ride. I don't care how long it takes them to build it, as long as its built right.
