  1. I usually have rituals /routines for both the start and end of my day at theme parks. At Kings Dominion I usually start out on i305 first unless it's down for some reason. After getting all the rides I can in the Safari Village, I head over to the rest of the park. The day will usually end in riding i305 a bunch of times before getting one last ride on Dominator before the park closes. At Busch Gardens Williamsburg, the first and last rides are usually on Loch Ness Monster since it's closest to the entrance.
  2. The park part is true, don't know about the Nimbyism part. It was supposed to be built in Haymarket, or right outside. Around the Leesburg-Warrenton area. I remember seeing the signs and banners that were hanging around everytime on our way to Kings Dominion. I believe it was going to be a colonial theme. EDIT: It does look like it was for a citizen uprising. Wow never knew about this so I had to look it up. Link. Shame both parks were canceled.
  3. Yeah I don't miss the sound of those brakes at all. It's still weird walking around that part of the park with Hypersonic not there anymore, even though it's been gone for about eight year now. I like how the people in the beginning of the video mention how quiet the ride is...then it hits the brake run.
  4. The latest new movie I saw was the recently released Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Pretty good film even though I never finished the first one. Also I found out they are making a spinoff of National Lampoon's Vacation. It's got a great cast too (Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Charlie Day and of course Chevy Chase and Beverly D Angelo). It appears America's favorite family fun park will be closed forever and Rusty and his family will visit one last time. I hope we see Marty Moose again!
  5. "Under My Umbrella"-Incubus
  6. Mine is one of my favorite pictures I took when I visited Hersheypark two months ago.
  7. The ride is coming along very nicely and so far it actually looks pretty cool being next to Apollo's. I was a bit skeptical about the location at first but now it doesn't looks so bad. Just wait till next year when the ride is complete and all the trees next to Apollo's lift have leaves grown in, it'll be cool to see the trains while you're in the parking lot.
  8. My internet has been cutting on and off the past couple days. It'll be working fine for a while, then it'll go down for 15-30 minutes, maybe even longer. This will be the third time I've had to call Comcast.
  9. ^^Or smoke weed, it'll make the wait go by faster. On a serious note I tend to just talk to my friends in line or other people. I also tend to take pictures of the ride I'm waiting for or other near by rides. If it comes down to it and there isn't really anything else to do while I wait, I'll just check my FB or Instagram to kill some time. Too bad there's no more queues similar to Manta SWO that already keep you occupied while waiting...
  10. ^Not really sure when the ride was actually neutered. But I will say the loop does feel faster if you're riding in the front compared to other inverts I've been on (I wonder if the zero car has something to with it). As for the noise it's fairly quiet and you can tell it's filled with sand which is a shame. With a coaster this size, if it had the classic B&M roar like Great Bear or Montu, it would make this ride more intimidating IMO.
  11. More footage of Alpengeist in it's prime. Check out how fast it goes through the MCBR! And some Drachen Fire footage...
  12. "Your Disease"-Saliva
  13. Back when Alpengeist used to haul ass and didn't try to make you go deaf climbing the lift hill.
  14. I remember seeing some empty exhibits at ZooAmerica a few months ago. Looks like they'll finally have use for them now.
  15. I think most people are upset at the fact it's a clone and nothing original that we'd expect from BGW. However if it's a fun ride and it brings more people to the park, then I don't see the problem with this ride being installed. After all BGW isn't trying impress just us "coaster enthusiasts".
  16. The headrests with the on-board speakers on the side ruins the view. The audio wasn't even working when I rode it last year...
  17. You see a Boomerang and a GIB right next to each other.
  18. "Lhabia"-Deftones
  19. I have nothing against Peyton Manning at all but I find this Nationwide commercial very annoying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipLjylmbr_E
  20. My love for roller coasters started very early when I was probably 3. I used to watch America's Greatest Roller Coasters in 3D all the time and I was just fascinated even more when I would see them in person. Even after conquering Phoenix, and Rock N' Roller Coaster at the age of 6, my love for riding them didn't start until almost a teenager.
  21. "Deliver Me"-Parkway Drive
  22. Almost never. My home park is SFA and my last visit was two summers ago, and that was my first visit in almost 10 years. One reason I stopped going was that at the time, the park was going downhill and I had no desire to deal with the same BS I had to my last couple visits before. However my friends and I decided to take a trip since it had been a while and we heard the park was improving which I certainly has. I was going to visit this year before the season ended but I ended up going to Kings Dominion instead since I usually consider that my "home park". It's a little longer of a drive but definitely worth it.
  23. The HH side may have cooler layout, but one reason I like CF better is the intense curve after the second Immelmann. That part alone was one of my favorite moments on any coaster.
  24. "The Warmth"-Incubus
