  1. First track piece of the loop is in place! Holy crap! Look at how tall the support next to Lisebergsbanan is, this thing will be gigantic!
  2. Awesome! I'm assuming the two thicker supports will be used for this section:
  3. ^ I don't think we'll se construction for yet for some time, last year they didn't start to put up the new slides until May. Edit: I just saw that the slide is going to open on memorial day, so construction should start soon.
  4. Judging by how tall the zero-g-roll is, the loop must be HUGE when finished. Can't wait!
  5. ^ Actually they're not that expansive, as a lot of people seems to think. A standard Tornado 60 (the ones who just do a turn, drop down, and go straight out into the pool) without a lift belt is around $2 million. Any family slide, despite the brand, is going to cost that amount. I would hardly compare it to a B&M ride. If I were to guess I would say that they chose to have a lift hill, and therefore went with the small version to keep the cost down, similar to the Phoenix Wet'n'Wild. Still, even the smallest of water parks goes for the big version, I don't think they should have skipped out. Also they are probably a bit careful no to invest to much in the park until they see how the new competition with Cowabunga Bay turns out. The experience will be quite different though with the different shape, and added weight. Lot's of parks have both Tornados and Boomerangos.
  6. Would be really cool if it were, but the bar is pretty freaking high to top a megalite. The only thing I don't really like with LR is that some of the transitions seem weird and old school.
  7. Just throwing it out there, but could it be for theming?
  8. Why on earth would they add the small Tornado version to this park?
  9. Awesome photos! The photos showing the S&S tower are unique, since it lack's it's "hat".
  10. Slide assembly action! Bowl slide entrance Looks like it'll be the smaller bullet bowl Some pipelines For the Tornado wave/Tantrum slide Looks great! Source
  11. Is that confirmed or just a rumour? Village Roadshow said they were considering bringing in some slides from Wet'n'wild Sydney to the park. Now I don't think they will do a big-ass tower like those in Sydney, but maybe a Tornado wave. Also the park's Facebook page have been full with people bitching about the lack of a conveyor for the rattler so I'm assuming this will get one. This would be great: Or it will just be a standard Tornado and nothing more.
  12. Two more photos from today! The worlds first Magicone is about to be assembled! This will be the last big complex of the park. It will be similar to one of my all time favorite Polin complex: Source
  13. The slide pieces are on site for the new drop slides in Silver Dollar City's water park. Looks like they are from Whitewater. Source

  15. ^ Thank you, that looks very interesting!
  16. It looks like it will have a really cool color scheme so far. I love yellow! I don't know if this is a mistake or what. It's hard to say, it could be the actual ride height, but on the bigger Cedar Fair rides the actual height you are on at the top is around 250 feet if I remember correctly, so they could also be meaning that. Keep in mind that these rides are also pulling in a lot of visitors, plus it gives the park a big icon attraction that can be seen from far in the distance. Yeah I'm also a bit surprised, but I love Mondial in general, so I'm happy to see more of these sold. I would imagine that this would be a 3rd generation, since the ones for Carowinds and KD were improved, and it has been two years since they were installed. Some improvements since then must have been made. I could imagine that the awesome looking light package for this rides would be one of the main reasons (along with capacity) for going with the Windseeker. I have never been on one but I would probably still prefer Star Flyers ride wise.
  17. I hope that picture shows up again soon, cause I really want to see it!
  18. I forgot to say, but this ride is by far the worst on my list. Such a waste of an awesome looking ride, that had all the potential to be awesome!
  19. That actually looks like Proslide's version of the Constrictor. It uses small diameter pipeline tube, then it becomes bigger and with a tight helix. Interesting.
  20. Sad news, my fiancé wrote yesterday to Sascha at Intamin and asked about a conversion from old to new restraints on existing trains. The trains using the new lap bars have more angled seats, and the distance between the seats (in width, not length) is bigger to fit the new lap bars. In theory a conversion is possible, but no park would ever make the big investment it would take to retrofit them, as you would have to remodel the whole upper train. But on the plus side, lap bar only for the new Intamin rides!
  21. Here's my top 10, some changes have been made this year! 1. Piraten - still the best in the world for me, nothing else beats it! 2. Expedition Geforce - Not much needs to be said here, amazing ride, but not as strong ejector as the megalite. 3. Insane - One of my absolute favorites, I can marathon this ride 30 times like no other. 4. Speed Monster - I got a new appreciation for it this summer, owning a season pass. It just have everything. 5. Stealth - Best launch in the world, awesome air on the top hat. Otherwise not much. 6. Black Mamba - Awesome ride + awesome theme = world class coaster. 7. Juvelen - the big surprise this year! It's such an amazingly fun ride, and well worthy of it's 7th place. 8. Blue Fire - Although tame, the interesting layout and the amazingly smooth ride with the freedom of the trains make it a top 10. 9. Krake - I'm not a big fan of B&M coasters, but this one is pure fun, along with a gorgeous setting and theme. 10. Jetline - old, powerful and perfect!
  22. No, don't do that. Yes, do it this way. Also, I remember that you were 17 years old, did you have a birthday recently?
  23. Okay people, remember to be honest now! No favoring coasters because the park was nice, no hating on coaster because the park was bad. No rating down coasters because you want it below your top coaster and so on.... it would be nice to see a new coaster on top of the list.
