  1. Update! I've heard that the ride will only have one train. Still it has a switch track, so they should be able to add another one later, if they need. Source
  2. Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, I see!
  3. Just to be clear, what is so funny with DP? (what does it mean)
  4. Some more info: Name: COBRA Opening: June 6th Height difference: 11m / 37 feet Length: 116m / 381 feet Duration: ca. 20 seconds Raft capacity: 4 people cloverleaf Capacity: 500 people/h Investment: 2,4 million USD Height limit: 120cm / 48 inches Height of the wave: ca 13 meter / 43 feet Waterflow: 19 m3/minute (1140 m3/h) Manufacturer: Proslide. It says from the USA on their website, but I'm guessing they will update it to Canada when the press people finds out about it. Still no word if it's the standard Tornado wave, but it looks very much like it. Also, given the size of investment, there is pretty much no way it will have a belt for the rafts.
  5. Yeah that's my thought exactly! looks just like the one my dad have.
  6. It is a Proslide after all! I would have been glad if it was a King Cobra, they are awesome, but I am a little bit more pleased with this! The only stats I have is that the name is Cobra, but I expect Skara Sommarland to release more during they day. In the mean time, here's some photos. This photo makes it look a bit weird, as it dosen't look like a standard Tornado Wave, I remember seeing a model of something more similar to a "cobra", maybe it's that one they are getting. It looks a bit more like a big banked curve, as opposed to a wall. Photo below, it's the one to the left I'm speaking of. The regular Tornado wave is the one to the right of it, for you who don't know. Whichever of them it is, I expect them to paint a cobra on the inside of it. I'm also hoping for a conveyor belt, but I'm not expecting one. Source Sourc
  7. I love the old style Intamin drop rides, more than the new gyro drops, so this is awesome.
  8. The coaster looks great and all, but this complex is totally awesome! It's probably my new favorite pipeline complex. Source
  9. Awesome! That was really fast. Can't wait to see the final look of this one!
  10. Good point! I thought of it for marketing the name "giga" coaster though. They have, Mystery Castle, Phantasialand is better than any S&S tower I've been on There's one at Lotte World as well, but that's a really small one.
  11. Foundation of the ship ride. Another angle Done! Foundations for the family towers Source
  12. This! Not to mention their light-package.
  13. It's not CP, but it is pretty bass-ass! Source
  14. That looks awesome so far!
  15. It's going to be really interesting to see how this one turns out. I can imagine Intamin using the new track style, but also after the innovation with the supports on the main lift for Skyrush and I305, I can see them using a brad new support structure. When they are going over Shambhala's height it would be weird if they didn't go for the 300' mark. Wonder if the drop towers is actually going to happen or not.
  16. Believe me when I say that is complete bullcrap, even ridiculous that someone would start spreading something like that.
  17. They never said they wouldn't do hypers again, but after Tatsu was built they said they would never again spend that amount of money on a single ride (21 million dollars). Since then X-fligt is about as expensive as they have gone in recent years (15 million dollars). It seems to me that they are very focused right now on adding cost efficient rides like Full Throttle and Superman (6 million dollars each) and the RMC rides (they are about 10 million dollars each). They could probably do some big-ass investment for Great Adventure if they saw the need for it, but the recent years focusing on new cost efficient rides have shown to be very successful.
  18. Is the boomerang still in the park, or has it been sold/scrapped? I'm having a hard time finding out. Also, I'm just gonna write what everyone on this board is thinking: The new owners should get RMC to overhaul Rampage, and while waiting until RMC have time for it, they should add a Megalite.
  19. ^^ The speed through the corkscrew at 2:10 is AWESOME!
  20. They are saying that because they are following what Alan Schilke said, that he consider the steel wheels to be what makes it a wooden coaster.
  21. Four new photos! It's a bit strange that they just stopped construction on the play structure earlier, surely there must be more theming on it (on top of the big towers for an example)? Source Source
  22. New update! Splash boats. Looks like the theme is great! The station is taking shape. It will look something like this. Another angle. Lucky test dummies! Awesome photo! The supersplash station is starting to look great. Source
  23. The first Intamin ride has arrived, and it's the 10-inversion coaster. Soon we will probably know if it will be the only one, or if the jetski and water coaster is also coming. Same paint job as this one (which looks pretty great if you ask me): Source
