Here's one we took of Nitro on January 3rd, closing day of Holiday in the Park.

"All rides" don't have a finite life cycle. For example... I have no doubt that if Cedar Point is around in 100 years, Blue Streak, will still be running. The same goes for basically any classic wood coaster. They never get removed unless the park closes (and please nobody say anything about Thunder Road or some ride from the 70's, I'm talking about real classics... 50 plus years old). The same goes for some steel coasters too. For example... I'm sure SooperDooperLooper will run as long as that park is in business. I don't think any coaster at Cedar Point besides Blue Streak falls into this category but I still don't see any coasters besides the two I mentioned being removed in the foreseeable future. With the majority of rides I think your post is 100% accurate of course but I think anything beyond those two is far into the future.

What "space" exactly does Corkscrew "take up"? It goes over the midway for the most part or occupies less than 10 feet along the side of the walkway. The station area is basically the only space it takes up. I hope they never remove Corkscrew because even though it sucks it looks awesome over the midway and kids really seem to like it. Mine Ride and Mean Streak are the only coasters I think it makes any sense to remove. That being said I won't complain if Mean Streak runs forever because not only do we enjoy it and it's short lines but I love watching enthusiasts constantly whine and bitch about how bad it is.

Great point, removing Wicked Twister would free up boat loats of room. I'm sure removing that would absolutely allow them to replace it with "a non-inverting launch coaster a la Verbolten". Also there's no chance in hell they're removing Wicked Twister any time soon. If they wanted that they would just build it because they have plenty of room, if they wanted to remove a coaster to free up space why would they remove the coaster that takes up less space than any adult coaster in the park? Especially a thrilling, 200+ foot coaster that's barely over 10 years old? lol

Valravn looks awesome but I can't get over Raptor's new paint. It looks awesome, I really hope they get rid of those awful orange lights and use the same kind Gatekeeper has, then that Midway would just look insane at night.

The only thing we need to "retract" is your insane post saying that Gemeni is rough.

Mystery Mine is flawless... That being said it wouldn't for Cedar Point at all. It's a low capacity ride and the thing that makes it awesome is the theming which Cedar Fair wouldn't maintain. If they were adding a Eurofighter (doubtful) that wouldn't need to remove anything large to make room, that's the entire point of a Eurofighter. I would think the next coaster on the chopping block would have to be Mean Streak, I don't dislike the ride but an RMC or even a large B&M would be a big upgrade. The only other coaster I could see going anywhere is Mine Ride but if they remove it they should replace it with a family coaster. If they ever removed Gemeni though I would be legitimately pissed off, regardless of what they replaced it with (simply because no matter what they add they could be creative and add it without removing anything).

Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with you on this. I'm sure a lot of people would be upset if Gemeni was removed... Not enthusiasts, but families with kids as its a fun, family friendly ride and the racing aspect makes it stand out from the other coasters in the park. Rides like Iron Dragon, Gemeni, Blue Streak and Mine Ride serve an important purpose in the park. The park needs to have something to offer people who have graduated from small kids rides but aren't ready for looping coasters and hyper coasters yet. With the other additions they recently made to the Gemeni midway they've done a great job making that area of the park cater to this crowd. I think replacing it would be a mistake, especially with another inverting coaster. Plus 1.3 million riders is a crap ton of riders, especially when you consider the fact that it's not on early entry and doesn't race when it's not the peak summer season or a busy weekend. The short lines have a lot to do with the ride's insane capacity. Seriously why would anyone want to get rid of Gemeni? Is there anyone on earth that doesn't enjoy that ride?

I recommend that you go to Knoebels.

It's very easy to get to the park by car from either city. Less than 2 hours either way, probably significantly less.

I've only bought a Fastlane Plus in all my visits to Cedar Point and we always go on Holiday weekends. Waiting in line really isn't the end of the world, and if you're there for early entry you'll never wait more than 20 minutes for anything.

Hey guys, remember about 20 years ago when everyone said the park was "just about out of room"? And then remember how since then they've built Millennium Force, Wicked Twister, Top Thrill Dragster, Gatekeeper, Maverick, Valravn, Maxair, Skyhawk, Shoot the Rapids and tons of other huge rides? Good times, good times.

Don't worry if this was the forecast during Holiday in the Park it would probably be open.

If you don't like Maxair then you're a bad, bad person with bad opinions, your taste in rides is bad and you should feel bad. BTW I'm obviously kidding, except about the part where your taste is bad.

Yeah but we won't have to worry about that. I'm sure Six Flags will at least do the minimum amount of painting every 10 years or so to ensure that the ride looks semi respectable. Lol sorry I'll stop screwing around now.

The Motel 6 Sandusky Milan or the Super 8 Sandusky Milan are both really good for the price. They're immediately off the Ohio Turnpike on the Cedar Point exit. There are cheaper hotels in the area but those are very affordable (and very clean). If we go the cheap route we usually go with a national brand as we assume they have SOME standards they need to adhere to. We stayed at an awful independent budget hotel in Orlando once and we'll never make that mistake again.

When I'm at a park and tired from a long road trip I normally just go ride a water ride of some kind, that'll wake you up. Keep calm and SKLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH on...

You'd be surprised, I never had a problem with wait times at Cedar Points because of how well they keep the lines moving. There's also a good atmosphere in the lines... It's not uncommon for beachballs to make an appearance in the Maverick line for example. Plus there's always Fastlane Plus.

I'd rather wait an hour for Gatekeeper when they're running 3 trains and dispatching with ridiculous frequency and tons of ops than 30 minutes for Superman at SFA in the station for the front row because they're running one train. Honestly I never found Six Flags America operators to be that bad, they're just understaffed and always running one train.

My honest opinion on this coaster is that I completely, 100% don't care. I don't mean that in a complainy way, I just know Green Lantern at Magic Mountain sucked donkey balls and X2 sucks donkey balls so while I know this is a different manufacturer and It's very possible that it won't suck donkey balls there's also a good chance that it will suck plenty of donkey balls. That being said I don't particularly care either way, we already have a tremendous coaster collection, we get awesome new additions basically every year culminating with Holiday in the Park which is awesome in every possible way and if this coaster does happen to be a dud then I really don't care because between Kingda Ka, El Toro, Nitro, Zumanjaro, Batman, Bizarro, Superman, Skull Mountain, Sky Screamer and plenty of other great rides it's not like there's any shortage of things to do. If the coaster turns out to be good then that's even better.

That building would look great with Christmas lights on it during their Christmas event. ... Oh
