The Official "TPR Europe Trip 2008" Thread!

Do those self-operated rides have someone to watch to make sure some jackhole doesn't just stay on it holding up the line or are people generally good about it or are there just fist fights when people aren't nice about taking turns? Thanks a bunch and another great report Robb! -

From that Bandit mid-train picture I now know I must get on it. For some sadistic reason when a wooden coaster is a spine buster I seem to enjoy it somehow. Great TR again Robb! -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

My next one I heard (or read) VERY recently in a roller coaster enthusiast forum: "Men in Line for Flight of Fear: Man 1: Is this ride safe? Man 2: Well, people have died on it, besides that sure! Man 1: How Many? Man 2: 6 Man 1: Wow, that's a lot for a Coaster like this! Man 2: I know, you can expect at least 1-2 deaths, that's pretty standerd. But 6 is one away from the 7 deaths limit! " -

Sorry its the superman in SFA, Maryland so MF style track against arrow/vekoma style track EDIT: I may be wrong in which coaster is Ninja in SFMM maybe I'm talking so I'll say it was like Ninja in SFoG to clarify. -

^There was a news story down here in SC about a little girl who heard her mom screaming and peeked into the bedroom and saw a man on top of her and called the police, sufficed to say it was an awkward police report. Your story reminded me of that sorry it's a bit off topic -

I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself. It's not guaranteed, but the parks will likely change owners, not close down. Now the parks' quality might decline, but I doubt we'll see the parks actually closed. Who knows though. BTW, I don't think those coasters could fit at other parks. Oh I know it 99% won't happen and I know they are all fit into the landscape there, aside from maybe Alpengeist, but I was just having some fun thoughts I had to share EDIT: I found the "Crazy Super Speculation Topic maybe I can move it there -
^^Thats kinda like Tennessee Tornado as well and it is a cool pre-lift "show" (for fanatics that is )

When I was at SFoG (no not a batman story) a few weeks ago I was in line for Goliath watching that Top 10 Six flags coasters thing on the TV and they show SM; ROS, but they show the first drop and then its off and onride footage are clearly a different track, what looks like Ninja from SFMM to me. So anyway this convo happened. Guy: That ride is huge (after seeing first drop) AND it goes upside down, WE HAVE TO RIDE THAT! Me: That ride doesn't go upside down that footage is of a different coaster, see the way the track is made up and how its different? Guy: What are you talking about! The tracks are both red and everyone knows looping coasters have different tracks for drops and loops! Me: (turning around rolling eyes) Yeh I guess your right... -

I've only been to BGE but if they were scrapped by inbev then heres what needs to happen. Send Loch Ness to KD Send Alpengeist to Hard Rock Send BBW to Carowinds or SFA Send Apollos to Dollywood (One hyper would comple that park IMO ^-^) This take over may end up sucking for the parks but I honestly could care less about the crappy beer. -

Final Destination 3 And Roller Coaster
dammie16@vt.edu replied to hopenui's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The reason I watch, and like, the FD movies is to see completely ridiculous, gory deaths that occur from a set of very STRONG coincidences. If one takes the coaster scene literally then there is a lot of things this trilogy would turn said one away from, heres a little list. Bathrooms Coasters Highways Planes Streets Farms Hospitals Dentists Paris Weight Rooms Tanning Salons 4th of July Barbeques Hardware Stores Subways Fire Escapes Apartments Computers Kitchens Train Tracks Elevators So if you take the movie seriously then you should now be afraid of everything on this list. If you don't check one of these then tell yourself why and apply it to the others. The End now go ride some coasters, maybe not vekomas though they don't crash they may hurt. -

So I went to Dollywood yesterday and a women in line for Mystery Mine who had never ridden a coaster before, talking to her son or whatever the kid was said the following with my input as well, Women: "Well coasters are so dangerous thats why I've never ridden them." Me: "Coasters are actually extremely safe and there have been VERY few accidents that were ride malfunction, it is usually a rider who does something wrong." Women: "Well what about that one in Georgia that threw the kid off into the support and killed him? That sounds like a bad restraint to throw a kid out." Me: "Umm that kid hopped a fence into a restricted area and walked under the train......there was PMW everywhere!" Women: "PMW?" Yeh so that is another example of poor rumors, there was more convo after that but it switched to what kind of drops MM had lol.

That poem was amazing. I haven't ever followed an update thread from the start like I did with this one (Europe TR has popped my cherry!) but I had read through some comments so the poem still spoke to me! Keep up the good work Robb but make sure you have fun first then update later, unless you run out of time then just have fun and don't update!
