Second post of the night for my Intamin hyper twister.... Monsoon! It twists through valleys and trees and is just a lot of fun. It features a mid course stop-launch and gets some decent air on its last two crests! Enjoy! P.S. If you dl'd my coaster Chrono this one is more realistic I promise! Update: Sorry for the long delay but I had class this morning! I fixed the lift hill, got some of the pumping out of that turn into MCB, got rid of red G's in the sea serpent, and I think that is it. Note: I only rerode in the front so if you find reds let me know. Oh almost forgot, got rid of the death trees View from first drop, not much to see...which is the fun! It is hidden in the hills. You can see its twisty nature, It is not doing what you think it is here! Monsoon.nltrack Monsoon V2

Ok so this is my first round of coaster contest videos and was impressed! Here's my rundown. Kevin: I think the opening was perfect, and not too long. It was a change of pace and the shots were just awesome. Good music too. Barry: Funny video, I like the on going Elissa stalking. The music was good and the shots were good. Dave: The commercial was funny and it was unexpected, which is good. The footage was really good, I laughed a lot during this video. Darren: Very funny video, well made I liked it. Pam & Brian: I did like this video until the last minute which I couldn't sit through, I had to skip to see if there was more park footage. I thought it was too much of the camping, I was sad because you were capturing the park so well.

The only time Mean Streak was "Painful" rough was when I sat in the back. The front and middle were just ordinary woodie to me, vibrations and bumps but nothing painful. Edit: Meant to also say I've made a pretty popular topic here, though popular for hating this ride! -

Got some interesting replies here. I think another thing that made it better for me was the fact that there was no line. I rode it three times, middle, front, then back, all within about 30 minutes probably not even that. Any ride I can get around a bunch of times in a short period helps me like it more (Kind of like the ever so short Superman Flight at GAdv. that I got to ride 5 times without getting off). P.S. This was the year Maverick was being built so MS was the only ride back there. -
I went to WDW when I was 3 but I don't remember much. I got hooked when my family went to Hershey when I was 5 and all I remember was I had a claim to fame saying "I rode SDL 5 times when I was 5" The next time we went to a park it was GAdv. I believe and I was too short to ride some of the big guns but I REALLLLLY wanted to. That yearning was fullfilled a year later at, once again, Hershey park where I could ride Great Bear, Sidewinder, and Wildcat. I've been hooked ever since.

well unfortunately, due to the fact this could pull some great replies, my question was answered by the third poster. I totally forgot about that trim on the first drop. If you would like to bash this ride feel free I won't defend it because opinion is opinion. -

No need to call me a freak thank you. On your second point, I did rate Pheonix a 10 and Mean Streak a 7 so I do know that it is better. I never said it was the best woodie just I thought it was good. To poster above me thank you for the only useful answer so far, I forgot about that trim brake on the drop and now that I think back on it did kind of take away from the ride. I will be reducing my rating of this ride now that you reminded me of that. -
I have read all over these forums that Mean Streak is a garbage or terrible ride. Now my experience was really good on this ride (A little rough in the back I will admit), but I also admit I have fairly low standards and it has been awhile since I rode it as well (2006). So my question is to the people here who have ridden MANY MANY more coasters then I have...What is wrong with this ride that makes people hate it? What have I forgotten about it that makes it this way? Trim brakes? Boring? Thanks you guys I really want to be enlightened about this coaster as well as what I should look for in my future of coaster riding. P.S. I have looked at the trip reports for cedar point and couldn't find my answer. I also don't own CE volume 1 so I can't say from that either. Thanks guys!

/off topic/ I love mean streak and I never understand what the problem people have with it, I have sat in the back and it is rough, but maybe it s just I don't remember something that make people hate it. (It has lots of trim brakes?) /on topic/ I have never been to SFMM but really want to go in the future, I will always take quality over quantity but I loved all of CP's coasters and MF is by far the best engineered coaster I have ever rode on.

Longest wait - 2 hrs for MF front row end of the night, but I got to ride with just me and my cousin rather then getting shoved to another car, which they do after the park closes for those who don't know, because he saw my VT hat and was like, "HEY I went to VT just wait there you an ride in front!" So that was awesome. Worst wait - any rapids ride ever /off topic/ Funniest wait - a women got line jumped by one of those, "I just went to the bathroom my friend is right there" people. To make a long yet funny story short, she argued with guards about getting to get right on the ride because of her tragic line jumping experience for so long that she ended up going after me and my family when she was like at least 4 rafts in front of us. I LOL'd for so long. P.S. That was my only good rapids ride line experience lol.

Honestly, I would be more concerned with some random group of immature teens or drunk anybodies who decide it would be funny to try and wing something at an on coming coaster. A story from near my home town comes to mind where on a parkway about 20 minutes from me where a group of like 4 teens decided to drop a frozen turkey off an overpass and it smashed the windshield and killed a lady. I just imagine the ride like "WOO the highway bridge!!! YEH OW A ROCK!" I say go with the nets idea. -
Introducing.......Chrono!!! This is one massive inverted coaster that rides at insane velocities and extreme heights. It also is proof that the mythical cliff trees DO exist. It is launched at 110 mph into a 354 ft. Immelman. The loop is a whopping 287 ft. and is shaped as oddly as if twisted in timeeeee. Total length is 8961.46 ft. I only found one set of Red G's in the turn into the brakes and try as I may I couldn't fix them. If you find more please let me know! Enjoy and comment! Being drastically analytical and mean is okay! Chris The opening helix and serpent loop make for a cool looking heart on a plate affect. The time warped loop and some of the mythical cliff trees! A view of the front and back end of the coaster. Chrono.nltrack This is the Time Warped inverted....Chrono!

I want to first say, Holy CRAP I wish I was that good with CAD my freshmen year in college. Luckily I'm a mining engineer and don't need CAD so the C's I got do to lack of skill in my CAD classes is ok. On topic: I think the idea is awesome and I would definetly ride a coaster like that. Here is my suggestion. Why don't you try making it 1 or 2 seats aside. The ride concept would be the same but the weight would be severely reduced. Keep up your great work and in 10 or so years I will be ranking STC rides in my top 10!!

Great coaster! Nice and smooth. -
Introducing the second coaster in my line up. My first woodie Tiger! It has a couple of red G's and not so much airtime but I aimed for speed more then air. The main feature is the third and main drop into the banked saddle. She is also real nice to look at. Sorry for the slow end into the brakes! Highest Drop: 212 ft Drop Angle: 65 degrees Length: 6225 ft Thanks for riding! On top of the lift. Curved drop after block brakes. This is the main section of the coaster. Tiger.nltrack This is the track enjoy!
