  3. Those were my guesses on what could be being built. I am torn on which way the park could be going. I have heard rumors on both

  4. Two possibilities here: 1. They're going to announced a full Titan Track conversion for Timber Wolf (I know it got reprofiled in 2018, how's it been running?) 2. They're going to do an RMC Iron Horse conversion of all the bathrooms!

  5. Cool to see the full loop in a proslide tornado. Sad to see a waterpark closing though

  6. They bought SFStL’s carousel and finished the refurbishment, it’s a big brag!

  7. By all accounts I've seen, the waterpark and amusement park are the most successful parts of this boondoggle. I could see Triple Five defaulting and the whole complex being sold to a more seasoned park operator with the sole intention of operating the rides/slides and turn the mall into an Amazon warehouse. It already looks like one.

  8. Just think, only a few more years before we all complain about rough rides on The Beast and say it needs retracking. Then, a couple shameless fanboys will mention RMC, and the other shameless fanboys will scorn them and call for justice. Others will compromise and suggest whatever X company came out with their newest topper track at IAPPA should work on The Beast, but keep the layout the same. Ten years of mixed roughness reviews later, The Beast will get some new track work, flaunt a couple degrees added to a banking turn on social media, and we'll all be talking about how it's the best ride ever for one whole season. People will come from near and far to ride it. (Kentucky) Until... the cancer returns with one comment similar to: "Man, all of my rides on The Beast last season were 'epic zen rides' during the Coaster Smash Bash Marathon Buffet Trivia Back Stage Scavenger Social ERT Awkward Fest 4th Anniversary Event, but this time I sat in row 25, seat 14, far left side, and it was brutal." Long live the endless cycle of the wooden coaster.

  9. To be fair, the sale itself came out of nowhere to begin with. Though highly unlikely, There would be nothing stopping Prologis and Cedar Fair from another agreement to amend their lease to allow termination earlier than the 2 years currently required as the bare minimum…

  10. RMC have been known for refurbishing older coasters that no longer ran well. Who will RMC the RMC’s?

  11. Just got back to my hotel after my first trip to Holiday World. A full report will follow, but here are some bullet points: -Legend, Raven, and Voyage are all insanely good rides for different reasons, despite the roughness on the first and last of those. All have found a place in my Top lists (see signature). I regretted skipping rerides only 15 minutes down the road, but the extreme heat combined with the not-exactly-smooth wooden coasters had given me a recurring headache. -Water coasters are absolutely bonkers! This was my first time going on any of them, and holy shit. Airtime on a water ride! -This is going to be probably a me-only problem, but the water park needs more for solo-traveling adults who are mostly introverted. It's weird getting on a big group-tube with a bunch of randos, sorry not sorry. There's plenty of kids slides and big-tube slides, but there are only three solo slides and they are all super short. -SHADE! After my day at KK yesterday, this day was so much better on my body despite the hills because of the ample shade (excepting the long walk back to Thunderbird). -Anyone who says KK is an objectively better park than this is out of their mind.

  12. Those shin guards really hurt RMCs for me. They make me feel paralyzed from the waist down. Having recently ridden both SV and IG, it's a near tie for me. But I'd give IG a slight bump due to making me literally run like a kid to ride it again. It's just so damn fun. I also hate the final hops on SV.

  13. ^ Prime example as to why parks don't listen to or value the opinion of enthusiast.. 13 years since the park has had a new coaster and you'd be "torn" if it's something new and innovative? While still rearing from a pandemic in a climate when parks are still recovering and recruiting workers and visitors? But here you are, being torn because it's not what, a type of coaster you want??
