Noobitizer
I was wondering if anyone has saved files of the 4D roller coasters. Arrow had them on their website before it went away, there were 4 models. The one im most interested in is the one they call Delerium. Any help would be most appreciated. -Charles ADMIN EDIT: Please create more descriptive topic titles
DarkStitch626
Ah you mean Delerium , Quantium, and Mayhem. I have the pictures somewhere but Delerium was the second tallest at 127ft and had a 60 degree drop.
Gnome
I remember those, I wish S&S would update thier fugly looking site and put in those models or new updated models back in.
robinschroder
Look what I found... Delirium: http://web.archive.org/web/20021021193910/http://www.arrowdynamics.com/products/4D/delirium/index.php (1 thumbnail image missing from this page but large version works, layout and profile links work) Mayhem: http://web.archive.org/web/20021021194314/http://www.arrowdynamics.com/products/4D/mayhem/index.php (nothing missing from this page, layout and profile links work) Quantum: http://web.archive.org/web/20021021200131/http://www.arrowdynamics.com/products/4D/quantum/index.php (1 thumbnail image and its large version missing from this page, layout and profile links work) Octophobia: http://web.archive.org/web/20021021195557/http://www.arrowdynamics.com/products/4D/octophobia/index.php (no images work on this page at all - but I guess there's some sort of figure of 8 involved, and a frightening one at that!) General Overview: http://web.archive.org/web/20030312103820/www.arrowdynamics.com/products/4D/index.php (Links to other pages are a bit hit-and-miss as this was archived much later than the other pages) Rendering of Delirium as found on the archived S&S Arrow site! coasterguy618
They all look pretty cool.If they were made, I would want them to be bigger and have more elements.
robinschroder
^ Well, in many respects X @ SFMM is a scaled-up version of Delirium with roughly the same elements (albeit in a slightly different order) and the addition of a 90 degree drop and a front flip, so in a way your wish has already come true! Noobitizer
Sweet, thanks a lot. Thats a pretty gnarley bunch of coasters. Nice find, much appreciated. -Charles
Gnome
Actually, except for the one pictured above, I didn't think that most of thier designs were all that great, but it would have been sweet for X to of had that tunnel where that element comes in on X, but w/e. sfmmFREAK
in one of the concept videos for x, didn't it have a tunnel? or am i thinking of delirium?
MF310ryb
I have to say after riding X opening year I am glad SFI purchased the scaled up version. Their four concepts look good but X is by far the best. The first drop blew me away with the face down dive and the rotation too upside down. I wish we had a 4-D at SFGADV. Carnage
^ Are you kidding? SFI forcing arrow to go big is what caused the project to cost so much more than expected, not to mention the maintenance problems that they had. Building big pretty was pretty much the main cause that made Arrow go bankrupt. They could have built a modest sized one, worked out the kinks, and then gone bigger. The novelty of the size of X wears off after it starts to smash your head between the restraints.
benzo41190
I remember when many people thought that X would have a pretzile loop. When really, they saw a picture of Vipers pretzile loop and thought it was part of X
DATman
^^except for the fact that the restraints end at your shoulders...
Carnage
^ A mere techicality. It still can beat the living hell out of you. Especially if you're in an outside seat.
Noobitizer
Really? I never found the outside to be rough, though I have felt greater G-forces, as well as greater wind factor. But nothing to bothersome, I think the outside seats are fine, rome for improvement, but fine.
DATman
^It really depends. Some days it can be really smooth, and other days it can beat the living crap out of you. Stupid X, can't you decide wether you want to be smooth or rough???
