Nrthwnd
^ Understood. But I, myself, would never (well, hardly ever) put a vegetarian burger in this thread. I want MEAT in my burger, not some kind of a fungus! FATBURGER menu in Beirut city centre. Edited August 5, 2016 by Nrthwnd
Nrthwnd
A new burger I tried today, on Victoria Day, celebrated in Canada and the Commonwealth. At one of our local Burger Kings... The "Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger". With HP Sauce. fyi, HP = Houses of Parliament. Meaning supposedly, that this is a sauce served at Buckingham Palace. And approved of, by The Queen Herself! Anyway, the burger was good. And I would easily have it again, when I went there, again. Our HP Sauce is like the US' A1 Steak Sauce. Not much different. Except A1 isn't "Queen Approved." The burger, and a nice S'mores Frappuccino. All good.
Lameformer
On Saturday I went to Islands and ordered the "Malibu" burger. It's basically a regular cheeseburger with bacon, and it was pretty good. The meat was really great and the bacon was amazing. Islands is really underrated when it comes to burgers in my opinion.
Nrthwnd
^ EEEEEEEK! Is Islands a franchise only in S.California? Or is Islands all over the U.S.? Just curious. The burger (and fries!) looks great, btw.

RaceBoarder
Here in Chicago we have a little place called Kuma's Corner. They've been around for about 10 years now and are consistently at the top of any "Chicago's Best Burger" rankings. It's a very unique place in that the restaurant carries a Heavy Metal theme. Death Metal and dinner make a hell of a pair I give you the SOURVEIN: 10 oz. patty, Raspberry Aioli, Deep Fried Blackened Chicken Tender, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Sharp Cheddar, Belgian Waffle Strips, and Maple Drizzle. Nrthwnd
^ Nah, Don't think I would make it through, even a quarter of that, lol! Great combo, though. http://www.verasburgershack.com/ Might have this one, called The Stinger, at Vera's, down town tomorrow.
Nrthwnd
Canada's getting this from McDs for the Holly-Daze: "McDonald's gift to you: waffle fries and a burger with a hash brown on it" And BACON is in there, too! YUM!
Nrthwnd
And speaking of McDs, I just heard this on the radio... A UK McDonalds decided to put a 25 oz. bottle of their (never shared) Secret Sauce on eBay to see how much, people were willing to pay for it. It went for over........... $94,000 Cdn. ytterbiumanalyst
Brilliant! That'll pay their franchise fee for a month. As for the guy who paid that much for a giant bottle of 1,000 Island dressing...working on a new product line I know you'll love.
Nrthwnd
^ Truth! I did have The Stinger at Vera's, and it was great. Along with a bunch of great fries, too! I took a milkshake instead of the all-you-have soft drinks. Put "The Meal Deal" up a few more $$$ but that was okay... The milkshake was . They sold me on that, alone. Philrad71
When Michael was in the hospital in Buffalo, I would sneak away for a walk as well as try to find a different place to have lunch or dinner. I stumbled onto a place called Allen Burger Venture which had some of the best burgers that I have ever eaten. Take a look! ABV menu This is the #1, which has forest mushroom and cambozola cheese with a brandy peppercorn sauce. Amazing!! I'm salivating just thinking about it! And the homemade tater tots with scallion sour cream dip were also to die for! This is the #5 - Jif peanut butter, bacon, pickled jalapenos and white cheddar. Hungry yet? Finally, this is one of their 'Featured burgers" - the Parma Proscuitto. This one had proscuitto wrapped around it with Urbani white truffled creamed cheese and arugula. The fries were okay, but if I go again, I'll stick with those awesome tots! So good!

Philrad71
^ At one sitting??? They all look de-luscious, Phil. Oh hell no, Bill! This was over the span of the nine weeks that Michael was in Buffalo General. I spaced them out because they were soooo decadent...I would only allow myself to go there like once every couple of weeks. But now I find myself craving them again, although have like -0 ambition to drive out to Buffalo for like the next 5+ years!

TheAmericanKnight
Jimmy Z's in Brockport, NY has the Eiffel Tower burger. It's a cheeseburger topped with cheddar cheese, 2 chicken fingers, 2 onion rings, BBQ sauce, and bacon. It is as good as it sounds (Edit : I just found out about the automatic text changing thing for the word "ring". LOL)
Nrthwnd
^ That reads like this burger would need a knife and fork for it, LOL! Ooo lah lah! (I also tried to find any photo of the damned thing. But - nada! )
