I don't care who wins I'm just happy the season is finally ending. Right now I don't think either team will be back next fall. Chicago can only be good for so long before they true into the the team were all used to seeing.

^ And now a new curse will begin. I think the only reason they won was because of the rain delay. If that delay doesn't happen I don't think they win. Also I'm hearing that this is the first of 3 straight titles. Heck the fans are already calling them a dynamic.

Does Jeff Johnson count this donkey as a credit?

The Cubs were the better team, top to bottom. The Indians played a heck of a series, but at the end I think talent just took over. That being said Maddon tried to lose it for the Cubs, no way Chapman should have pitched that much. I'm a Reds fan, Chapman is an amazing closer, the guy is a blast to watch, but the more he pitches the less effective he is.

I do think the Cubs will be around again next year, depending how they handle free agency. I believe Arrieta and Chapman are the only two that are going to hit the market. You will have a world series team potentially returning their entire starting lineup along with 4 of 5 of their starts, all 5 if Arrieta resigns.

Welp, the world is still turning, I think. It's incredible that the Indians got as far as they did.

This is so I can post online and impress other people who are very good at procuring unfamiliar children in order to go on rides designed for children, and thus have a higher arbitrary number than me."

Here's a link to a listing of the 2016 Cubs contracts: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/186IV6_jKrs2mIUHX3gKnBoL8M65dvzQbdmGi9DwAC8I/pubhtml. It's a Google Docs Spreadsheet from https://www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/national-league-central/chicago-cubs/

I can't agree with this more. The team has 6 starters under the age of 24, that's just ridiculous. I'm a Mets fan, and I sure believe that the Cubs learned a lot following last years NLCS.

The Cubs are in good shape until 2020-2022 when all their current cheap rookie contracts expire.
