The adventure of Lil' Robby Robb

Recommended Posts

Wow, man! Thanks! That's such a great thing to hear

I'm really glad to see that people might be looking forward to this book.

By the way, feel free to leave critiques on the ocmic I psoted. I wasn't %100 happy with it, so I got some feedback from other poeple, and I'm probably going to give it a magor makeover to make it funnier and more consistant, art-wise.

Also, in case some fo you hadn't noticed, I posted a link to a non-coaster comic to show you what else the book will have to fofer.

By the way... It's okay for me to post this, right? I mean, it's a shamelss self plug, but it also has something to do with TPR.

If it's not I apologize in advance.

I couldn't find any problems with any of the strips.

Except one thing... Why would somebody ask a random stranger if they ate tacos or not on a coaster? That just seems so random. And then he asked you if you've ever eaten Wendy's??

^Lol, that's the entire point of the comic. I didn't make it up, it actually happened!

^^ Thank you so much! I am hoping it will, however, when it will be avalible, where will it be avalible, how it will be avalible, etc. are questions I can't answer just yet.

Assuming it does get released in the USA, the "worst" case scenario is that I print just a couple of regular paper copies and take them with me whenever I travel to the USA next (which might not be for a couple of years), and try to unload them at whatever comic book store might be around the area I'm visiting.

Best case scenario is that I somehow manage to get it published wide-spread as a polished little book in comic book stores across the country rather soon after August, and it'll be avalible online somehow, in a way that allows for quick shipping(seeing as things take forever to get to/from Israel).

I have no idea about how these things work outside of Israel so if anyone's into comics... any help would be appreciated.

Oh! By the way! I forgot to mention a really important thing!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

On May 2nd Free Comic Book Day takes place around the world(No, you've never heard of it before, Yes, they probably do have it at your local comic book store). I recently visited London, so I dropped off a couple of copies(no more than 9 though) of the free sample book at Orbital Comics. So if anyone happens to be around London on May 2nd, drop by and see if you can get a copy!

^ shrewd thinking, I was just about to say that myself!!

I'd honestly buy a copy if it was sold through the site's store. I really wish you the best of luck on this journey, I'm also in the process of a project too but I'm writing a novel so we both have stuff up our sleeves!

Best of luck and I look forward to see what luck brings you FLIP!

Oh, I hope Robb will let me sell them in the store, that would really help out at least in terms of marketing to TPR members.

^Heh, thank you, but it's not a book deal, it's a self-published comic book. Usually I do everything myself, the art, writing, printing, folding, stapling, getting it to the store, etc. And it turns out okay.

Of course, that being said, pretty much all of Israel's comic book stores(which is approximately 3) are within 10ft distance of each other, and walking distance from my house. I might have to change a few things if I go trans-atlantic.

Again, help by someone who knows a thing or two abotu either publishing, or comic books would be appreciated.

Chris, what's the novel you're working on? Details!

^ well it's not anything yet. I'm still looking for people I can base characters off of. But TPR is one of the main character's favorite websites, and fictionally he goes on the Midwest trip but the novel takes place in 2023.

That's all I can reveal about it at the present, I don't want to ruin the surprise of when I DO start writing it!

Sadly, the book isn't out yet. I was close to finishing it on time, but two days before the deadline I realized it wasn't going to be ready. (The deadline was Israel's comics festival, which is taking place as we speak).

So I'm going to add some more content to it to really buff it up to a larger book(and also to balance it out, because right now more than half the book is about coaster stuff, and not everybody who's going to read it is from TPR)

So it might come out later this year, or during the next comics festival. depends on when I finish it.

So I'm sorry about the delay, folks!

Also, I don't really have any experience with uploading comic books. I think that as a start I'd rather just send actual printed copies of it, unlesss it was a problem for someone.
