I went to Pcw last night for the seasons pass holders preview night. I had a pretty good time other than the fact that I currently have an annoying cold. I got at least one ride on all the big rides and a bunch of rides on Drop Zone and Shockwave. The lines were nonexistent at the start of the night, but later on the crowds began too grow, but only a little. The maximum time I waited for a ride was just over 15 minutes.

Below are some pictures I took.

On-board the 1st of 3 buses.

The second bus ride was long and boring, so uhhh, yeah, here's a picture of my feet.

Yay, getting close. Just one more bus to go.

Finally made it. The park advertised a 6pm opening time, but opened way before that.

My first ride of the season, not a bad way to start off.

First coaster of the year for me was Wild Beast.

Always a fun ride.

I rode it a bunch of times thanks to the short line.

The indoor theatre and fountain.

I wish I had waited for a train before taking this picture.

Vortex's track was painted during the off season, but the supports were left untouched. Hopefully they will finish the job soon, it would look a lot better.

The best ride on the planet!

weeeee

mmmm Togo goodness.

A toilet bowl that flushes riders into the lazy river.

The fish under the bridge next to the Italian Job entrance.

A big intimidating ride which is actually quite boring.

Awesome.

A Godfather ride would be great instead of Tomb Raiders or Top Guns....

The new restaurant, which looks pretty good and leap years ahead of the one it replaced.

Oooooh, what did that replace? Southside Grill? ::crosses fingers::

Yay, two PTRs of PCW posted on the same day.

Nice photos, it's great to see someone showin some Togo love. Seeing pictures of my four favorite rides at PCW (Skyrider, Vortex, Jet Scream, Drop Zone) makes me even more excited to visit.

What did you think of how Minebuster and Wild Beast were running?

Yeah, the Southside Grill is gone.

Wild Beast was running pretty good, felt like they did some work on it and it sounded a little wierd going down each hill. Minebuster was its usually crappy self. It wasn't as painful as in past years but all the bumps are still there and barely even any airtime in the backseat on the first drop.

Okay, let me preface this by saying I've never been to that park before and maybe she was headed to an establishment next door or something.

Now, I'm curious because I've seen this before at other places.....ladies, can you please tell me why some chicks go to a park dressed like they were headed for a nightclub? That looks like it would be a very uncomfortable trek around the park.

Sorry, that just happens to be my wife's pet peeve, which is how I spotted it in the first place.

Nice pics by the way, bro.

^I noticed that too. I don't understand it either. You're spending the day outside, not at a bar. If you're at a park to pick up dudes, then God help you. LOL.

The other thing that bothers me is when chicks wear really short skirts to amusement parks. Um, hello??? lol.

Your pictures are top notch, even the Exclusive Pictures! The one of Vortex as a maze of track is really neat. I think it actually looks better without a train flying through.

I also find it funny that my girlfriend immediately associated you with TPR by the way you were taking pictures on Wild Beast. We were both hoping to see a PTR from you

I've been to sick and busy lately to properly enjoy a good beer.

lol..I thought the same thing when I heard someone mention that they weren't stacking the trains.

Nice photo's indeed. I have never been to PCW, but next trip abroad I'll be sure to make a trip there now. It looks clean and 'well-dressed'...the park I mean..lol

That chick looks like she's going to a strip club of some sort. I'll have to admit that was the first thing I noticed in the pic. What the heck is she wearing? Who is her fashion consultant?

I mean come on....HIGH HEELS at an amusement park? And whats the deal with that white skirt/shorts with (looks like) black spandex...lol

Ok...enough...lol

Someone give her a gift card to "THE GAP"

Did you just say they weren't stacking trains on Wild Beast?!?!

Wow, must say I have never had the pleasure of experiencing that. Went for Opening Day earlier and I must say that the crew on Top Gun was brutal! A normal 15-20 minute wait took about 45 minutes. For everyone's sake I hope they speed up as the season goes on.

I was very happy to see that Vortex got some new paint, the track was getting to look pretty aged to say the least.

We went on Dragon Fire and the ride was quick quick through, no stacking. The crew was really fast.

But uh it wasn't like that for any other coaster. Especially on Minebuster, and even the usually-speedy Vortex.

And there are always lots of trendwhores who show up at Wonderland, mainly due to the location in the park [right next door to a rich neighbourhood and near a few upscale areas].

It gets much worse in the summer. Especially when the 12 year olds who think they're 20 show up.

I always feel so creepy getting eyed up by the little 14 year old girls (or should I say prostitots), happened quite a bit today actually. With the clothes they wear it looks like they could be so much older.

You're right about Dragon Fire though, the crew was fast and the ride was smooth, wish I could say the same about Top Gun. Vortex was running great too, fast as ever and smoother than I remember!

Went to Pcw for opening day on Sunday. The crowds weren't too bad during the morning but as the afternoon went on, more and more people began to crowd the lines and midways.

I got on everything I wanted, except for Shockwave. Every time I passed it, it either had a big line or was shut down.

I got a few excellent rides on Wildbeast today as well. I really noticed how smooth the little hop before the fan turn is now. Finally they made an improvement that didn't neuter it any further.

I guess the line could be worse for the Italian Job...

After someone spilled a protein shake they finally loaded a train.

The lazy river is full of water now (it was bone dry on Friday).

weeeeee

I think I'll pass...

weeeeee...but didn't get to ride it

They should be taking that out instead of the Orbiter!

I R HUNGERY RAWRRRRR

weeee?

Still empty.

Some of Top Gun's supports were painted, but a lot of the track is still covered in crap.

Robb's favourite.

It still looks pretty ghetto if you ask me...

While my girlfriend and I sat down before we left, we this saw guy talking to a police officer...

As we left the park we saw them again, the guy sounded pretty drunk. After we walked over to look at the new stunt show area we saw them again, they were arguing back and forth about something.

I also tried to make a few panoramic shots, the sky was acting up in them but I think they turned out ok.

Ooooooh, that panoramic of Vortex is gorgeous.

That picture of Sol Loco made me very sad... Yeah, they should take out Wild Knight Mares instead!! (I refuse to use their "new" names, lol)

RIP Orbiter

::EDIT:: Am I hallucinating, or is that TWO trains running AT ONCE on Top Gun?????????? What park IS this???
