Three Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I say Texas Giant. Having just gotten back from the two remaining Six Flags parks in Texas, I'm amazed more people don't talk about that beast. Sure, it's been overshadowed. But it still kicks ass.
easytoremember Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Georgia Cyclone at SFOG. Many people complain that it is too rough, but it really does not bother me. The extreme ejector air time is the most I have had on any coaster.
the sound Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Scenic Railway at Luna Park Melbourne. Maby its just me, but i really love this ride. Its Old, Its rough, and it has some suprisingly good drops for its small height size. I also have to say Tonre De Zeus. It is very highly rated among us coaster people, but with others, its not as higher scorer.
Rugged One Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Ooooh, it's nice to see such a good topic come back from the dead. I'll cast a vote for the Silver Comet at Martin's Fantasy Island. With a great airtime hill at the start, a wild finish with sweet air at the end, and loads of great laterals in the middle, I definitley think that this is one of the most grossly overlooked wood coasters out there. Late 90s CCI mastery at it's best.
lapseofreason Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Definitely Big Dipper at Geauga Lake. It's one of the first coasters I rode. I haven't been on it in a few years... but wow, can you say "airtime"? I love this coaster.
Darien Laker Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I definitely say Silver Comet at Martin's Fantasy Island, and the Jack Rabbit at Seabreeze. While I really did enjoy Comet at HP and American Eagle at SFGAm, that was back when I was a little kid so I really don't know how they are now.
BiCoastal Kid Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I like it better than any of the wood that SFMM's packin'. That doesn't take much.
steel Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Let's see... Texas Giant, Blue Streak, Avalanche (Timber Falls), etc.
coasterbilly Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 hmm I'm going to go with Gwazi @ BGA, even though they don't duel, they are 2 completely different woodies that give great experiences i think. Also Grizzly @ PKD, it's in the woods and has some great airtime moments, plus the tunnel gives a great head chopper moment, and it's in my top 5 for night ride experiences.
Zand Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Wildcat at HP and Villain at GL. Wildcat is awesome (and smoother) in the back and Villain is incredibly intense.
