BelizeIt
One Example of this Is....... Roger Clements Possibly Heading Back to the Red Sox. That woulds Be Incredible! Roger, was Destine to Win a World Series In Boston, He Still Has the Chance to Make It Happen. As A Long Time RedSox Fan, I Hope Roger Decides To Come Home! Roger Is One Of The Greatest MLB Players of All Time! When He Enters the Hall Of Fame, I Hope He'll Be Wearing a Red Sox Uniform.

Scaparri
My favorite team, the Brewers, seems to trade or not resign every really good player they get. They traded Podsednik last year, they just traded Lyle Overbay to Toronto. I'm just waiting for them to trade Carlos Lee. -Scott "Will stand by Milwaukee no matter what though" Parrish
307
The Jays have so far: -- re-signed my favourite player, Reed Johnson [1yr @ $1.425 million] -- re-signed general manager J.P. Ricciardi to a three-year deal. -- traded Gabe Gross , David Bush and Zach Jackson to Milwaukee for Lyle Overbay and Ty Longasslastname -- signed B.J. Ryan to a five-year, $45 million contract -- signed A.J. Burnett to a five-year, $50 million contract -- put Eric Hinske and Miguel Batista on the trading block We're making the money moves this year, boys. Watch out for Toronto next year. And to Scaparri: Gross will be a good power hitter in the future. He just needs MLB playing time, which he will now get in Milwaukee. Bush is already a respectable pitcher. Again, he should get better with age. Zach Jackson is a first-round pick from 2004 and has already improved drastically playing A and AA ball last year. So it's not like you guys got raped in this deal
momo1tx
Yeah! The Nationals got Soriano! We got a pretty good deal, Wilkerson was struggling and Sledge was injured all year, and Soriano is awesome. He's the second star on the Nationals who I've seen play minor league baseball in Columbus.
alpengeistdude321
Yeah! The Nationals got Soriano! We got a pretty good deal, Wilkerson was struggling and Sledge was injured all year, and Soriano is awesome. He's the second star on the Nationals who I've seen play minor league baseball in Columbus. The Nationals still haven't found him a position to play though. The Padres so far have: -traded for Pirates utility-man Bobby Hill :? -signed Mike Cameron -resigned Brian Giles -resigned Trevor Hoffman -traded Mark Loretta for Doug Mirrabeli -signed Geoff Blum -traded Sean Borroughs for Dewon Brazelton :? The Padres are making moves like crazy this offseason. I'm really sad to see Mark Loretta leave, but I'm happy to see Trevor Hoffman and Brian Giles resigned. Key moves in the MLB: -B.J. Ryan got way overpaid by the Blue Jays, he isn't really a proved closer yet -Rafeal Furcal with the Dodgers -Juan Pierre to the Cubs -Carlos Delgade to the Mets -Billy Wagner to the Mets -Manny Ramirez to possibly the Angels/Orioles -Aaron Rowand for Jim Thome It's been a busy offseason. -
SixFlagsTexas
Yeah! The Nationals got Soriano! We got a pretty good deal, Wilkerson was struggling and Sledge was injured all year, and Soriano is awesome. He's the second star on the Nationals who I've seen play minor league baseball in Columbus. IMO Soriano is Overrated. He always strikes out, and he doesn't have good stats away from home. He had a great ballpark to hit homeruns at because Ameriquest Field is a launching pad, and now he's playing at RFK Stadium. I would think he would finish with an average around .250 next season. Wilkerson will do great in Texas, and he already has a better OBP than Soriano. Go Rangers!
stingrock23
"::cries:: Marlins got rid of Juan Pierre, my idol. SadSad OK tribute time There he is!" And he landed in my favorite, the Cubs. They just need one more bat. Pierre was a great pickup. I can't wait to cheer for him.
WalrusMan
So Giants moves this offseason: -Let go of Scott Eyre. Not to dissapointed with that, relief pitchers are hit and miss and paying for him as much as he got is not worth it. - Picked up Worrell. Not bad, but we had enough people in the bullpen already. -Traded Hawkins + cash for Kline. This trade sucked. Hawkins was a reliable reliever and Kline doesn't seem like all that good. He was brought in as a lefty-specialist to replace Eyre but his numbers against lefties weren't all that good last season. -Picked up Sweeny. Sweeny? SWEET! Oh...Mark not Mike. Yeah basically he's good for pinch hitting and backup, but he's looking to be a platoon player it looks like. Would have rather have had Snow back. -Denied arbitration to Snow and Tomko. Bad moves. Would have liked to have seen both come back. Snow as our backup 1B/platoon and Tomko as our 4/5 starter. -Picked up Morris. Our big acquisition. With Morris our rotation will be Schmidt/Morris/Lowry/Cain/Hennessey or Correia or cheap free agent. Not all that promisiong 4 & 5 though... All that done and still a 2B/SS utility man and backup catcher to pick up. Looking to be a better season for them this year.
disneygurlz2s
I am boycotting the Reds this season over the Sean Casey trade. He was my favorite (current) Red and was such an asset to the City. I am stunned that, given how badly they have sucked the past couple years, that they would trade a player so totally beloved by the fans...especially for a pitcher who's had shoulder surgery in the last two years or something. Stupid, stupid Reds. Shari "I hope they end up in last place" Shoufler

They just need one more bat. Pierre was a great pickup. I can't wait to cheer for him. Um, I think the Cubs need more than one more bat. The Furcal disaster basically speaks volumes about the Cubs state. Why would anyone go to a team that already has four middle infielders, no manager (at the time) and, no real GM? Because the Cubs was his only other choice for the money.....we've got so many holes in the line up this year it's scary. Can someone please tell Mr. Hendry we need starting pitching?! I can't take another year of watching Wood and Prior hurt every other week.
307
Johnny Damon to the Yankees, that damn rat bastard. So now it'll be a crapshoot between Boston and Toronto over who will finish second in the league, especially with the possible dealing of Manny to Team to be Named Later. Go Jays, you can do it this year.
crispy
WOOHOO the Giants got Matt Morris, and a much smaller woohoo goes to them getting steve finley I like the starters, and the bullpen looks pretty good, now if we can just keep the geritric ward outfield healthy, we'll be in good shape
mcjaco
I don't get the Finley trade....let's make our outfield older????? Does Alou take the field in a Little Rascal??? The Damon deal pisses me off. It goes to show you that the almight $$$$ is greater than anything to these guys. Scott Boras and T.O.'s (I know entirely different sport) agent should be banned. They're bad for the business.
WalrusMan
The Woohoo of the Finley trade is that Alfonzo is no longer here! He hit 2 (TWO!) home runs last year. Even if Finley had a bad season last season, Alfonzo has had 3 straight bad seasons. This also makes us only have to put up with 1 of the Lindellitmeier trio of underachievers. I still would like a solid 4/5 starter. Need a backup catcher, Haad/Knoedler/Alfonso won't cut it; Middle infielder, Chavez won't cut it; and a true first basemen, a Niekro/Sweeny platoon WILL NOT CUT IT SABEAN! crispy
I DO like the pitching staff for the Giants, well for the most part, there are some pieces missing in the lower part of thew rotation, but the top is damn solid but, yeah, swap an underachieving player, for one so old, he should retire, jeeze, is any of our outfielders under 40? but the thing I'm looking foward to is seeing Bonds play again, hopefully he stays healthy, and compared to Terrell Owens, Bonds is a GREAT guy! BelizeIt
Wow! Damon to the Yankees! He was one on the most respected RedSox players ever! But, the Spankees were willing to pay him 12+ million more dollars than the RedSox! So if Damon was only interested in money, then I guess that would settle the matter. I look forward to the next season! The RedSox will kick Ass!!! Damon can can Fu#@ Himself!!! Next season will be great!!!
crispy
yeah, I agree, that sucks, but if you were offered that much money, it would be very hard to turn down I HATE the yankee's, but what can you do?, oh well
mcjaco
Rumor out of Chicago today, is Mark Prior and two other players for Miguel Tejada....when will Hendry learn that offense doesn't win championships? Especially when the wind blows in at Wrigley for half the season..... Bonds is a great guy??? Crispy, please tell me you're being sarcastic.... WalrusMan
Bonds really isn't that bad of a guy. I've never really heard of him being all that mean. The only thing I remember is the Kent/Bonds thing really.
crispy
The only people he is short with, is the media, I have a friend who met him once, and he was very nice he can also brush some teamates the wrong way, but he does not EVER disrespect his teamates or anyone else by using the media he may be a bit of a jerk, but he does show some respect, so compared to alot of the ego-manical NFL players, Bonds could be sainted
WalrusMan
And onto aquisitions, Jose Vizquaino was signed by the Giants, so they've got their backup infielder, now they just need the backup catcher and a #4/5 starter so they can have a revolving door of Cain/Hennessey/Correia/Cooper/InsertNameHere of 5th starters. And some power might be nice still. As I see it.... SS Vizquel CF Winn 3B Feliz LF Bonds RF Alou 2B Durham 1B Niekro/Sweeny C Matheny 1. Schmidt 2. Morris 3. Lowry 4. Cain 5. Hennessey Would look a lot better with another guy in the #4 and 5 spots and another guy at first but what else can we do really. I've heard rumors of a Mike Lowell for Finley deal to shore up Boston's outfield hole left by Damon. Maybe we could get Matt Clement included in that deal, the Sox have been rumored to not like him and would be willing to trade him. Wouldn't mind it, take on Lowell who can play first and we've only got one person of the Felikro Wiffathon playing.
crispy
Well, aside from how painfully old almost everyone is, I do like that line-up, nice to see Feliz finally get a starting job, he has deserved it for a while and the lower part of the rotation is suspect, but we will see
307
That's a solid line-up for SF. Here's what I'm seeing the Jays as, after they deal Shea Hillenbrand and Eric Hinske 01 SS Russ Adams [they insist he be a lead-off man] 02 LF Frank Catalonnatto [.300 hitter] 03 CF Vernon Wells [let's see if he can hit 30HR, 100RBI!] 04 DH Troy Glaus [worst pick-up this season, still should be good for 30/100] 05 3B Corey Koskie [pray to God he has a better year this year] 06 1B Lyle Overbay [20HR?] 07 RF Alex Rios [let's hope he finds out what "hustle" means] 08 C Gregg Zaun [ugh] 09 2B Aaron Hill [..we traded the best 2B in baseball for this guy to play more!] 01 Roy Halladay 02 Ted Lilly 03 AJ Burnett 04 Josh Towers 05 Gustavo Chacin SU Justin Speier CL BJ Ryan The Jays have a real team this year! It excites me. Would've excited me more if we didn't give up Orlando Hudson for Glaus, but them's the breaks I guess.
WalrusMan
crispy, the Giants have 2 starters (Feliz and Niekro) that will total about 25 walks this season. That's the part I hate about the line-up. Any possibility you'd want a Hinske for Feliz deal 307? He can play 1st, SS, 3rd, and left, man that's a quality utility man there! What about he doesn't walk? Did I say that? In all seriousness I think if the giants get 110-120+ games from both Bonds and Alou they're a lock for the west. The division is still going to be weak no matter what any of the teams do. This is the last chance for the Giants for a few years. After Bonds leaves in 2006 we can finally start having a team instead of Bonds and the little people. But it would be great to finally get Bonds a ring. He's the greatest athelete ever to not have won a title in his sport. We're gonna be Colorado for 2007 and a few years after that.
