Sf-Dad
Yeah it would be nice to meet up with a few of the people on here. I want too, But my family is worried about St. Louis in it's current condition (Ferguson) so it's a huge IF. That is the second most ignorant statement I have heard on this board. Please don't come. I gotta know whats the first, maybe its by me, I don't know. OK I'm busted, I made that up to give myself some wiggle room. It probably is the most ignorant comment on this board. EastCoastKid
Probably because other parks would rather be known for maintaining the rides they have and building great new rides from the ground up rather than being known for letting rides go to crap and then having to pay to convert them into great rides. I said there would be no RMC without SF, but where would SF be without RMC? Yeah, because Cedar Fair is SO much better at taking care of their aging wooden coasters. *Cough*.. Mean Streak.. *Cough* Thunderhawk.. *Cough* Wild Beast.. *Cough* Ghostrider.. I think I'm catching a cold. Seriously though, if there is no contract, it's only a matter a time for someone else begins stealing Six Flags' thunder with hybrid conversions. I hope it's Cedar Fair. That would be like saying that you are not going to SFGAm because there was a riot in Gary. Indiana. Feguson is almost an hour drive time from Ferguson....that makes no sense I'm sure it makes perfect sense to the Ignoramus from Gurnee.

Funny thing, I keep hearing about how great Mean Streak has been running, though I can't speak for the others. Honestly, I think it varies from park to park on how much they spend on maintenance, but overall, Cedar Fair as a company has done a better job than SF has at maintaining their older coasters, even though it might not be by much. HWFan
Sorry I meant 7. Does anyone know how many boats Scooby is currently operating with and how many it was originally opened with? I'm just thinking 7 vehicles x 6 passengers will be less than X number of boats x 4 passengers. If I remember right, Scooby had a max of 18 boats, but last season it operated with just 9. A few were refurbished for this season, making the ride run with twelve for most of the year, if I'm not mistaken.

Nowadays due to the lower number of boats, you can't ever see the boat ahead of yours while riding.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse but you have no idea how scared a lot of people were of this. First off, even being in five minutes away from Ferguson wasn't dangerous. Hell, my best friend's extended family lives just a block from the epicenter and were fine. We had people pass up FIVE COMP TICKETS because they were scared. Their STL family kept telling them that it was too dangerous to come. If you are really too scared to come to St. Louis, especially Eureka, because of the Ferguson nonsense, you should not be in control of a motor vehicle due to severe lack of judgement. Seriously. But hey, this gives the good old a chance to get their act together. The only cops who are against wearing cameras are bad cops. *steps off soapbox*

ThemeParkJunkie51290
I'm really excited about this new dark ride. I haven't been to this park yet, but I'll be sure to visit next year. I don't get all the hate about this new addition. I think it's going to be the "little brother" version of Men In Black: Alien Attack at Universal. The new special effects, scenery, and etc. is going to be off the charts. The POV from Movie World is amazing, and I know this dark ride is going to draw major crowds. We all just have to wait and see what to expect.

Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters was a fun interactive dark ride, but this new addition is going to take the interactive dark ride experience to a whole new level for a Six Flags Park. I want too, But my family is worried about St. Louis in it's current condition (Ferguson) so it's a huge IF. You're worrying way too much. I'm about ten minutes from Ferguson, which is now mostly quiet, and we haven't had one problem. Six Flags is in the complete opposite direction. Ferguson is also no effecting downtown St. Louis. What a very bold (and ignorant) statement. That being said, we should probably get back on topic before things get ugly. I'll just pretend I didn't read that garbage. theymitbgi
So the new ride has less capacity, but compensates b having a shorter ride time? Seems legit. I really am looking forward to the ride, just not how long the wait will be.

I really am looking forward to the ride, just not how long the wait will be. But if you think about it the ride time is shorter because the boats moved extremely slowly though the water on Scooby-Doo, plus loading and unloading times should improve. Capacity shouldn't be too horrible.
HARLEYGUYJB
So it will be able to process about 500 people per hour based on 5 min total time including loading and unloading ..
SFSTLMO
It seems that the ride is low capacity, even worse than Scooby-Doo.
