smells_like_team_disney
I think ALL professional sports players are overpaid.
Real
^Amen to that! My first pick...TO. Seriously, I know hes really good and all...but hes the worlds largest trash talker and quite possibly the worlds biggest baby. He whines about everything and if he wants huge money numbers, he should be putting up numbers of biblical proportions. Oh wait...isnt this a team sport we are talking about? My bad... SharkTums
I love Warren Sapp! He's not overpaid!!! Seriously though, I also agree that most of these guys are overpaid. Compared to baseball and other prosports though they're not as overpaid as you'd think!
DATman
I also think that they are WAAAAYYYYYY to overpaid. I mean, all they do is play a game, right. Not much else to it, other than practices. It's really quite pointless
Scaparri
He's one heck of a player, but somebody has got to say it... Terrell Owens. If him and his agent weren't such asses about it I would probably have a little more respect for him. "I have a family to feed..." Sorry your nine digit salary isn't cutting it. BelizeIt
You have to Remember that Professional Sports has Nothing todo with Athletics and everything todo with Entertainment. These "Athletes" are Entertainers! Do the NFL Owners make Boat Loads of Cash from selling out their Stadium???? Of Course Not!!! They make it from TV contracts!!! These NFL Athletics are without doubt the best in their field, But to Earn Revenue you need a large TV Fan Base, which the NFL has!
TheGreatOne
It's tough to blame Chad Pennington for anything. If his offensive line would block better, he wouldn't take many vicious hits that injure him.
AllisonY2K
I was going to keep my opinions out of it but since Elissa mentioned it I'll go ahead and say it. I loathe Warren Sapp. I hated him when he played for the Bucs, and the only reason I don't hate him now is because he's gone and is someone else's problem. He's rude, he's stingy, and he's a jerk. (my friend used to deliver pizzas to his house and he wouldn't tip the driver) Everyone else on the list, I have no opinion about, but I loathe Warren Sapp. p.s. how did a kicker make the list? they're normally more scrawny than the QBs..lol. TheGreatOne
Kickers are listed when their perfomance does not match their money, which is why Vanderjagt is listed.

I did say it, but thanks for seconding it. Someone had to do it. Yea, Ill trade him salaries if he wishes. Im on salary but its not 9 digits. He must either have one monster sized family or they must all be the size of sumo wrestlers.
CoasterFanatic
- All kickers are overpaid. They shouldn't even share the same veteran pay scale as "real" football players. - I wouldn't call Chad Pennington overpaid. I would only consider his situation to be unfortunate. I am sure he would love to be injury free right now. - Warren Sapp is a goon. Not a football player. His cheap hit on Chad Clifton in the Green Bay game a couple years ago was the worse thing I have ever seen this side of Bill Romanowski. - You couldn't pay me to hire TO. - Lavar Arrington is a good LB but he does not fit the mold of a Greg Williams defense. He is more of a freelancer. He would be worth the money on almost any other team. Do you hear that Pittsburgh? - All Lions Wide Receivers are overpaid because they don't have one quarterback good enough to make them work for a living. - Hines Ward is worth EVERY DAMN PENNY! duffman
Kellen Winslow Jr. Cleveland Browns. Number 7 overall pick lack draft, and has played 1 and a half games in two years. He decided to do stunts on his motorcycle in a parking lot at night. Well... he crashed, and now hes out for the year. Thanks for nothing jerk! ImAPrincess
- All kickers are overpaid. They shouldn't even share the same veteran pay scale as "real" football players. Excuse me? If all quarterbacks could lead the team in the end zone every time, then they wouldn't need a kicker, but until you show me a quarterback who can do that, kickers are needed to put the necessary points on the board. You know I love Ben & he's a great quarterback. He gets the team down the field for the kicker, but doesn't get a TD every time. That's when Jeff Reed comes in. He at least gets 3 up there. - Hines Ward is worth EVERY DAMN PENNY! Then some
Scaparri
I did say it, but thanks for seconding it. Someone had to do it. Haha, whoops. Guess I kind of missed that one. But yeah, at least other people feel the same way.
ChemicalWhore
if any sport has overpaid players its baseball those guys do jack shit for about 7 innings if you ask me and they make more then any highest paid football player does. You have to think of it in terms like this the average football player is lucky to have a career that would last 5 years and with all the injuries you might suffer and other physical problems I would be trying to get every penny i could Most people work thier entire life but in sports you might get a 10 year career if you are lucky. then have nothing but joint pains, effects from concussions and everything else. Im pretty stupid for going back to college football next season knowing pretty much that im going to screw my ankle up pretty good if i get turned around the wrong way and im not getting paid, but what can i say i love to play football and if i could make it in the nfl id love it. Kids spend thier whole lifes from elementry to college trying to become a professonial athelete it takes a lot of hard work to get to that level and once they do you dont think owners and other compaines are making millions off them by playing and endorsing thier product. FEVER
Chris Chambers(wide receiver) Miami Dolphins. He makes plays when the game is not on the line & when we need him to make plays, he drops every throw. He sucks !!!
SuperGreek1562
Is T.O. Even playing for the Eagles anymore? I was down in Philadelphia this weekend for a youth conference and was staying at the Mariott in the airport. TO was having a conference there and they had us locked up like animals in the corner. But when he got out of that interview or conference he walked straight out and looked PISSED! He didn't talk to anyone and blew off all the TV reporters.
